In my first ever campaign on the digital version and I'm trying to make this the best experience for everyone so I have a mixture of questions looking for advice on general digital game management for this style of co-op game as well as specific strategic recommendations. I'll try to keep the questions in that order.
For reference we are doing a 4 player campaign on normal difficulty (90% sure here) with Brute, Tinkerer, Mindthief, and Scoundrel as our characters (I'm on Scoundrel). I'm not sure what the standard way of referring to turns/rounds are but I'll call turn an individual players opportunity to make a move and round as the entire process from start to finish of picking cards to resolving all characters turns.

1. We find that our rounds take a long time (could be anywhere from 10-30 minutes) which makes it hard for us to finish a scenario in a single session which is theoretically ok but frustrating if we ever want to make progress. Any tips on how to make this shorter?
2. As a follow up, I recently learned that scenario quests are supposed to be kept secret, are there other things that should/shouldn't be kept secret? One idea I had to try and solve number 1 is to mostly have us pick our cards for the round on our own and then we can discuss things once each character begins taking their turns. That may be counter-productive though to making the scenarios harder if we can't plan? Not sure if the trade-off here is worth it.
3. I've been personally pretty excited about the game and loving it and as a result I've been looking into the game more and more to learn strategy while avoiding specific story/scenario/character spoilers. As a results I think I've been becoming more of a quarterback than I'd like (and probably the rest of my group too but they're not actually mad at me yet). Any tips you have (other than suggestions above) to help deal with this?
4. We recently tried and failed at scenario 76 (which should be our third or fourth scenario that we've tried) which sparked a bit of a discussion on strategy. I'll be spoiler tagging any discussion of strategy so as to be extra careful about giving anything away about the scenario. One of my party members suggested splitting up as a team so that we could try and beat 2 rooms at the same time because of timing. We did not go with this strategy and lost but many of us still seem to think that would be a bad idea. Do you think dividing our team like that is a generally reasonable thing to do?
5. Continued question about scenario 76 strategy. When we started the quest we went in a clockwise patterns through the rooms which left us pretty screwed at the end because there was no way to get to that other room (marked E1B in the scenario book that I just looked up) connected to the starting room at the end without spending tons of turns and causing us to lose. We definitely made lots of mistakes elsewhere in the run but it seemed a bit unfair that we got stuck in such a way to make it quite tough to get back to that room once opening the treasure room. Since we were on digital we had no way of knowing what the map was going to look like and that we'd run into this issue. Is there something that should have tipped us off to this or any tips to make sure we don't run into this issue in the future?

Hello everyone, I need help. I’m really lost here, and if you take the time to read my story, I’d appreciate any and all help/criticism, so long as it’s respectful and well-intentioned. This is going to be a bit of a long story, so please bear with me.
Let me start from the beginning.
Around eight months ago, I got hired at a store I’d been trying to get a job at for a few years. I met a girl there: let’s call her Emma. She was one link further on the chain than me, and awaiting a promotion. We got along for the most part; had a few things in common, and a few things we didn’t. I don’t want to go into detail, but some of the things she was very vocal about irritated me enough to mostly keep my distance. We’d talk on our shift, and I’d be friendly, but we kept it as acquaintances and only occasionally talked about the things we had in common (we did share numbers).
Then, a few months in, I walked in on her crying in the office (a room close to the breakroom, we work on a sales floor). She said she was upset because someone she’d trained was getting promoted to the position she wanted, and she was left without word on when she would get hers. I kept my distance but extended grace, as I genuinely did feel bad for her, and while she was embarrassed to have been seen so distressed, she texted me later thanking me for my kindness with her situation.
At this point, she was still saying some things that rubbed me the wrong way. These are general differences in surface-level values, to elaborate a little, but in hindsight they’re really not a big deal. She was also now texting me much more frequently.
Then, one night when I was closing, a mutual friend of ours (friend to her for longer than friend to me) came in and we had a discussion. Her (female) friend said,
“You know, me and [my sister] think Emma has a crush on you.”
