Just want some feedback on the writing and story of my first chapter, like if the prose work, if the characters are interesting, does the story hook you, some critiques, etc.

"The Winds Howled.
Its song sang loud and proud through the streets of Bline city. A melody or symphony, in harmony with the breathing of Lee Mills, as he aired out mist spelling out lyrics of the skies. He lived through the endless musical of the heaven’s, and as he stopped in his step, so did the tune.
A flier. Deep and red with a sinister mask at its center, it spoke out to him. Flew to his foot as he walked. The mask covered half of the face like a deathly veil. It was smooth, cold, and bone-like. It absorbed the light and glowed eerily with an otherworldly hue. Holding the mere flier gave an unease inside Lee’s stomach like moths biting at his insides.

Its piercing eyes penetrated his soul, they were human yes but also not. Elements of man lived inside those eyes but something else did else did as well. They conveyed a level of hidden malice or hatred. It showed the true horror was not the mask but the wearer behind it. A reminder for Lee and his people that they had beings beyond them. Not just gods or men, or even Magic. But Him. As he continued his walk, a beast sat beside him, filling him with dread. A beast with a slick, black body and imposing wheels. It gleamed with metal chrome and a menacing glare. And inside? An older man sat. His pet pured low and ominous at Lee making his teeth chatter, but he couldn’t hold back the want to stare. Before he even touched it the owner roared. "Get your blue hands ass off my car, you Hellbourne!" Soon enough they were gone like they were never there. Lee could pay no attention to the man’s words for he had something better ahead than any beast. A protest. A protest for change. A protest for his people. And in the end, a protest for him.

Back and forth he went. His rusted cherry wood rocking chair creaking as it brushed against the flooring, and him. A gaze unforgettable as he stared deep into the flame of his fireplace, firelight flickering in his disheveled hair. Memories of days gone by consumed his soul, and he was left with a skeleton of himself. A fallen shadow.
His hands clasped tight, holding on. He was lost in a world that only he could draw, one only he could imagine and live in, one of a lost time. The creaking of the chair and crackling of the fire, combined with the ticking of the grandfather clock, made time only slip faster away from him.
"She's not dead,"
He whispered in a voice that was low and strained. His mind was a storm, with winds of grief unchained. Consumed by sadness, the storm raged outside, with rain beating against the windows in a mournful tide. Tears of the heavens.
The curtains billowed in the night, and the winds howled. They howled lowder and lowder until nothing but the thunder clapped at the windows could overpower them. But he still rocked, lost in his own thoughts, a beacon of grief with his soul's power wrought.
His gaze was intense, his body with inner strife, as if he were channeling the forces of life. His soul was a storm, its power untamed, until the rocking of the chair came to an end.
"She's not dead," he whispered, his voice a mournful rhyme.
The man’s thoughts were interrupted by a sudden gust of wind that rattled the windowpanes and sent a chill down his old spine. The winds of the outside howled stronger and stronger as rain beated against the window with a ferocity that seemed almost personal, as if the elements themselves were determined to find a way inside. A way to take him from his chair. To take him from his thoughts.
The window panes shook and rattled with each gust of wind, the rain splattering against the glass in a never-ending deluge. Inside the living room it was dark and quiet, the only sound was the howling winds and the battering of the rain.
A clap of thunder struck from the storm outside at his home shattering the windows. But he didn’t move. Not a single response but the rocking of his chair and his single sentence. “She’s not dead.” This storm was one of his own turmoil. A storm of his own creation setting him in a never-ending loop of grief. Again and again he rocked as outside grew stronger with each second past. His eyes glowed with a bright intensity, the lightning storm raging within his own depths. His pupils were dilated, the irises were deep, glowing blue that seemed to pulsate with Magic.
He was the storm.
His gaze was focused, intense, and seemed to cut through the darkness of the room like a beacon. As he sat there, lost in thought, the man seemed almost otherworldly, as if he were channeling the power of the storm itself. Or more it was channeling him. His body was tense, his muscles coiled like a spring as he sat perfectly still, other than the rocking of the chair.
Then the chair stopped. She’s not dead. A knock from the front door echoed throughout the home with the storm still raging on. The man got up from his seat and walked his way over to answer, a storm still brewing in his eyes. Opening the door everything stopped as the outside world returned to a fair and clear day. The man’s pupils returned as he stared down at another man standing on his porch.
“Rowan.”

Andrew stood in the courtyard. Sweat dripped down his forehead as he stared deep into the gold chains on the man who stood before him. The figure's stance was unforgettable. Watching Andrew without a single movement. He showed no weakness or emotion no matter what he threw at him. From volcanic flames to teleporting daggers from the heaven’s this man dodged it all and came back ten times stronger. The strong pungent smell of blood filled his nostril as he took off for the man ready to try a different technique. He threw fist after fist but the man dodge after dodge. The lack of fear in the man’s eyes. The lack of a threat, it boiled Andrew from the inside out. His blood was like a stew or soup. He had to win. There was no other way. Steel chains ripped from the earth and sprang onto the man pulling him down to his knees and his hand’s back as Andrew stood before him. 

“Checkmate.”
The man gave Andrew not a word but a single chuckle before a burst of energy exited his body like a field of radiation. Andrew was pushed back in the harsh cold iron gates of the courtyard. A awful ringing in his ear came as his head hit the metal, and all he could now see was the man standing before him.
“Checkmate.”

The man reached out his hand pulling Andrew up and patting his back. “Fine. You win.” Andrew said to the man cold and with a scent of spite in his voice. “Ok, yes but you’ll get me next time. You got me down didn’t you?” “I didn’t keep you down.” “Well, let’s not focus on that. You’ve done good today, and well in all our training brawls. You have won a fair amount recently, don’t let this loss get you down.” “You say that Jal, but I have too. You know my father expects me to be the best of the best and good or ok won’t work.” “We’ll get there Andrew, we’ll get there.” “Hey if you say so.” “Agreed, now on the topic of your father, I have a meeting with him, royal advisor stuff.” “Well, don’t keep him waiting any longer. He hates when someone’s late.” “Oh don’t worry I’ll get going now, I wouldn't wanna keep him waiting.”

Jal traveled down the halls of the great Bline Castle whistling a silent tune from his lips. The gold doors to the throne room sat before him, and as he stepped inside so did The King. Immediately Jal kneeled, praising his very presence. “You request me, my great king?” “Indeed such. It’s nothing much. I just would like to be informed on Andrew’s training for this week.” “I would say well. He’s on track to being a master before his 30s, possibly in his early 20s. That is a incredible– Can he beat you?” “Eh, it depends. He has a recent strong track record but has a tendency to be headstrong. I think I would like to connect to him on a deeper level, maybe understand the boy.” “Jal, you’ve trained him since he was 11, you know him enough. Now, from what I’m hearing, he’s losing.”

“Not necessarily.” “No. I don’t wanna hear excuses for my son, I want you to make him a warrior stronger than you, or anyone in the Bline empire. He must be as strong as me eventually so when I pass he can take on this role as The Bline King. Understand?” “I understand sire.” The doors of the throne room burst open with a soldier panting as he dripped with sweat. “Dear god what is it?” “Magicborn. There’s a protest downtown, hundreds of them. I don’t believe it’s become violent but it is becoming a disturbance.” “Even if it was not a disturbance it goes against federal law for Magicborn to hold a protest under Kinland grounds. Lead a few soldiers to take them all out.” The soldiers left but Jal remained with The King. “Don’t you believe more soldiers should be sent out for such a mass threat.” “What threat?” “You heard the man, hundreds of Magicborn. Even without physical weapons they have access to natural Magic Gifts. Don’t we see that as any threat?” “No we don’t. See Jal, let me give you a lesson on Magicborn and the soil you stand on.” “Well this is exactly wooden flooring but– These Hellbournes, who do you believe to be stronger? A human army of soldiers with multiple systems of human Magic taught and mastered by The Kin. Magic that could turn a Magicborn to dust and bones with a single rune? Magic that The Kin himself used to build our great Kinlands? Or Magicborn gifts?” “Us. My mistake sir I was just trying to be prepared for the worst.” “Well maybe instead of focusing on your personal opinion you can train my son and well, be my goddamn royal advisor! You're dismissed.” “Yes, My sire.” 

Frenzied voices ices and echoes of chaos traveled through the city streets as Lee arrived at the protest. Their voices shook the foundation of the city, a cacophony of anger. For change. He stood there with a strange sensation climbing his spine. The voices around him went muffled until they were completely incoherent. Trapped. Trapped inside himself with no doors or windows to leave. Stuck in a space unescapable. His freedom's put away in a little box, locked away from him. A cold sensation washed over him, but he was sweating as if it was boiling hot. He broke down to his knees, as he breathed in and out harder and harder. The fog came in and the crows flew back as the darkness attacked, and the world flashed before him. Magicborn fell on the concrete. Blood rivers through the streets. Imprints of runes carved into the bodies.
Finally the flashing stopped as a Magicborn stood before him, blade in hand. He fought a Bline soldier off with incredible swordsmanship. All Lee could make out though was the clashing of The Magicborn’s steel sword against the soldier’s armor. It made no dent. No matter how hard or where he hit the soldier made not a single flitch.
“You use a poor man's metal, Hellbourne.”
The soldier began to draw a rune into space. A painting of death in the air that could leave a Magicborn dust and bone. As the drawing came to a complete it lit up like fire, a shining star in the midnight sky. Then it sprang off the man’s fingertips and into the Magicborn’s skull.

The Magicborn felt a burning sensation begin to manifest in his skull, then climbing through all areas of his body. He burnt at the start but then became cold to the touch. His skin began to peel from the bone as he hyperventilated and his eyes glowed up gold. Finally, he felt lifeless, a combination of bones stuck together with patches of flesh glued on. And through all of that Lee stood watching moving not a mere muscle. He was frozen solid, his face engraved in fear. The soldier turned over to him telling him to kneel. All Magicborn who attended this protest would die because of it. So Lee lifted up his arm throwing it back like a baseball bat and launched his fist into the Soldier's shoulder. The man tossed back and into the concrete dropping his own blade. Looking back for Lee the soldier saw blank space. Lee took off running." 