I denied this, but I could feel things changing just from hearing the suggestion. Our friend insisted, and said, “I don’t know for sure, but I mean, just the way she talks to you and stuff…”
It mostly ended there, and we talked about other things, but I couldn’t stop thinking about this. Then, in January, Emma discovered a mutual interest of ours that we hadn’t spoken about before. We’ll say it’s figure collecting.
I said to her I had a lot of them, and she insisted i show her over text when I get home. So I did, and she was elated; all-caps responses, happy to be talking to me, and after a few back-and-forths, she suggested we go on a trip to go figure hunting. An actual trip, too—to a city over three hours away. This rang alarm bells for me, because I hadn’t imagined she’d be interested in spending time with a coworker like that. But I figured I’d get something out of it, so I agreed. The next day at work, she came up to me with a whole plan laid out—I’d leave my car at her place, she’d drive us down, and we’d go hobby shopping. The weather affected the intended date three separate times, unfortunately, so we were only able to actually go at the very end of the month. But when we did, I was shocked at how much fun I had. We shared stories, we talked the whole way there, and I realized we had much, MUCH more in common than I initially thought. Similar goals for life, similar beliefs, and to my surprise, we resolved the thing about her that had been bugging me (about that minor difference in values). I’d been expecting her to clutch her opinion on the issue, but she treated what I had to say with respect and fairness, and I did the same. Maybe I’d gotten into my own head a bit about it, and it prevented me from thinking of her in a way she deserved to be thought of as. (I know I’m being vague here, but I really just don’t want to talk about that part of it.)
Let me add this, too;
She told me a secret about herself before our trip. I won’t share it, but I took it to heart, and incorporated it into a figurine of her I made as a gift. In fact, the statuette I made had references to our inside-jokes, her favorite colors, and favorite foods, too. You may have a hard time visualizing this, so I’ll say that the medium I’m working in makes this kind of project easy to make look good. At the end of our trip, I gave the gift to her.
She was absolutely struck with emotion; she started sobbing, got out of the car, got on her knees and just cried. When I got out of the car, she hugged me hard multiple times, cried on my shoulder, and told me the gift was the most thoughtful thing she’d ever gotten. She couldn’t stop hugging me, crying, and after a few minutes of this she kissed me on the cheek twice and said that the time we’d spent together was amazing. I said thank you for driving me, and through tears she said, “oh, you were so worth it.” I drove home fucked up and flustered from that; I’d never gotten female attention like this before.
When I suggested we hang out again, she texted back, “Yes, god, please.”
For the past two months, we’ve been spending more and more time together; going out to lunch, dinner, riverside walks, and also going to fun things like skating and the tennis court with our coworkers. But we haven’t established any actual romantic intentions. In fact, when we spent time on Valentines Day and I gave her a card and chocolate, she said, “Oh god, I almost got you flowers, but I—I was overthinking it. I’ll give you flowers next time I see you.”
And she did. She gave me flowers of my favorite color. But as she gave them to me, she pointed to the various kinds and said, “These flowers represent friendship,” and other things as such. Now, look; at this point in our relationship, we ARE friends, but making a point of it like that was weird to me. Over time, she’s continuing to call me things like “homie,” and “friend,” and I could be overthinking it, but that feels deliberate. After a few brunches and dinners, she barely texts me anymore; we have a Snapchat streak going strong since the trip, but she says nothing of substance with it, it’s all random pictures and such to keep the streak going. I don’t push on this because I don’t want to come off as clingy or desperate. At work, when we have the chance, she DOES still talk to me about the things she likes and her life, but it doesn’t continue once she’s gone home. I’ve been stuck planning all of our outings so far; all she's put effort into was the trip. Now, every time I DO suggest something, she always does follows through; but the lack of communication and suggestions from her make this feel one-sided, and doubly so with all the “friend” terms. But I'm so confused, because now whenever we part, she kisses me on the cheek, and I kiss her there too.