I had an unbearable identity crisis few months ago. When I moved to abroad alone my feminine side became very prominent. That time I posted here, whether it is a fetish or more. It was a big step for me to register here and ask questions like this. I always felt that something was wrong with me and it could not be normal. Especially since it also has a significant sexual component. Earlier I tried to suppress all of my thoughts regarding this. I started actively read about transsexualism and watched a lot of videos since February. I wanted to try an experiment. To live as a woman as long as it is comfortable for me. I live alone abroad and work from home, so it helped a lot. My first step was to eliminate the sexual component (porn, masturbation). I read that this is really important to figure out the real feelings, thoughts. Outside the house I live like a man. But at home my life became totally different. I'm quite a maximalist, so if I want to be a woman, I only imagine myself as a well-groomed, feminine woman. A WOMAN. I grew my hair. I completely depilate my whole body. I ordered female clothes. From lingeries, bra, shoes, skirt everythings. I have complete sets. I only wear female clothes at home. Of course I started to use a bunch of cosmetics. I have my daily beauty routine in the morning and in the evening. Plus, one beauty day at home. I started an online make up course. My skills are dramatically improved. I apply make up every day no matter what. I also do my manicure and pedicure. Of course the first few weeks were strange, but I tried to keep this experiment. Many times I didn't feel like doing these things, but I did everything anyway. Every refined woman does them regardless of the mood. I was shocked because earlier these activities gave me euphoria, but now they became like everyday duties. I can sit still for hours doing my make up and nails. The sexual component completely disappeared. I tried different online makeover apps. It turned out that red hair would look best on my skin and eyes. Than I ordered a red wig and recreate the make up. I was shocked because when I looked in to mirror it was the first time when I saw a woman. It was my turning point. Since then, I've been thinking about how I would look if I took hormones, had surgery and could apply make up well. Concerning sexual urges, I stopped watch porn and jerking. It was a hard task. My brain was craving for these impulses. I changed my reaction. I can get pleasure, but the only way is like a woman. So I again bought dildo (because earlier I throw away with all my female stuff). I started to use it few times a week, if I was horny. I can very rarely achieve orgasm with it, but then I remember that this is also the case with women during sex. So it bothers me less and less. It is very important that I have no Post nut clarity after orgasm. On the contrary, I feel much more feminine. Moreover, I also had sex with a man. I was shocked for few days after that. But I did it again. And again.. I was virgin earlier. I have never had sex with women, but I had girlfriends. Now I could immagine myself as a girlfriend. My man side is fading away and it looks like that all of my previous goals, habits are no longer is interesting for me. Business, lot of money, sport, be active, dominant and strong. I think I should start the transition. Now I am 35. Maybe now I can the last chance to reborn as a woman. I think I will be passable and I could fit into society as a woman after few years. I am abroad, so I think it would help me dramatically. They do not need to knew about my previous life. I want to move to a different city where they will know only the woman. My family is really traditional. I always wanted to have a family, kids. Now I think I can all of these, if I do not suppress my real self and accept my role, as a woman and make radical changes. I'm more afraid of my family's rejection than of not being a beautiful woman and it's too late. I am really interested in your thoughts about my post. Is there any transsexual with similar stories? I (f20) got abused by my brother (m32) for as long as I can remember. My brother has a lot of anger and frustration which he decided to take out on me when I was probably 7 years old. (That's the earliest abuse I can remember.) He had mentally abused me, physically abused me, and my parents stood by and watched and failed to protect me and they still fail to protect me to this day. When I was younger he would bully me a lot and be mean and degrading towards me which made me stress eat a lot (about age 10) which is why I'm now overweight. My parents neglected me and didn't make meals for me and somehow expected me to be able to make healthy decisions. I also had to wear the same clothes almost every day because my clothes were dirty or didn't fit me well. My mother is also a hoarder and I had a closet full of clothes I didn't want and when I opened my closet everything would just fall out making my mom angry because I made a mess. I often went to bed hungry and I would often lock myself in my room because of the constant discussions my parents would have with eachother and with my brother. I also didn't have a lot of friends growing up because I wore the same clothes daily, kind of smelled, and whenever I brought classmates to my house they would see the mess it is. My brother lives on his own and comes over literally every day and these memories of him abusing me and my parents not doing anything about it haunts me to this day. It's like he's a little angel who can do no wrong but as soon as I do something back or I hit him back I get yelled at. I don't know what I did to deserve this. I now suffer from extreme social anxiety, I am really paranoid all of the time, I feel extremely depressed and I keep on dissociating even when the situation I'm in isn't even stressful. I also am scared of failure because of the constant abuse I've faced. I go to therapy now and I've tried medication, meditation, breathing exercises, light trauma therapy (I forgot what it's actually called) but nothing helps. Kind of feels like I have ptsd because those memories will come randomly to me and it'll give me a fight or flight response. I feel like this will never go away and I will never be able to be somewhat normal and to be able to live a normal life where I have a stable job, friends and maybe even a boyfriend. I have too much baggage and I'm too hard to be around let alone to understand. I also trust no one anymore so I don't think I'll ever form a good bond with anyone. I hope my brother suffers for what he did to me. He ruined my life. I hope he gets cancer and just dies so I never have to see him again. He is an awful person all he does is steal and cause pain to others. Especially his family members. He uses intimidation tactics towards all of them and always complains and he looks down upon everyone in our family. I don't understand why he hates me so much. I've been protecting him all my life by telling no one about this or about what happened. If I tell anyone I will lose my parents aswell they will probably just throw me out of the house and they will protect my brother at all cost. I feel like I'll never escape this hell hole I live in unless something happens to my brother. I really hope karma exists.

Smoke… fire… running… “Help!!!'' Elizabeth hears her mom and brother yell from the house her father is carrying her from… from her house! Their house! The house she's lived in since she was a baby. Her father puts her down. “DON'T move!” He runs back into the house. Her eyes remain dry as the heat evaporates her tears almost instantly, she stares at the fire. She sees a blue flash. Her father does not return. Kobolds and goblins, they sack the town around her as she stares into the fire that consumes her house, her family and the town around them all … Elizabeth just stares in disbelief, meanwhile, a gnome roasts marshmallows in the ash of what is left of everything she's ever loved.
2 weeks later
She didn't leave what was once her home town with much, only a bag of coins; a little melted, and a stuffed animal, oddly and completely unsinged. Elizabeth was 10, she had walked here with a group of newly orphaned kids to this treacherous place and met strange people far removed from her old town.
After only a few days there, you could say she was having quite a culture shock. She soon realized she couldn't make it on her own so… she surrendered and reluctantly went to the orphanage with a few of the others. She didn't blend with them very well, but that didn't matter much, for long. A nobleman soon came to do charity work and scensed magic and potential in her during his charity drive and made sure all other aspiring parents stayed away from her. At the end almost all orphans were adopted except her and before he left he offered her the opportunity to be his apprentice for he was primarily a wizard .
At first she hated even the thought of this because of her bad experiences with magic and it’s creatures as well as her parents warnings against interfering and using magic. But he gave her three days to mull it over and eventually she decided it was the best thing for her to do. She considered that she would be well cared for, and magic couldn't really be that bad. Only the creatures and people who used it. Only good people should have magic.
So she learned slowly with his training, starting with the very basics of collecting materials. “Where are we going, Sir?” she asked, while eating her buttered muffin and soup presented to her by one of the few servants the powerful wizard had. Nepotism kept him from the very top but his prowess in not only magic but speeches in court had gotten many magic schools more funding. “We must go to the shroom forest for the ingredients I need for my next potion” he used as his reply, which left his lips almost before she finished her question.
So they finished breakfast and traveled to the forest early, for it takes a long time, about 9 hours by carriage to get from the capital to the forest. The wizard, Vincent, continued to teach her her first spell for most of the trip which he just called, “Dancing lights”, and she was able to make 7 bursts of dancing lights by the time they’d arrived. “IS that really all you can do?” Vincent said disappointedly. “This is a simple spell, even the least of creatures could learn it! Ugh I’ll expect more when we train again, now, let's gather my ingredients before the sun disappears from the sky!!!”
His outburst was uncalled for and her pride was hurt. She managed to conceal it and just nodded. Then once she had stepped out of ear-shot of him, she muttered “What an unpleasant curmudgeon,I thought I was doing a good job!”
Out of sight of Vincent and where they couldn’t hear each other she was greeted by butterflies who were attracted to the burst of light she’d been creating. They flew around her, their wings creating a soft, melodic hum. Elizabeth couldn't help but smile at their beauty and she reached out to touch one of them. As soon as she did, she felt a jolt of electricity run through her body and then the butterfly disappeared.
Vincent quickly reappeared, as if from the air itself, violently shooing the butterflies away. He turned to Elizabeth, a stern look on his face. "Never touch those, Elizabeth!" He hissed, through clenched teeth. "They may look harmless, but they are powerful creatures!"
Stunned, she had never seen him so genuinely angry, and yet worried. It was unnerving to say the least.
As they walked along in the woods the air slowly became humid and heavy. Soon, the trees started appearing to be shroomish and suddenly they were in a swampy marshland and the path became one of coble instead of dirt. They walked towards a village of mushroom people. They didn't look much like mushrooms, just the top of their heads, where a cap grew like a hat, making them look mushroom-ish. These are the myceli-ites," Vincent said, as they approached the village. "They are the race that live parallel with the mushrooms."
Elizabeth was fascinated as she watched the myceli-ites tend to the mushrooms, a seemingly older mushroom came up to Vincent, “Lord Chancellor Vincent, for what do I owe this honor?”
“Miss Shroomen'', he replied “Worry not, for I am in fact just here for ingredients. Do you still have your blue and black mushrooms?”
Her eyebrows shot up, for just a quick moment that it almost made Elizabeth doubt that she even saw the change in her expression, but, YES! It was there!
“W-why yes we do, just follow me.”
“Stay here Elizabeth!” Vincent said firmly.
Elizabeth nodded obediently and stayed behind as Vincent followed the myceli-ite deeper into the village.
She watched as the mushroom people went about their daily tasks. She felt a sense of curiosity and slight disgust. She didn't care how little these creatures were related to the kobolds and goblins that burned her village or that stupid gnome who almost taunted her. She held a grudge against magical creatures and would certainly never trust them fully again.
As she looked around, she noticed a young myceli-ite girl watching her with interest. The girl had bright blue eyes and a miscellaneous smile. Elizabeth smiles back at her, and the girl ran over to her.
"Hi there!" The girl says excitedly. "I'm Char. and you?”
“Elizabeth” she said, a little startled, after she remembered where she’d been only a little less than a month ago.
“I'm sorry did I startle you” asked Char.
“Yes, but it’s quite alright''.
Char looked up at her with a curious expression.
"You're not from around here, are you?"
Elizabeth shook her head, "No, no I’m not. I'm actually from a different town far away. Well, actually now I live in the capital."
Char's eyes lit up. "Wow, that sounds so cool! I've never been anywhere outside of this forest before."
Elizabeth Ignored a pang of sadness in her chest as she remembered her own home, then giggled “ yeah it's pretty cool they just built a big tower that has something new in it,... I think it's called a clock. I just know it's expensive but Vincent says they are making cheaper ones.
“Who's Vincent?” Char asked.
“Oh well he's my…'' Elizabeth paused, who were they to each other? Is he a friend, a mentor, or was she simply his servant? No, she was no servant and he didn't treat her as kindly as a friend. “He's my mentor,” she firmly stated.
“Oh, okay” Char responded.
As if on cue, Vincent returned with a small pouch. He handed it to Elizabeth and informed her it was time to go. Elizabeth nodded goodbye to Char and swiftly followed Vincent out of the village.
They turned back onto the cobblestone path. “I thought you said we would be collecting ingredients, not trading.”
“I didn't trade” Vincent replied coldly, “Come on, no more questions, we must continue your studies.''
Vincent and Elizabeth headed back to the carriage and started back to the capital.
On the way Vincent and Elizabeth improved her dancing lights trick as it was part of teaching her the basics of charming people.
“Very good, you will need that one around court a lot.” Vincent said smugly.
“W-wait, I get to go to court?” Elizabeth excitedly asks.
“Calm down, tis not nearly as glamorous as you would think.” Vincent flatly responds. “If it was, I wouldn't only be a Chancellor… I’d be more!”
Elizabeth got worried as she saw rage building in his eyes
“It's no party!” Gritting his teeth, he looked at Elizabeth and her fearful expression and his look instantly shifted, “Tomorrow you must be fitted for your court garments, mostly dresses.” He said this with a small smirk. “After you can play dress up.”
This exchange bothered Elizabeth, was he making fun of her?
They rode back to the capitol in silence. She studied for many hours but in the end she drifted off to sleep and Vincent, though willing to continue working with her, saw no point in stressing her powers any further and allowed her to sleep.
Upon arrival he carried her to her bed, “You don't know it yet but you will be the most powerful witch this continent has ever seen.” He smiled as he tucked her in and left to go sleep himself.

After what seemed to be a near-extinction event in 1999 when an unknown entity attempted to manifest in the real world through technology, the world grew suddenly and violently technophobic. The United Nations imposed a global ban on technology, and with the introduction of magic into the world, it became the new norm for society. The only nation to oppose this mandate to remove all "Black Technology" from society was India, which left the United Nations and used the remaining technology in the world to develop a massive, country-sized airship to leave the terrestrial planet and live in the clouds above the Indian Ocean. This is the Independent Airborne State of Zepp.
Potemkin grew up in Zepp, and due to his extraordinary physical prowess, he was employed as one of Zepp's slave soldiers. Marked with a barcode, fitted with an explosive slave collar to discourage desertion, and used against enemies like a wild bull, Potemkin fought Zepp's foes and even joined the Second Holy Order Selection Tournament at Zepp's bidding so that he could win and wish for suitable territory for Zepp to expand back onto solid ground into. Secretly, though, Potemkin planned to also wish for freedom for his enslaved comrades.
Instead, however, Potemkin was lured into Testament's trap to resurrect Justice, the commander Gear and cause of the Crusades. After winning (this fight isn't canon, Sol beat Justice, but shhh), Potemkin is confronted by his sergeant, a man named Gabriel, who reveals to him that Potemkin can be the figurehead of Gabriel's revolution against the corrupt Zepp empire. With Potemkin's help, Gabriel topples the empire and forms the Neo Zepp Empire, a democratic nation of free men that strives to preserve old technology and pursue peaceful relations with the rest of the world. Potemkin stays on to serve as President Gabriel's elite guard, eager to see this new, noble Zepp thrive and prosper.

I-No's origin lies sometime during the hundred-year Crusades that brought humanity to the brink of extinction. During the war, the peoples' desire for a brighter tomorrow was focused on the Backyard (an alternate dimension comprised entirely of living information) and was so strong that it resulted in a single Magical Foci. Thus, the whole of creation was focused into a single organism. The Backyard interpreted this as an error that would destroy the world, and sealed that conscious away in a single human girl's body, placing within it all the irregularities. However, this was the Backyard's first mistake, as the resulting entity was all-powerful.
At some point The Original (later known as Happy Chaos) discovered the girl and realized that the world was being torn from its origin, and that, burdened with mankind's desires, she was on the verge of ascending to godhood. He reluctantly took away her human desire and with it half of her power, robbing her of her future to preserve that of humanity, leaving her with only her name.
The result was I-No, although she was completely unaware of her own nature. There are no other details regarding her past, but I-No—without knowing why, but fixated on changing the dull future that awaited humanity—took it upon herself to change their bleak future no matter what. At one point, I-No goes back in time to the Crusades and gets Ky killed, making humanity extinct; in another, she takes Sol back in time and makes him fight himself, trying to make him stop existing. Yet, no matter how many times she repeated history, the future always converged on a single point.

Complete I-No
When I-No was created as an error in the Backyard, she was dangerously close to ascending to godlike power, so The Original split her in half, taking her desires and her future from her. That Man eventually created two Jack-O' units; one Jack-O' Valentine, and the other Happy Chaos. Jack-O' explained to I-No that Happy Chaos could make I-No whole again, but unbeknownst to her, That Man never actually finished Happy Chaos. All the same, the Original heard this name and liked it so much that he decided to take it as his own. Now Happy Chaos, he was absorbed into Ariels and found by I-No after Ariels' defeat and imprisonment at the hands of Sol Badguy and the kingdom of Illyria.
After the siege of the G4 summit in Guilty Gear -STRIVE-, Happy Chaos got ahold of the Tome of Origin, which would give him the knowledge necessary to fuse with I-No. The result was returning to I-No her other half, and granting her the godlike power that she had been denied upon her conception.

At the very beginning of the Crusades between mankind and the Gears, the nation of Japan was destroyed by the commander Gear, Justice, and those of Japanese descent—amongst whom were Baiken and her parents—were placed in colonies for their protection. However, while she was still a child, Gears raided the institution she was living in. Small and weak, Baiken could do nothing to stop the attack, and could only watch the chaos around her. During the raid, she lost her arm and eye, and witnessed the horrible deaths of her parents, who gave their lives to protect her, as well as her friends.
The massacre was the work of the Gears, but what was etched into Baiken's memory was the image of a man surrounded by dancing flames and his creations. She became acutely aware, even in the absence of evidence, that he was an enemy. With an unfading memory of the event, Baiken vowed to search for the true identity of That Man and exact her revenge.
After years of wandering and searching (sometimes with her close friend Anji Mito), Baiken found I-No and pursued her in the hopes that she'd lead Baiken to her target. It worked; Baiken found That Man and attempted to exact her revenge. Despite her continuous attacks, Baiken was unable to harm him; when she stopped trying to attack him, he simply apologized to her and prayed that someday, when his life finally ends, her anger will fade. All Baiken took from meeting That Man was confusion and distress, which made her question herself: Should she seek revenge, or look for a new way of life?
She didn't come to a decision until she met Delilah, the sister of Bedman. Furious with Happy Chaos for putting the pieces in motion that led to her brother's death (similarly to how he set That Man on the path that led to the death of Baiken's parents), Delilah heard Chaos was in America and was dead-set on finding him and killing him. When she asked Anji for help, he sent Delilah to Baiken in the hopes she could help. While their relationship was initially frosty, Baiken saw herself in Delilah, and saw her path of revenge leading only to ruin and death. In helping Delilah, Baiken saw the flaws in her own path, and they agreed to give up their goals of revenge together.

• Tatami Gaeshi - Baiken stomps her foot to kick up a tatami mat. While not very flashy, this is one of her core abilities.
• Youzansen - Baiken whirls a number of hooked blades from her sleeve in a wide circle.
• Azami - Baiken parries the next few blows to strike her. This has a number of powerful followups.
• Suzuran - Baiken dashes forward suddenly. This move allows Baiken to access Azami followups without parrying anything.
• Hiiragi - This version of the parry simply has a judo-like throw after a successful block.
• Kabari - Baiken throws out a grappling claw, which she can follow up with a quick slash. Alternately, Baiken can throw a rope to tether herself to an enemy to force close-quarters fighting. In previous games this move had a number of angles and follow-up attacks. Kamaitachi in the first Guilty Gear accomplishes something similar, but in a more limited fashion.
• Youshijin - Baiken sends her opponent into the air with a spade-shaped blade.

• Tsurane Sanzu-watashi - Baiken attacks the opponent with several deadly slashes. This is her most common Overdrive across each game.

Destiny:

When you speak about political groups, parties, pundits in a country, you're usually talking about it with respect to that country's politics. Half my fuckin' fan-base is raging out that I described the Daily Wire as a kinda center-right publication in the grand totality of US politics. That's the impression I have of the Daily Wire, and then everybody goes: [strawman voice] "Well, actually compared to socialism and communism they're actually far-right, they're the furthest right ever."

Looks around. Is this arlatestagecapitalism? Who here was comparing the Daily Wire to socialism/communism to assess where they lie on the political spectrum? Every time someone does a subreddit poll, most people describe themselves as center-left/soc-dem [1] [2] [3]. There isn't a significantly large contingent of socialists on this subreddit that might be so far to the left that they're unable to distinguish between different types of conservatism.
The discussions on the matter were mostly based on people assessing the Daily Wire's political beliefs and policies [4] [5] [6] [7]. Some even pointed to the analyses by various organizations who generally placed the Daily Wire more strongly right-wing than simply "center-right" [deleted links to allsides, adfontesmedia, mediabiasfactcheck, and biasly; reddit is weird]. These analyses obviously don't objectively settle the matter and they're not flawless (I certainly have my disagreements), but let's not pretend that the subreddit discussion was yet another umpteenth case of progressives losing their mind and calling anyone slightly to the right of them a fascist. There were better arguments made in the threads, and Destiny's characterization of them is, err, inaccurate let's say.
And it's also worth clearing up some confusion as well between two different claims: (1) that the Daily Wire is center-right based solely in terms of the American media landscape; and (2) that the Daily Wire is center-right based on analyzing their political beliefs and policies. Some of the threads didn't make it clear that Destiny was making the first statement, which has better justifications for it compared to the second. You can see this confusion play out here, as Destiny assumes I'm critiquing the first statement, when I'm actually engaging in a more general fashion with the second statement.
Anyways, I'll be honest, it's just annoying seeing folk in chat react to Destiny's characterization of the discussion here when it doesn't seem to be an accurate assessment.