There’s also the fact that she has since gotten her promotion, and is now my manager; and since going through this with a coworker is bad enough, I don’t need to explain why this makes things more complicated. She generally seems like the kind of person who doesn’t have respect for the rules at work, so I don’t think her position is something she thinks about too hard in regards to what is an appropriate off-the-clock relationship, but it’s something that bothers ME. In my state, manager and subordinate is legal, so it's not a moral issue I take with this, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be a total shitfest if people found out. The drama would probably be awful, and I know neither of us want to leave this job.
So now I’m really conflicted, stuck, scared. Do I formally ask this girl out? I’m afraid I’ve misunderstood her feelings, and that asking the question will make things awkward between us from what feels like an inevitable rejection; as if I’d mistaken friendship for something more. I have never had a relationship before (and apparently, neither has she), and I don’t want to be the kind of guy who can’t get female attention without thinking it needs to be something more. But she always makes a point to say goodbye to me and hug me when her shift ends, we shared such deep feelings on our trip, and that thing her friend said to me keeps rattling around in my mind, not to mention all the little kisses. And -- even if it was absolutely certain she felt this way about me, is it wise to date my manager?
I’m sorry this post is so long, but it feels like there’s an incredible amount of context needed for this situation. Even then, there’s a little more, but I can’t lay out three months of life experience out in a post like this, so you’ll have to bear with me, and I’ll answer questions. Context:
I Bernie (32M) work for a private secruity company in the state of Kansas. At hiring me and my buddy Alfonzo (34M) applied and got the job. There are new owners, that just recently purchased this business from the previous owners a few months ago in 2022. Let's call them Jacob and Oscar.
Jacob and Oscar are brothers. They are also new business owners, and each handle a different side of the same company. Jacob handles administrative work, such as scheduling work, training, negotiating contracts and bids, and has big ideas to change what the company was into a more tech forward future. Oscar was a former correctional officer and police officer, so he prefers to handle the security side of the business.
However, their behavior towards their employees does not show any range of professionalism whatsoever. Some examples include: - screaming at employees over the phone - sending text messages to their employees that personally attack said employees - refuse to answer any questions - hanging up on employee on the phone - ignoring phone calls - purposefully punishing employees by reducing their hours, or not scheduling them at all when they feel slighted or disrespected. -cut employees off when speaking -belittling employees for their penmanship on paperwork, saying it's not done correctly (Bear in mind, the self-titled "chief" doesn't know how to do the paperwork and relies on his administrative employees to fix it after he turns it in.) Basically, call it what you will, I see it as being verbally abusive and borderline hostile work enviroment.
recently i heard that one of the employees (that's a disabled veteran), oscar tried firing him for bringing their service animal with them to work. Since that incident, I found out, that employee hasn't been placed on the schedule since, after their time off request.
I reached out to said employee, let's call him Arnold (31M), and he explained to me that, he was yelled at by Oscar, saying "he can't bring some dog some pet to work, no matter being advised multiple times he was a service animal, and that he was being fired for that. Arnold said he was able to talk Oscar out of firing him, and not bring his service animal to work, however being a new hire, instead of being given six months to percure a firearm, he was given 30 days. He was able to percure one, and after two weeks, he still hasn't been placed on the schedule, or been scheduled to go to the class to get federally qualified.
Especially lately, the owners have been treating all of the employees that have worked in this business for well over ten plus years, like they're worthless, and mass hiring people who do not have any experience in security whatsoever.
Employees are never given anything more than a security vest and two shirts with company logos on it. I personally believe Arnold is being targeted and discriminated against with vindictive and hostile behavior that falls under hostile work environment, however I'm not sure. There is a clear case of superiority complex, with the way me and my buddy have been treated, and I think it's happening to him too.
Equipment: The vests are not stab proof or bullet proof. We would have to supply our own plates to install in these vests if we decided to have more protection than wearing velcro cloth with magazine pockets. we work in an enviroment that is always at risk for harm.