Throwaway account just because. So, I'm looking to get some opinions on this, and I feel like I can't rely on my friends anymore since I feel talking about my relationship with them only makes me feel less confortable in future situations where she and them might be together.
I (24M) have been with my GF (23F) for 7 years now and we're the only relationship we've ever had (with a remark, but we'll get there). And I'm not really sure how to structure this post, so I'll do my best to go straight to the point.
My GF is not very sociable, but wants to be. She is also very insecure about her self-worth. This has always been the case, and I've done my best to make her feel good about herself and motivate her to make friends. On the other hand, I consider myself sociable, I have a group of friends that has accompanied me since HS and in pretty much every situation in my life I've been able to make friends.
Now the remark, a couple of years ago, on a transition in Uni, my GF left me because she got what I could simply call the "Grass is greener" effect. She got with a new group of friends that were very outgoing, and decided she wanted to leave the relationship to see what's out there. I did no contact for close to 3 months, with her contacting me every other week, untill she decided she wanted to get back with me. It's important to note that she apparently had a fling with another guy during this time. I was still recovering and the ego boost of her coming back to me made me want to give it another shot and we did, this was like 3 years ago
Her participation in the relationship is what I would call a rollercoaster, sometimes she seems to live for me, showering me with love. But then, she is also very reluctant to stay with me for the rest of her life, saying she fears she'll end up missing out on experiences by staying with me, this type of sentiment came to a head a couple of months back when she once again wanted to break up with me because she started talking with a new friend that seemed to have had many such experiences in her life.
Another thing about our relationship is that it is very isolated, when we are together, it's mostly ourselves, she doesn't really like to hang out with my friends and she consistently has problems with some minor things my family does, making me feel very stressed in situations like my birthday for example. I should point that she is starting to try and change her behaviour when it comes to this, but still I can't help but feel stressed.
Now. Why am I thinking of leaving the relationship? 1 year ago, she decided to change uni courses, and unfortunately the only possibility was on another city (like 4 hours away). I of course motivated her to go to follow her dreams despite the distance. And throughout this year, unfortunatelly she didn't really make many friends, depending on me to sometimes go there to spend time with her. This was hard because I was still studying and didn't really have the money to continuously go there, so she started to motivate me to get a job and possibly move there with her. This created a big argument, since I didn't really want to move there and wanted to focus on completing my uni course. But I ended up applying to jobs. And got one that payed well and would let me work remotely if I wanted. This was great, because I could spend more time there and not worry about money, but I still wanted to spend time here with my family and friends.
Enter the job. This was like 4 months ago now. On the first day, I thankfully made some connections with the people that were starting on the same day as me. And this started a chain of events that made my GF extremelly controlling and jealous. Since the first day, she told me she didn't want me to be friends with girls, to go have a beer after work with my colleagues or go to out of office meet-ups with them (be it activities or going out). And I thought it was a bit unfair of her to control me this way, so I wanted to find a middle ground. But she wouldn't budge, calling me crying and saying that she didn't feel confortable that I was meeting other people while she was away. But the simple fact of going to the office in these first formation weeks were enough to make her come to me and we had a big fight. Throughout the 1st weeks I started declining every activity with them because I didn't want to upset her, because she seemed to really be suffering with this. Then an idea of a dinner and night out to celebrate our first salary appeared, and I really wanted to go because mostly everyone was going and I didn't want to be left out and I was already declining so many things. So I told her like 2 weeks ahead about the plan to make sure she would be fine, I told her I would stay in contact all the time, I told her I wouldn't go to clubs, I told her I wouldn't get drunk, and she agreed reluctantly that I could go. So I went, and that was an awfull night, she blew my phone with messages and calls, saying she was having a severe panic attack and crying and saying I was shit for going knowing she would be like this. During that night I did everything I promissed and was the first to go back home. A couple of days afterward, she had a uni party, went with a friend and a couple of her friend friends, and ended up going to the club and getting drunk. I pointed to her the hipocrisy of the situation and she said she did it to spite me because of my night out.
This was now 2 months ago. And since then like 2/3 of my time with her working remotely, I should also note that I always made sure to tell her how much I loved her and how certain I was of wanting to be in a relationship with her and not looking to further things with other people. And throughout this time, she would get mad at me for receiving group messages, instagram follows (even stalking my followers to check who was new), snooping through my phone and well, just not at all letting go of me meeting new people. We've had numerous discussions throughout this time (once she got physically agressive with me and I shouted at her), I went again one time to a bar quizz with them and she decided she would go a new colleague's house hangout (where there were substances), and once again I pointed to her the hipocrisy of the situation. And so I passed on pretty much every single hangout with these people, because every single time her response would be the same. She talked with her friends and familiars about this, and pretty much everyone made her see she was being very controlling and jealous, so she promissed to change how she acted, and we made peace for a couple of weeks. Untill this last weekend.
I decided to test the waters and after being with her for 2 weeks straight, I decided to go for a beer, she got mad at me for that. I got extremelly mad at her and she apologized to me the day after. In that same day, I got an invitation to hangout on a pub and disco, and I wanted to go (to the pub part, where I can socialize), I spent the whole day making sure she was alright with me going, and guess what, barrage of messages, phone calls and such, calling me all sorts of names and once again saying I should put her first than these people.
And this leads to the now, it's been 4 months of this behaviour, I don't know how I can take it. My friends say I should break up with her and get out of this toxic environment, my family says this isn't good for me also. But today she once again called me with an heartfelt apology about her behaviour, pretty much validating everything, saying she was being extremelly toxic and that she would change. And I'm not sure I should give her another opportunity. I don't know even if I want to. I find myself not being able to leave the relationship regardless, the distance doesn't help also. I also have this fear of the unknown, since the last 7 years of my life have been spent with her (remark notwithstanding).
And reading this, it's easy to say "leave her", but I guess I wouldn't be here if the relationship didn't have its good times. And it does of course, and I have many good memories with this person, great conversations, great trips and just great comradery. But the isolation factor of the relationship, the control, the jealousy and the overall stress I feel is making me think about leaving my long-term relationship.
I'm not sure if I want to vent, or if I want to get advice, but well here it is... Do you think I should leave the relationship, or give my gf it another chance?

Hello people of Reddit. I am a female currently 15 years of age but this happened at 13, I told my mum at 14.
I have been scared to admit this for a long time, I’m scared of causing stress for others I know and I don’t want other people to suffer because of how I feel. Anyways let’s start the story (by the way I’ll be using fake names).
When I was 13 I did and still do know a boy called Justin. At some point in school we had to come wearing PE kits due to not being able to go into the changing rooms (this was around Covid and we were all back in school for me). So if you had PE on the day you would have to come wearing PE kit. When this took place Justin was 14 and as I said I was 13. Me and him are in the same friend group, nothing more nothing less. During school at around 12:30 so halfway through lunch, I was talking to a person I was friends with outside of the friend group. Justin came from behind me and put his head on my shoulder, I didn’t mind and just carried on talking. When he left a few minutes later my friend told me she caught him looking down my shirt. Which is actually quite revealing for a PE shirt. I was definitely terrified and I think I made it obvious. When ever he walked by me or in the same direction as me I would change where I was walking or would just straight up walk away. I don’t know if Justin noticed or not since I wouldn’t let him talk to me, avoiding him for the rest of the day and rushing out of school at the end of the day. For years I was and still am scared. I’ve been wondering if I should even post this for a few weeks. Finally a year later I told my mum. Her answer disgusted me. My mum still has an old mindset and is definitely immature for her age (she’s in her mid 40’s). She said that he was “just messing about” and “boys will be boys”. I was upset and p***** off at her for a long time. She kept saying I was being too childish about it and to just forget it. I will admit I cried a few times in private. I’m still distant with my mum, I do obviously have to talk to her since I live in the same house. My sister knows about all of this and called Justin disgusting and a awful person. She still continues to support me today, knowing damn well this situation impacted my mental health. I’m still scared and he does glance at me everyone in a while. It’s even worse now that he sits next to me in one of my lessons. To sum it up, I’m scared.

Project F Early Development Gameplay

Project F is a research in-development game that will be produced by Riot Games, Inc. The upcoming ARPG is expected to be a PvE action RPG. In other words, a player vs environment action roleplaying game. It appears to be a cooperative action game based in Runeterra, where players can team up against monsters using champions from League of Legends. Project F is isometric, stylized and casual. It seems Project F has been in development for some time. If you’re looking forward to playing it soon and learning more, then read on.

Riot Project F Announced

Interestingly, Project F was never officially announced. We had our first glimpse of Project F during League of Legends’ 10-Year Anniversary Celebration live stream.

Beginning at the 32-minute 38-second mark there were a few sequences of Project F gameplay. Granted, it was early development footage of Riot’s Project F. It is important to note, Riot Games intentionally previewed Project F. Project F was not a leak. In fact, Project F has been under wraps for the most part since that very day.

What is Riot Project F?

Project F is an upcoming ARPG set in the world of League of Legends. Actually, set in Runeterra to be more precise. It is a cooperative action game where players control the champions from League of Legends. You will traverse through Runeterra and defeat enemies along your way. Players will get to use iconic and familiar champion abilities that have been established through League of Legends gameplay as well as new abilities too.

Project F Landscape

There will be varying levels of inclination throughout your adventures. Given Project F is an isometric game, the sense of height and depth will be an important design element if Riot wants to make this game a successful as possible. So, throughout your adventures you will have to descend higher terrain on occasion.
You can expect to see familiar landscapes that share a similar art style as League of Legends’. As with many isometric games, such as Lost Ark, Diablo, Path of Exile, etc., the background will contain interesting landscapes while the foreground will feature rich and detailed visuals.
Overall, it appears the art design will showoff bright and beautiful colors. Expect to see the following decorative elements; colorful trees, plants, flowers, roots, large stones plus a variety of terrains. While we aren’t sure yet, it appears players cannot fall off the map.
One feature we find to be a nice touch is the dust from the ground that rises as players jump from heights.

Project F Game FeaturesPing System

It looks as though Project F might feature a ping system. Presumably players can ping locations on the field. Once a location is pinged, a red floating inverted cone will remain at the desired location for a time. Coordinated players can use pings to set focus areas, destinations, and other communicative commands. It could also be that Blitzcrank’s melee abilities inadvertently marks the ground for some unknown reason. Again, we saw early development footage. We expect most of the features to not be fully implemented.

Jumping Over Ledges

Another feature that Project F appears to include is jumping over ledges when traversing through corners of map without terrain. For example, when Ezreal walks forward, there is no terrain under him just a few steps ahead. Just before the ledge, Ezreal leaps over the cliff edge and lands on the other side. It’s unclear whether this will be a player command or our characters will jump over edges by themselves.

Cast Indicators

Project F takes a feature from it’s inspiration League of Legends. Ranged characters will have casting with indicators. It’s not known if the indicators can be turned off or not. Casting indicators are a useful feature. The indicator serves as a projection guide. Players can line up the indicator with their target for improved accuracy.

Friendly Fire

Friendly fire was a feature in the early development build. When a player is in a casting state, it means they are about to use an ability. At this point a cast indicator is visible. Likely only visible to the player casting, if it’s anything like the League of Legends feature. Now, when the player’s indicator intersects with a cooperative teammate, the color of the indicator turns red.
While the friendly fire colored cast indicator is insightful, it brings up more questions than answers. First, maybe it’s possible there are various difficulties in which you can damage your teammates. Second, allies could very well block teammates skill shots, hence the red indicator. Another possibility is while hovered over an ally, you cannot cast your skill shot. All of this is speculative of course. We will provide updates as they come.

Equal Base Movement Speed

From looking at the Project F short clip, we can see each player has the same base move speed. Keep in mind, equal base movement speed may not be the case at launch. Furthermore, it’s possible gear can be equipped and stats or talents can be acquired that affect the champions movement speed. Nonetheless, an equal base movement speed does reinforce the casual nature of Project F.

In that same screenshot, the giant Static Shiv appear to emanate a yellow aura outwards up to under the attacking champions’ feet. The yellow aura looks incredibly similar to the slow effect from League of Legends.

Checkpoints

On the same map where we have Blitzcrank, Lux, and Ezreal fighting, all three champions can be seen fooling around a campfire. There are no enemies present. Furthermore, they appear to be at a dead end with only one direction to go….into the forest. In the meantime, the players are running around and using abilities around this empty campfire area. Perhaps this starting area can serve as a communication hub amongst teammates before they begin their quest or journey. Alternatively, these checkpoints could be scattered throughout zones in order to let players rest, change armor, tools, loadouts, or reestablish their strategy.

Champions in Riot’s Project F

We know of at least three playable champions in Project F. The following champions include, Blitzcrank, Lux, and Ezreal. Below includes a brief overview of the mentioned champions for those unfamiliar with the League of Legends champion roster.

Blitzcrank

Blitzcrank is a support-style tank. In the world of Runeterra, he a a mechanical golem dedicated to protecting Zaun from harm and supporting its citizens.
In League of Legends, he uses powerful lightning infused mechanical forces to subdue, retract, and stun foes for his allies. Meanwhile, he soaks up and blocks damage effectively for his teammates.

Lux

Lux is a support-style mage. In Runeterra, Lux is an aristocrat from Demacia with the ability to manipulate light. Unfortunately, Demacia prejudice against mages.
While playing League of Legends, Lux possessing offensive and defensive magical abilities that can stun and damage enemies and shield allies.

Ezreal

Ezreal ranged damage dealer. According to the lore, Ezreal was born by wealthy Piltovan archeologists. Ezreal now explores foreign lands and uses his powerful yet mysterious Shuriman gauntlet to defeat his adversaries.
Gameplay wise, Ezreal is a ranged short-ranged damage with good mobility including short teleports.

In the snippet, we saw several champion abilities adapted from League of Legends. At the same time, there were a number of innovative abilities that fit with the theme of the respective champions. It’s worth mentioning the champion auto attacks have a low cooldown.

• Final Spark: In Project F, Lux possesses what is known as her Ultimate ability, Final Spark, in League of Legends. Lux projects a narrow beam over an incredible distance, dealing dealing high damage to all enemies.

Possible Champions in Riot Project F

During the League of Legends 10-Year Anniversary stream, a developer had a reference page on his second monitor. It appeared to be two League of Legends champions outside of the traditional League game environment. In fact, is looked like a rudimentary Project F environment based on the ground particles seen in the anniversary video. Although, the screenshot of Varus and Ashe were assets from Wild Rift along with Wild Rift user interface. In the frame, you could see Varus and Ashe attacking a large massive image of the League item Static Shiv. Presumably the image of static shiv was a placeholder image for a boss.
Moreover, there was a clip in the video where Lulu was being designed for Project F in Unreal Engine. This Lulu was distinguished from the Lulu in League of Legends. Therefore, it’s safe to conclude, Lulu was at the least being designed in the early development stage.
Therefore, it is possible Varus and Ashe could be in Project F.

Lulu is a yordle from Bandle City. Specifically she is fae sorceress. While wandering in Runeterra she befriended a fairy named Pix. We she delighter to find many of her newfound abilities remained while back in Bandle City.
During gameplay, Lulu is a ranged support champion. He has a lot of crowd control and can provide her allies with buffs such as shields, increased health and movement speed.

Possible Champion: Ashe

Ashe is an Iceborn Warmother. She is from an inhospitable norther region called the Freljord. She leads the Avarosans, which is one of the three major tribes of the Freljord.
In League of Legends, is a ranged damage dealer, known as an ADC (attack damage carry). Ashe also features support features in her kit, such as slows, and revealing fog of war for the team.

Possible Champion: Varus

Varus used to be a magically ascended hunter from Shurima ages ago. After the loss of their king, his kind had succumb to insanity and blood magic, becoming Darkin and wreaking havoc on Runeterra. The Darkin were imprisoned in their weapons by the Aspects. Accordingly, Varus in his bow. Two Ionian men relinquished Varus. Now Varus consists of a Darkin and two men who resist his every more.
Varus is an ADC, with a mix of attack and magical damage.

Classes in Project F

Several League of Legends champions will be designed in Project F. We also know Project F is an action roleplaying game with a cooperative option. With the brief gameplay in mind, each champion will be unique. As a result, Project F could implement at the very least a basic class system. This is an role-playing game after all.
For example, Blitzcrank make possess tankier stats such as increased health, resistances, and mitigative abilities.
Next, there could be support classes and mage support classes. If League of Legends is to be reimagined, Lux would fall into the mage-support class type. Also, Lulu would belong to the support-mage class type.
Another class would be ranged damage dealers. Naturally, Ezreal and Varus would belong to this category.
We’ve yet to see a brawler, or physical fighting class type. Would would an Action RPG be without one. It would be interesting to see champions such as Darius, Garen, Tryndamere, Olaf and others of the like fit this role.
It’s possible Assassins could be a class in Project F. We have a ton of them in League already. Assassins champions that come to mind include, Nocturne, Evelyn, Talon, and Fizz.

Who is Working on Project F?

We currently know of one Riot employees working on Project F.

Kate Chironis

We believe Kate Chironis is the design director for Riot Games’ Project F, the upcoming ARPG. If so, then she started the early development of Project F when there were only three designers. Here’s what Kate had to say.

I helped bootstrap a new game as one of three early designers on the project. I focused on core game loop, player systems, the fundamental building blocks of enemies/encounters/AI, and helping establish the initial vision for several different types of content in the game. It’s likely the quote from Kate refers to Project F because in the League Anniversary from October 2019, we can see Kate working on Project F.

Riot Project F Release Date

We’re not sure when Riot Project F will release. Even Kate Chironis, a likely Project F employee said she’s unsure of the release date.

Nonetheless, we can speculate the game have a trailer, gameplay or other public media in late 2024. Remember, Project F likely began around pre-development in May 2022. This is based on Kate’s start date at Riot Games from her LinkedIn experience. In the experience description she describes work that lines up with Project F. Furthermore, 17 months later, Riot showed an early development of Project F where Kate was actively iterating.

Summary

Let’s summarize what we know about Riot Project F, the in-development ARPG. Project F appears to be non-canon. We saw three unrelated champions fighting alongside each other. Specifically, Ezreal, Blitzcrank, and Lux generally do not interact in canon lore. Ezreal is from Piltover, explores Shurima. Lux is from Demacia, and Blitzcrank is bound to Zaun as far as we know. To have all three of them fighting alongside a common enemy defies canon lore.
Also, Project F looks to be a casual friendly game. We believe it would make a great party/couch game. It wouldn’t be a surprise if this game became available for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC. Project F does not appear to be graphically intensive. It comes off as a nice coop couch game you’d play on the weekends with friends.
Project F will be created in Unreal Engine. We’re unsure whether it’s Unreal Engine 5 or 4. We can expect to play as several champions such as, Blitzcrank, Lux, Ezreal, Lulu and likely more.

Bf (31m) keeps being up poly relationship, For context, his ex wife of 5 years, they have 3 kids together, left him for a poly relationship. Me (26f)
I keep telling him to not expect a poly relationship from me because that not want I want and it makes me uncomfortable him bring it up. He says it’s just a fantasy. I tell him if that’s what he wants then we can end because I can’t give that to him. He says he wants me, But still brings it up. I told him if he brings it up anymore I will just stop listening, hang up the phone, or walk away. Because it’s personally affecting my mental health whenever he brings it up.
I want a man to only desire me, and he says It’s just for fun and something different.
I don’t know what to do about the poly situation.
I’m bi-curious. I’m attracted to woman but not sexually. He says I’m denying that I want to be with a woman and it be fun for both. But I’ve expressed that in my past I’ve had repeated issues, with friends, where I was always not good enough, thrown to the side. If there 3 of us I’m always the one being left out.

This only a fraction of our relationship, He does listen to my concerns, Tries to do better, and does. So I know he ain’t a bad guy. But I’ve always expressed my feelings. Communicate how I feel as if I don’t, I shut down and go quiet for a long time.
I just want to know y’all’s opinions on the situation that’s all So if I know if I’m in the wrong over thinking things or if my feelings and gut is right. Or what’s going on in general. Just people’s thoughts of the situation

Over 30 years ago myself and two others were involved in a police stop/ profiling in Columbia, MD that resulted in property destruction, bodily injury, and public embarrassment. The stop was intense! There was a swat team, police dogs, helicopter... a bit of excessive force ... This happened in front of the apartment where we lived, as we were pulling out of the parking spot. We were handcuffed, brutalized. At least 15- 20 guns pointing at us. They released the dogs, almost everything in the van was destroyed. I was 17 or 18.
After they concluded their search, the commanding officer admitted they had made a mistake and acknowledged the destruction. Turned out that a shooting happened an hour prior in a nearby apartment complex. The suspect was black and driving a American made brown station wagon . Though we are black, we had a gold Toyota van.
Anyways he gave us his card in anticipation... The incident was reported the now defunct Columbia flier, the local news paper. We started receiving solicitations from a few local law firms expressed interests in representing us.
At any rate, we retained an attorney. Young guy. He accepted the case with enthusiasm. We met several times at his office. One such meeting was what I believe is a deposition. Soon after that, he informed us that the department did not want to go to trial and that an offer was pending. That was he last formal communique we received from him. Months passed we did not hear from our him. He was not answering his calls. I went to his office to no avail. He had moved. No notice from him. Years went by before I was able to locate him. So I went by there, to no avail. But this time there was a secretary and a very nice office. I called sometime later, the secretary told me she was not familiar with the case and had no record of it. But I could sense they had discussed it since my last visit. To this day this bothers me. Such an injustice. I never received anything. Not a letter or a phone call. As far I am concerned, this is still an open case with respect to his representation. I want to know to find out if this case was ever settled. But even if it turns out the case was not settled, what responsibility does he bare at this point? Where should I start to get to the bottom of this? And what recourse do I have given the length of time...?