They advise that we have to design and purchase our own badges, if we wish to carry a metal badge for "official use". In the mean time we have velcro 'shields' that has the private companies initials on it along with papeplastic cards as a form of "id"; the "id" just has our picture on it, name of the conpany, and our private information like full name, height, weight, and "badge" number. Keep in mind, we are NOT sworn in officers or agents. We are just regulated federally as a private company.
In regards to firearms, the company does not issue firearms or ammunition. We are required to federally qualify with our own personal firearm and also carry our own said personal firearm. If for any reason we did not have a fire arm, we had six months to percure one to remain employed. We were also never given any brochures, packets, booklets, outlined laws, policies or procedures of expectations of the job, work, self, other employees, ect at hiring, and when we inquired to have a copy of some form of ecurity Standards and Protocols and/or Policies and Procedures Manual/Handbook - we were advised we didn't need one, and if we had a problem to call the owne"chief".
Training: As for training, we were told to follow what the senior employees did, and how they did their paperwork. Never given the same instructions twice with every "FTO" we've been with, so we been given mixed training on how to properly fill out, said paperwork. There is no unified standard whatsoever. Just mostly told, do what covered your own rear.
Both me and my buddy rode first with the owneself-titled "chief" as our first "runs". He stated that the company had contracts with companies that performs vehicular maintenance in case the vehicles we use require maintainance. He explains that if something goes wrong, to call him first, and then get it maintained, other then that check the fluids at every refuel/stop.
Question(s): - under ADA, was Arnolds rights violated? - Is any of this, nature of hostile work environment? - can he file a claim with the EEOC?

I recently bought clothes from a seller. They have more than 2500 sales, and a rating of about 4.5/5 stars with more than 400 reviews, which at the time made me feel like it was safe to buy from.
They shipped from Hong Kong to where I live which is very far away, so as expected it took a while to be delivered. Today the package tracker told me that it had been delivered, and the final status on that shipment tracker said "Delivered to Distribution delivery point." However there is nothing in my mail box, and I haven't gotten a message from the distribution center about having a package waiting to be picked up. I didn't even get a message from my country's shipping company about my package having arrived at the country of destination and that they now are responsible for it shipping to where i live, which is a message that I always get whenever I buy things from other countries. When I check the delivery tracker I also noticed that the "Location" column is completely empty. The last message, which said "Delivered to Distribution delivery point." doesn't mention anywhere regarding delivering to the address of where I live, nor delivering to the address of the distribution center. On the tracking link there was also a link which displayed my package ID. The link it goes to is http://track.yw56.com.cn/en-US/ which I imagine should have some sort of ID in the URL, which it doesn't have.
The email I got telling me that my order had been shipped told me to reply to it if I had any questions, where I mentioned how I had not received the product despite it saying that it had been shipped. I did send this email 5 hours ago, however I feel like it would still be relevant to mention that I have not gotten a response yet.
Am I misunderstanding something or is there a very high likelihood that I got scammed? If that is the case, what can I do to get my money back? If it has any relevance, I ordered the product without an Etsy account, and I used the Visa card payment method.

Big tech mega caps have been on a tear recently, particularly since the mini “banking crisis” a couple of weeks ago. Meanwhile NDX 50d moving avg has crossed above the 200d and we’re over 20% off of the December lows.
I heard someone is calling it a “flight to safety” and others saying it’s just a natural recovery as tech typically bottoms before the broader market does. There are indeed some potential early positive signs with ad revenue possibly returning to some growth, cloud spending decline maybe bottoming, and semis inventories progressively correcting (plus a sprinkle of generative AI hysteria on top).
I’m personally struggling to see how 500bps of interest rate hikes built up over the past 12 months can have no real impact on the economy (unemployment at 3.6%, strong consumer confidence, etc) and I’m not really seeing fwd earnings estimates reflecting any meaningful demand slowdown at this stage.