Skeeter was fed up. It wasn't that he disliked communal dining, in fact he rather enjoyed meeting the other passengers who sign onto this direct route between cradle worlds. Nor was he dissatisfied with quality of the available dining, although to his taste, it could do with more garlic and more cayenne, but apparently both plants are unsafe to a good chunk of the other passengers. The Star Sailors could handle them just fine, but the Jaceu for example experience severe indigestion from mere cross-contamination. That, however, was beside the point. The problem wasn't so easily born as the xenos inability to make a proper hot sauce. No, he had a particular problem with a particular individual. Jerry had mouthed off, again, about the Republic and called the limited franchise a "fascistic relic of a bygone age kept alive by irrational paranoia about the nature of the galaxy," To which Skeeter had said, "Tell that to Auerstedt."
This lead quickly to a shouting match in the middle of the dining room where Jerry demanded an apology for Skeeter's use of the victims of the grubs, some of whom were his relatives. To which Skeeter had shouted that he was there, and some "lily-livered CIPpy cup with his nose so far up in the air he doesn't notice the blood he's slogging through" could take his opinion of service do something anatomically improbable with it. The episode very quickly descended to a surprisingly creative exchange of profanity and very nearly came to blows. Skeeter just couldn't understand why Jerry couldn't be in his presence for longer than five seconds without saying something astoundingly stupid about The Republic, the non-interference policy, Republican standards for applicant planets, or the earned franchise, and then immediately becoming belligerent when his assertions were challenged.
The most infuriating thing, to Skeeter anyway, was that Jerry was more than capable of being civil with anybody else, and had befriended both Suzie and Ivan, both of whom were at a complete loss as to why Jerry was such an unrelenting jerk to Skeeter himself. Even Skeeter had wished that he could make friends with Jerry, and it wouldn't have been the first time he'd befriended a CIPer. No more, Skeeter thought to himself as he marched his way to the captain's office, I can't handle his shit anymore.
By the time he'd made it to the door, he'd cooled off enough to not simply demand that he be allowed to put Jerry through the nearest airlock, and his fury had abated to a mere simmering rage. It was with therefore with some level of difficulty he managed to knock with a normal, or at least appropriate, level of force. "Enter," came Vexkeed's voice from within.
"Vex, I'm losing my damn mind," Skeeter said as he entered and took a seat in the oversized chair across from his friend.
"I have heard that you and Jerry had an argument."
"That's putting it politely. We hollered cusses at each other."
"If you're asking me to eject Jerry at the next stop, I'm afraid we would need his cooperation for such."
"Naw, right now I wanna strangle the prick, but that's just me bein' mad. I just want permission to modify my cabin. I don't know what the fuck his problem with me is, but it's just me he can't seem to be civil with, and I have a bit of a temper..."
"From my perspective, he has impugned you honor in such a way that a duel would be considered justified under our customs. We would simply need to find the nearest Magistrate to officiate it. I commend your restraint."
"Duels can't be undone," Skeeter said as the acknowledgement of his position cooled his anger further. "Even if it was just first blood was the terms, accidents happen. I don't want him dead for being a jackass, I just want to go two weeks without getting into a fight."
"I see. What is your proposed solution?"
"I want to modify our quarters, at my own expense, and I'll put everything back the way it was, but I want a kitchen I can use. I'll just cook for myself and take my meals in private. Jerry should be capable of not starting something when we just pass each other in the corridors."
Vexkeed flinched at the suggestion, his upper shoulders slumped, and his face took on a stricken caste as he said, "It is not well for you to confine yourself so."
"What'is not well is us fightin' and disturbin' all of the other passengers."
"The We Bring Friends from Afar to Joyous Meeting should have some quarters for heavyworlders in the first place. Our peoples are quickly becoming entwined with how quickly the Republic welcomed our ships and fleets into her borders. I expect upon returning to Better Texas, I shall have more Sneakies to take aboard."
"I still can't believe that caught on."
"When a meme sticks, it sticks," Vexkeed said with a placating gesture, "Please submit a design of a remodel with engineering, and we shall have your quarters more comfortable furnished within the day."
"Aye sir, thank you."
"I will speak to my wife about hosting you for dinner soon. I do not think it will be well to isolate you from social interactions."
Skeeter suppressed his urge to tell the captain that he needn't trouble himself, and excused himself to start redesigning the quarters he and his party occupied for Terran comfort.
Meanwhile, in said quarters, Kip paced nervously in the living room area while Ivan and Suzie lounged on the oversized sofa, at complete ease with the situation. Kip gave a glance to the unopened bulkhead again and muttered, "What if... they get in a real fight..."
"They won't," Suzie said without looking up from the discussion in the comments she was reading. It seemed that there was a lot of interest in Ixiand's nature walks as well as speculation over whether they'd allow rock climbing on some of the more interesting formations.
"Skeeter's whole face was bright red!" Kip exclaimed as he made another circuit of the space, "Jerry's too! I could smell their anger..."
"As could I," Ivan grunted as he watched the boy's frantic activity, "But even if Skeeter's temper gets the better of his mouth, he does not get violent from words."
"It looked a lot like Jerry might though..."
Suzie's eyes flicked up for a moment, "Naw, well, maybe. But Skeeter'd be okay in a fight."
"But I saw Jerry and Ivan practice fight..."
"Jerry is very good at that martial art, and so am I, and so is Skeeter. In a real fight like you're worried about though, Skeeter would not be so gentle as I am when it is sparring. Skeeter would win, and Jerry would be the one to worry about." Ivan explained.
Rather than reassure Kip it set him down a different path, "I don't think Skeeter would be happy about hurting Jerry. Just because they don't get along wouldn't mean that he'd get riptide pulled into hatred... I hope not..."
"Kip, you're frettin' a lot for somethin' that isn't that big a deal. People can just rub one another the wrong way sometimes."
"Even if they were to have a fight where Jerry is hurt, there is a good infirmary aboard. I am getting frustrated with Jerry over this. Besides, you should not be staying up late much longer. Do you not have an exam in the morning?"
Kip sat down on the floor and glared at nothing in particular as he muttered, "I had hoped there wouldn't be a school in space!"
"The Joyous Meeting is the home for the crew and their children. Did you really think that they wouldn't have at least one teacher aboard?"
"No... I did hope that my mom wouldn't talk to him though!"
Kip scowled at the snickering of his hosts, and didn't even notice the bulkhead opening. "Bed," Skeeter ordered as it closed behind him.
"Is everything..."
"It's fine, kid. Jerry and I don't get along, I have a temper and he can't stop picking a fight, and that's that. We won't be friends and it's okay. I'll just have to avoid the dining hall from now on, and our quarters is getting a remodel so I can cook."
"Wait, Suzie doesn't cook?"
"I bake," she said primly, "completely different."
Meanwhile Juno was glaring at Jerry in his quarters, her hands were on her hips, her tail was absently lashing the deck, and her voice lacked her usually purring quality as she asked, "Are you pleased with yourself? Are the things you said about servicemen vindicated?"
Jerry withered under her gaze and he muttered, "No."
"What exactly did you hope to accomplish?"
"I don't know... I'm such an idiot..."
"I won't argue with that, Jerry."
"I'm sorry..."
"Apologize to Skeeter, not me."
"I will, but I'm sorry for ruining your dinner."
A frustrated yowling escaped her throat as she said, "All you had to do was not accuse a REPUBLICAN NAVAL SERVICEMAN of standing on the corpses of grub victims! You KNOW what they went through to stop the grubs! You AGREE with what they did to stop them!"
Jerry's last vestiges of dignity left him as he snapped, "I just can't stand the man! I have no reason, I have no right, and I'm a complete ponce for it, but I can't stand the smug bastard!"
"Smug?"
"Handsome, successful, fucking covered in medals, married to a wonderful woman! How can a man be so damn happy? I can't stand it, and I know it's irrational! I wish I wasn't like this. I feel like a crab in a bucket trying to drag the man into misery with me."
"You wouldn't be miserable if you weren't so insistent on fighting with him."
"I know, Juno. I never said this wasn't all my fault..."
"If this whole mess stems from base jealousy, maybe you should just tell the man so."
"I think he's given up on me. Serves me right."

My Fellow Citizens,
I stand before you honoured to assume the sacred mandate you have given me. My love for this nation is abiding. My confidence in its people, unwavering. And my faith in God Almighty, absolute. I know that His hand shall provide the needed moral strength and clarity of purpose in those instances when we seem to have reached the limits of our human capacity.
This day is bold and majestic yet bright and full of spirit, as is our precious nation.
As a nation, we have long ago decided to march beyond the dimness of night into the open day of renewed national hope.
The question we now ask ourselves is whether to remain faithful to the work inherent in building a better society or retreat into the shadows of our unmet potential.
For me, there is but one answer. We are too great a nation and too grounded as a people to rob ourselves of our finest destiny.
This nation’s journey has been shaped by the prayers of millions, and the collective sacrifices of us all.
We have endured hardships that would have made other societies crumble.
Yet, we have shouldered the heavy burden to arrive at this SUBLIME moment where the prospect of a better future merges with our improved capacity to create that future.
To the surprise of many but not to ourselves, we have more firmly established this land as a democracy in both word and deed.
The peaceful transition from one government to another is now our political tradition. This handover symbolizes our trust in God, our enduring faith in representative governance and our belief in our ability to reshape this nation into the society it was always meant to be.
Here, permit me to say a few words to my predecessor, President Muhammadu Buhari. Mr President, you have been an honest, patriotic leader who has done his best for the nation you love. On a more personal note, you are a worthy partner and friend. May History be kind to you.
For many years, Nigeria’s critics have trafficked the rumour that our nation will break apart, even perish.
Yet here we are. We have stumbled at times, but our resilience and diversity have kept us going.
Our burdens may make us bend at times, but they shall never break us.
Instead, we stand forth as Africa’s most populous nation and as the best hope and strongest champion of the Black Race.
As citizens, we declare as one unified people devoted to one unified national cause, that as long as this world exists, NIGERIA SHALL EXIST.
Today, Fate and Destiny join together to place the torch of human progress in our very hands. We dare not let it slip.
We lift high this torch so that it might shine on every household and in every heart that calls itself Nigerian. We hold this beam aloft because it lights our path with compassion, brotherhood, and peace. May this great light never EXTINGUISH.
Our administration shall govern on your behalf but never rule over you. We shall consult and dialogue but never dictate. We shall reach out to all but never put down a single person for holding views contrary to our own.
We are here to further mend and heal this nation, not tear and injure it.
In this vein, may I offer a few comments regarding the election that brought us to this juncture. It was a hard fought contest. And it was also fairly won. Since the advent of the Fourth Republic, Nigeria has not held an election of better quality.
The outcome reflected the will of the people. However, my victory does not render me any more Nigerian than my opponents. Nor does it render them any less patriotic.
They shall forever be my fellow compatriots. And I will treat them as such. They represent important constituencies and concerns that wisdom dare not ignore.
They have taken their concerns to court. Seeking legal redress is their right and I fully defend their exercise of this right. This is the essence of the rule of law.
Over six decades ago, our founding fathers gave bravely of themselves to place Nigeria on the map as an independent nation.
We must never allow the labor of those who came before us to wither in vain but to blossom and bring forth a better reality.
Let us take the next great step in the journey they began and believed in.
Today, let us recommit our very selves to placing Nigeria in our hearts as the indispensable home for each and every one of us regardless of creed, ethnicity, or place of birth.
My supporters, I thank you. To those who voted otherwise, I extend my hand across the political divide. I ask you to grasp it in national affinity and brotherhood. For me, political coloration has faded away. All I see are Nigerians.
May we uphold these fitting and excellent notions as the new Nigerian ideal.
My fellow compatriots,
The Nigerian ideal which I speak of is more than just an improvement in economic and other statistics. These things are important; but they can never convey the fullness of our story.
Our mission is to improve our way of life in a manner that nurtures our humanity, encourages compassion toward one another, and duly rewards our collective effort to resolve the social ills that seek to divide us.
Our constitution and laws give us a nation on paper. We must work harder at bringing these noble documents to life by strengthening the bonds of economic collaboration, social cohesion, and cultural understanding. Let us develop a shared sense of fairness and equity.
The South must not only seek good for itself but must understand that its interests are served when good comes to the North. The North must see the South likewise.
Whether from the winding creeks of the Niger Delta, the vastness of the northern savannah, the boardrooms of Lagos, the bustling capital of Abuja, or the busy markets of Onitsha, you are all my people. As your president, I shall serve with prejudice toward none but compassion and amity towards all.
In the coming days and weeks, my team will publicly detail key aspects of our programme. Today, permit me to outline in broad terms a few initiatives that define our concept of progressive good governance in furtherance of the Nigerian ideal:
The principles that will guide our administration are simple:

Nigeria will be impartially governed according to the constitution and the rule of law. We shall defend the nation from terror and all forms of criminality that threaten the peace and stability of our country and our subregion. We shall remodel our economy to bring about growth and development through job creation, food security and an end of extreme poverty. In our administration, Women and youth will feature prominently. Our government will continue to take proactive steps such as championing a credit culture to discourage corruption while strengthening the effectiveness and efficiency of the various anti-corruption agencies. 

SECURITY
Security shall be the top priority of our administration because neither prosperity nor justice can prevail amidst insecurity and violence.
To effectively tackle this menace, we shall reform both our security DOCTRINE and its ARCHITECTURE.
We shall invest more in our security personnel, and this means more than an increase in number. We shall provide, better training, equipment, pay and firepower.
THE ECONOMY
On the economy, we target a higher GDP growth and to significantly reduce unemployment.
We intend to accomplish this by taking the following steps:
First, budgetary reform stimulating the economy without engendering inflation will be instituted.
Second, industrial policy will utilize the full range of fiscal measures to promote domestic manufacturing and lessen import dependency.
Third, electricity will become more accessible and affordable to businesses and homes alike. Power generation should nearly double and transmission and distribution networks improved. We will encourage states to develop local sources as well.
I have a message for our investors, local and foreign: our government shall review all their complaints about multiple taxation and various anti-investment inhibitions.
We shall ensure that investors and foreign businesses repatriate their hard earned dividends and profits home.
JOBS
My administration must create meaningful opportunities for our youth. We shall honour our campaign commitment of one million new jobs in the digital economy.
Our government also shall work with the National Assembly to fashion an omnibus Jobs and Prosperity bill. This bill will give our administration the policy space to embark on labour-intensive infrastructural improvements, encourage light industry and provide improved social services for the poor, elderly and vulnerable.
Agriculture
Rural incomes shall be secured by commodity exchange boards guaranteeing minimal prices for certain crops and animal products. A nationwide programme for storage and other facilities to reduce spoilage and waste will be undertaken.
Agricultural hubs will be created throughout the nation to increase production and engage in value-added processing. The livestock sector will be introduced to best modern practices and steps taken to minimize the perennial conflict over land and water resources in this sector.
Through these actions, food shall be made more abundant yet less costly. Farmers shall earn more while the average Nigerian pays less.
INFRASTRUCTURE
We shall continue the efforts of the Buhari administration on infrastructure. Progress toward national networks of roads, rail and ports shall get priority attention.
FUEL SUBSIDY
We commend the decision of the outgoing administration in phasing out the petrol subsidy regime which has increasingly favoured the rich more than the poor. Subsidy can no longer justify its ever-increasing costs in the wake of drying resources. We shall instead re-channel the funds into better investment in public infrastructure, education, health care and jobs that will materially improve the lives of millions.
MONETARY POLICY
Monetary policy needs thorough housecleaning. The Central Bank must work towards a unified exchange rate. This will direct funds away from arbitrage into meaningful investment in the plant, equipment and jobs that power the real economy.
Interest rates need to be reduced to increase investment and consumer purchasing in ways that sustain the economy at a higher level.
Whatever merits it had in concept, the currency swap was too harshly applied by the CBN given the number of unbanked Nigerians. The policy shall be reviewed. In the meantime, my administration will treat both currencies as legal tender.
FOREIGN POLICY
Given the world in which we reside, please permit a few comments regarding foreign policy.
The crisis in Sudan and the turn from democracy by several nations in our immediate neighbourhood are of pressing concern.
As such, my primary foreign policy objective must be the peace and stability of the West African subregion and the African continent. We shall work with ECOWAS, the AU and willing partners in the international community to end extant conflicts and to resolve new ones.
As we contain threats to peace, we shall also retool our foreign policy to more actively lead the regional and continental quest for collective prosperity.
Conclusion
This is the proudest day of my life. But this day does not belong to me. It belongs to you, the people of Nigeria.
On this day, Nigeria affirms its rightful place among the world’s great democracies. There, Nigeria shall reside forever.
The course of our past and the promise of the future have brought us to this exceptional moment.
In this spirit, I ask you to join me in making Nigeria a more perfect nation and democracy such that the Nigerian ideal becomes and forever remains the Nigerian reality.
With full confidence in our ability, I declare that these things are within our proximate reach because my name is Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and I am the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Radio Bam #117
Bam Margera – Brandon ‘Heroin’ Novak – Chad I Ginsberg – Kevin Margera (Phil’s drug addict brother) – Ryan ‘ShitGoose’ Gee – Bill Bill aka youngunz (Kevin’s daughters boyfriend)
- Bam is taking a shit upstairs so Novak and Chad decide to start the show without him and tells the listeners He's making money while taking a shit.
- Bam skipped last week’s episode, so they played the rerun of Bam yelling at ShitGoose for being a shitty friend.
- Bam immediately calls out Novak for being noticeably high off what appears to be heroin again. He doesn't confirm or deny but claims Kevin smoked PCP earlier too.
- Kevin sounds like he is very under the influence, Bill Bill has already given Bam an Adderall to snort. He’s covered in piercings and tattoos.
- Kevin has an ongoing feud with his neighbors, which stemmed from parking too close to Kevin’s car and calling the police.
- Then in a separate event, the neighbor's nephew parked in the same spot that makes it difficult for Kevin to get his car out again.
- According to some of the neighbors, the car then backed up and hit a sign/post/pole busting out the taillight and then blamed it on Kevin as an angry neighbor getting even from the first failed police report. This one didn't go in Kevin’s favor either.
- Bam went to Buddy Bill’s second ever amateur boxing match in Wilmington Delaware at the Double Tree hotel. One of the other fighters coaches in a separate match started getting fired up on the side of the ring, enough to draw attention of the local authorities on site.
- The 2 police officers asked him to calm down, but he loudly voiced his disagreement to them staying it's his job to fire up his fighter and yell things at him. According to Bam, the police immediately tazed the coach.
- Which then caused the fans to attack the officers, which in turn resulted in more officers rushing the sidelines to disperse the angry crowd. In the end it caused a riot to happen before Buddy Bills match. Bam blames it all on the Wilmington Delaware police department for instigating the riot.
- There was a recent drug bust in Marcus Hook, Kevin’s hometown, Bam runs to grab the daily local to see how many of the mugshots he knows.
- Novak fell on his face during filming earlier, Bam again accuses Novak of doing heroin and checks the back of his phone to see if he hid his drugs where the battery of the phone is. Nothing's there.
- “You’re an awfully clumsy guy for someone who wants pain pills” Chad’s glorious one liner.
- Bam doesn't care if Novak does heroin, he's angry that his friend is lying to him. Chad and Bam begin to really grill Novak on if he is doing heroin again.
- Bam brings up a recent story on how he was supposed to have a ride from Baltimore to Westchester to film with Bam, but lied twice saying he couldn't find a ride. First with his friend Scott, the second with Mandy the on/off girlfriend.
ARTIC MONKEYS –
- Bam claims to have talked with Novak and Kevin of air and they both admitted to doing drugs today. Novak did in the bathroom of ‘Techa' bar.
- Bam is genuinely curious about what it feels like to do PCP, Kevin tried to explain it the best way he can using words. Why would people choose Downers over Uppers with drugs. Seems like Kevin does cocaine and possibly PCP too.
MARK ZAPPA – BROKEN HEARTS ARE FOR ASSHOLES
- Kevin claims he doesn't do PCP, he believes instead he is mentally ill and needs help. Bam and Novak claims he is fucked up on something but they can't figure out what.