I’m also not seeing an early Fed pivot in the cards given with inflation is still rampant (especially for core services) and the banking stress seems well contained.
I feel that tech stocks should be particularly vulnerable to economic slowdowns (being cyclical) and to rates (being high duration), but the markets seem to be of a different view.

So DH and I both maintain reasonably healthy weights without a ton of effort. We both have active jobs and hobbies, and while we like to indulge, we generally eat a well balanced diet. We work hard on modelling these habits for SD and making sure we don't engage in negative body talk with her. I'm all for people being healthy, but SD has made a few comments over the years that make me wonder if she's learning some less-than-ideal things about diet and exercise.
I just had a baby, and SD7 made a point of telling me throughout my pregnancy that I would need to make sure I exercised lots after the baby so I wasn't fat anymore. I just maintained that my body was doing what it needed to to stay healthy for the baby, and as long as I took care of it after the baby was born I would be healthy. She seemed pretty satisfied with that, and that's basically what's happened.
Now my DD is 5 weeks old and starting to chunk up from a month of exclusive breastfeeding. Every time SD7 sees DD undressed (diapering, baths, general baby naked time), she comments on how fat she's getting and tells me we need to make sure she doesn't eat too much. The chunkiness is adorable and a great indicator that my body is producing what my baby needs, but I'm worried about how negatively SD7 is viewing the baby's growth.
On top of that, we asked my FIL for some baby photos of SD because he's a photographer and I don't have any baby pics of SD. For context here, SD was probably the chubbiest baby/toddler I've ever seen. Incredibly healthy, growing well, cute as a button. And cheeks so big she couldn't quite open her eyes all the way. When SD saw all the pictures of herself, her first response was "Ew, why was I such a fat baby?" followed by "I wish I wasn't such a fat baby, that's gross". It absolutely broke my heart that she was thinking of herself that way.
How do we begin to approach this conversation? I know there are a ton of external influences that SD is exposed to, especially because she has unsupervised internet access at BM's (another issue entirely). BM has also been known to be very vocal about other people's bodies in front of SD, so the "gross" comments aren't particularly surprising. We try so hard to teach her healthy habits and self-confidence, it really sucks to hear her speaking this way about herself and her baby sister.

Non-negotiable requirements: don’t hurt my loved ones, don’t keep me from my loved ones, and must adore any and all animals
Relationship type: This is a yandere dating app…I expect nothing less than eternity and monogamy 😂
Children?: never. They would interfere with the yandere experience….though watching future bullies for our kids go down would be entertaining

Any ideas how to fix it?

Hi all,
I asked last week for suggestions on homework format and got some very interesting ideas (the thread is https://www.reddit.com/Professors/comments/122xe56/looking_for_suggestions_for_homework_format/). Now I decided to adopt a solution by @dougwray (thank you!) and I wanted to have some feedback and for those with extensive experience where I would meet a limitation or issue implementing it (mainly for stats/probability/math).
The framework will be as follows:
Students get practice problems with their solution at the beginning of the week on the week material (not graded so up to them to do the practice).
The homework will be in group of 3, each one of the 3 students picks 2 problems from the homework and write a solution for it, the other students also solve it and they submit the homework in group with each one's solution and the problems they suggest. so 6 problems total with 3 different solutions for each problem.
The homework is graded on how diverse and challenging the problems are (20% of the grade) so mainly completion with some feedback if something is wrong. Students of course need to create another version if their problem is a deadend (they can leave the problem without a solution for feedback).
Each week, students get a quiz with 3 questions randomly selected from the different versions that were suggested. I'll make sure each group got one question picked by the end of the quarter. Quizzes are 40%
Final will be a portion with questions students suggested and a portion with my own (40%).
Any insights, suggestions, amendments are welcome! Thank you very much! In particular would that work for a class like regression analysis where there is coding. I am desperatly trying to level up students' engagement, effort and correlation b/w the effort and the final grade.