This might end up being fairly long and if so I apologize in advance but I hope this ends up being as cathartic as I’m hoping.
Let’s start at the beginning. I wasn’t a good husband... hell I probably wasn't even a good person. I was selfish, inattentive to her needs, hid a painkiller addiction for many years and a copious amount of other issues. I wasn’t perfect though neither was she. We were happy though and together for a decade. I’ll preface this by saying that I’m the most non-jealous person in the world. I don’t care what you do with your friends, where you do it, and when as long as your honest. For example let’s say one of her friends invited her to go out of town or to do something for a weekend, it was like “hey are we doing anything this weekend? No? Okay I’m gonna go out of town with insert name here” and vice versa for me “hey are we doing anything this weekend? No? Okay I’m gonna go hunting with insert name here”. All that being said, again, not jealous AT ALL, but after the divorce and subsequent relationship I think my trust with SO coworkers is irreparably damaged.
His name was Joe, I heard through some of her other coworker friends he had a crush on my wife. Whatever, she got cheated on with her first love and couldn’t even watch movies or shows where someone cheats it would make her so angry. So I never thought twice about her going out with her coworkers. Now again, let me say I was not a good husband towards the end, and it took a long time and a lot of hurt and anger had to be let go to where I finally realized that I don’t fault her for finding solace in the arms of another, because she was a damn good wife, a damn good mother, and an even better husband. And she deserved better. I relapsed after an incredibly awful start to 2018. I went and stayed at my moms and had to go over to the house to get some things. Her and my daughter were gone somewhere but her Apple Watch was there. My gut told me what I already knew, and what I knew was that I shouldn't look through it knowing what I would find. What did I find? That she was filing for divorce the next week and plenty of messages to Joe. I knew it was only a matter of time before they ended up together. Can you guess what happened? I had a decent amount of money saved up so I took a sabbatical from work that ended extending to almost two years
December 2018, Christmas morning. I had a plan, it was foolproof. I was going to facetime my daughter in the morning to tell her how much I loved her and missed her and had a very merry Christmas... and then I was going to go in my backyard and blow my brains out. So thats what I did. I called her, talked to her as best you can to a three year old in the midst of a post present high with her cousins there too. Then I walked out in my backyard with my favorite rifle and sat there. And sat there. And sat there. For six hours. I cried, I wept... I wept for me, for my kid who was going to grow up without her daddy. I wept for my ex-wife who was going to have to explain to my daughter why she wouldn't be able to see her daddy again. I wept for my family and the pain I was about to cause them I begged and screamed to God. That if they were real and I was meant for things in this life that they would show me a fucking sign. Show me ANYTHING that would show me whether this drastic choice would be the right one... or the wrong. For six hours in the freezing cold. Never did get an answer that I could recognize as one. But the thought of my kid calling the person my wife had AT LEAST an emotional affair with, "Dad" made me sick... and made me want to live.
I decided to check into rehab, not for drugs, but so I didn't kill myself. Ive always kind of been a natural leader. I don't know why or what it is about me but people tend to flock towards me and have really either one or two reactions. They either really like me, or they really fucking hate me. Here though everyone really liked me and I was put in charge of running the meetings held there and trying to keep morale of the folks there. And it was a great fucking time. It was a month vacation in a really nice area of the state, I didn't have a phone, only my guitar and the resolve to work through my emotions in a safe place the best way I know how, by writing songs about it. Which is exactly what I did both in the classes, AA Meetings, out of class, didn't matter I was just knocking out song after song. I met a kid in there with a killer voice and a guy around my age who actually was the lead singesongwriter for a local band I was a fan of so it ended up being a really enjoyable experience.. The kid though... he got murdered last year from a drug deal gone wrong. Shot in a car and left to die in the parking lot. I think about him almost every day.
What did I learn? I learned that I shouldn't go looking for things I don't want to find, or ask questions that I really want the true answer to. Or so I thought.
I met K in December 2020 on Hinge. I wasn't sure I was really over my ex wife but then when we met it was love at first sight. And for a guy that didn't think he was ever going to love anyone again it was a major deal. She felt the same it seemed, though I now realize it was probably more of a trauma bond/rebound type situation. Things went really well for the honeymoon phase, it was like we couldn't get enough of each other. She was a cheer coach/art teacher, it was new, it was exciting, the sex was great.. she was great... She had some pretty serious insecurities and abandonment issues though. Her mom dropped her off with what ended up being her adoptive family only to come back a few years later and take her away for a few months, then bring her back and drop her off again. She self sabotages and destroys anything good in her life for fear or being hurt and left by someone again. And she only dated guys that controlled her, treated her like shit, stole from her, etc etc. She took xanax and ambien which when it would kick in at first it seemed she was still cognizant. One night when I was staying over there she had taken it and asked me to look something up in her phone. As soon as I open it I see a text to a coach at the school she taught at that was just really inappropriate shit that made me feel uncomfortable, especially since he was married. I asked her about it when she off work the next day and she just downplayed it as they are wont to do. I let it go but its something I thought of often, especially after it ended.
We moved in together in August of 21. I helped her get a job at a school over on my side of town so we got a really nice apartment close to her work and not far from mine. Thats when things started to change. I'll never forget we were laying in bed on a Friday afternoon, I was about to go pick up my kid. I rolled over towards her side and propped myself up and looked at her for a second and thought how lucky am I, and so thats what I said out loud to her. Its like she recoiled like she got bit by a snake, bolted out of bed and said I was being clingy and essentially ran out the door where she ended up back on the other side of town and had dinner with a gay guy friend. I really didn't know what to do or how to take it so when I picked my kid up I took her over to my moms house and we stayed there until K called and asked me to come home so we could talk. I left my kid with my mom and went over there and she apologized and reiterated how she feels in relationships, the fear of being left, how independent she had to be because of her upbringing and a few other things.
Not long after that she forwarded me an email, I'm not even sure what she meant to send me if she even meant it to send to me because I never got around to asking. It was an email thread with the coach where she said "guess what?", "What? You're gonna have my baby?" "No I got Covid!". I confronted her about it, told her how it made me feel, and while she never really responded to it in a way that made me worry I still strongly disliked it and let her know that. Not long after that as we were laying in bed I saw she was texting someone exceptionally long paragraphs, you know the type, the type when you're first talking to someone and are explaining things about yourself to them? I'll spare the long part but come to find out shes found a new coach to have what appears to be an emotional affair with. Though come to find out this one ended up being physical. She broke up with me in January 22. Told me while I showed her love in a way she didn't know was possible, and treated her in a way nobody had ever treated her before that I was too good for her and deserved better. I tried to change her mind, lord knows I tried, I was madly in love. My kid was in love with her. We talked about a future I never thought possible after my divorce.
I moved out of the apartment and back to my moms until I could find a place. We talked occasionally and I spent so much time reading this sub and others. Posts about how to get her back, how to make her miss me, what to do and what not to do. When my work sabbatical ended I got my old job back. Its a great job, ridiculously easy and the amount of work I actually do compared to my compensation should be illegal. She lost her cheer stipend when we moved back to my side of town since she didn't coach and since we got the apt together I knew what her funds looked like. We got that place because we could afford it together, alone I knew she was going to struggle. And I still wanted her back... what better way to show her that and try to manifest it by just being there for her when she needed me? Little did I know that would be the only time she asked me anything. Only when she needed help, or was having an anxiety attack and needed someone to talk her off the ledge and tell her everything was going to be okay. It was never her asking how I was doing, or my kid, or my dog, or what was going on in my life. Everyone told me what my gut had already told me but I lied to myself over and over. Not long after all this happened I found out she had been seeing the new coach at the new school though she still won't admit it even up to... checks notes today.
March 23 I get my first really big commission check I gave her 10k and we paid off her credit card, some other debt she had, some missed car payments and other bill help. Not long after that she tells me shes going to a cabin nearby where shes from with her sisters and nieces/nephews and asks me to watch her dog which I miss just as much as her so I do it. Mind you previous to this we went through a rough spot and she had blocked me on IG and never unblocked me. One of my cousins still followed her though, she hits me on snapchat saying "oh wow K looks amazing" I say "Oh yeah, does the cabin look nice?" She said "Cabin? Looks like shes at the beach" and sends me a screenshot of her IG post. I do my best FBI investigation and zoom in on her glasses, it appears to be a guy taking the picture based on the reflection from the frames and I kind of have an idea who I think it could be, come to find out, we'll call him JMJ also happens to be in Florida at the same time. So I call her out and tell her she needs to find someone to come get her dog and I'm done with her and her lies. She tells me "Oh my mom and dad are traveling across the country in their RV (WHICH THEY WERE) and so when you sent me that extra money after we paid the bills my sister and I decided to fly to Florida to spend some time with them on Spring Break"
She then breaks down and tells me how shes ruined the relationship with the last genuine person in her life and that when she gets back she'll get her dog and I'll never hear from her again. Master manipulator and while shes an amazing liar to someone who wants with every fiber of his being to believe him, is awful at hiding her lies. What do I do? Well I'm a fucking idiot so you can already imagine what I did. I begged her for once to just be honest with me. For once in our entire two years going back and forth that if she ever did truly love me or respect me for things I did for her that she would be honest. She told shes not dating anyone and doesn't have a boyfriend and that nothing has changed. I told her that even if she was seeing someone and told me about it I would help her out one last time only because I had committed to it. I told myself I was doing it for altruistic reasons, that because of all her issues that if I can do for her what I said I would do for her and that would help her out in her future relationships to show her that not everybody is it out to just fuck her and leave her, that when some people tell you they'll do something for you they mean it and she stops self sabotaging then I did my part.
A couple weeks ago was her 30th birthday. I see if she wants to grab dinner but she says one of her girl teacher friends is taking her to dinner in the galleria area. Check the guys IG story via an anonymous viewer and guess who happens to be at a restaurant in the galleria area? I don't even call her out because at this point Im making a plan. I get another rather large check in July and so we had previously talked about paying off the rest of her debt. She tells me shes going to her parents house for MDW and then that shes going out of town today with one of her old friends to New Orleans. This is when I realize just whats about to happen. Im about to have the answer to the question I thought I was dying to know the answer to. I told myself if he posts an IG story today where hes traveling, there is 0% chance that shes not with him. The first thing I see when I open IG is he posted a story... in Cancun. Then the next picture I see... her phone on the table next to him. Bingo. Send her an email saying "Hey I hope you have fun in Cancun!" and that was it. Almost immediately she texts me asking how I know and figured it out and I just saw red. I immediately opened up IG and sent him a message with texts, receipts, bank transfers, her telling me that she still loves me and we can go take a trip this summer, how many times shes asked me for money and help and the lies shes told me about him. She asks me to stop messaging him and I say that shes forever lost the option to ask ANYTHING of me but realize what Im doing is not the right thing and is hella immature so I send her another email saying I'm sorry and out of respect for her I wont say anything else to him.
Then he sends me a message on IG asking to elaborate more and then told me she told him I owed her a lot of money... I asked how much and for what and he said $2k for bills when we first got together. Thats when I sent him an entire list of all bank transactions through our bank and Apple Pay. Just digital alone, $18.647.00 over the last six months plus another $12,460.00 in cash over the last eight months. Then I realized just how little better this made me feel. In fact I thought I would feel triumphant, and ready to move on and finally be over her and start to heal. Knowing full damn and well keeping her around and helping her was keeping me from being able to heal and move on. I sent her another message telling her I was taking the last part of her birthday gift to her apartment and leaving it in the ottoman outside her door and that because I had already accounted for and mentally prepared for giving her money in July that I still would then I blocked and removed her from IG and anything else that would open up an avenue for contact.
Here we are. Starting NC again... a year and a half after we broke up all because I thought I needed the answers to what I didn't want to find out or know. And that yet again, my gut has yet to lie to me in regards to relationships. What is wrong with me? Why even after all of this do I still want her in my life and want her back? If she called me tomorrow needing help I'd probably still do it. How do I fix myself? I've gotten an entire new wardrobe, an entire home gym so I quit blaming my depression for why I didn't go to the gym, and have tried really hard to focus on myself yet I know deep down everything I'm doing, I'm still doing for hopes of her. I lied to myself and clouded my own gut and mind to listen to my heart when I knew what I already knew yet still felt the need to confirm it.
Its not worth it. IT. IS.NOT. WORTH. IT. Keep that door closed if you don't want to know whats on the other side. Don't open that book if you don't want to see whats written on that last page. If your gut is telling you something, its probably right. Listen to it. When your friends and family are telling you the same thing your gut is telling you, listen to them. Even if its killing you, even if its the last thing you want to do, even if its going to break your heart again and reopen any wounds for you to bleed out again it has to be done. Don't be like me. Don't prolong your suffering for a year and a half for hope that you know isn't going to shake out in your way regardless of what the other person might be telling you.
