Then you can see when Ken hugs him, Rome thinks that’s it and pulls himself back a little after a second and then realizes that Kendall is pushing his head against his shoulder and wants to pop the stitches. Hello so I was injured roughly a month ago I’m going through the work comp process on a back injury. Herniated discs I believe that was seen by the walk in work comp dr inside the clinic . That referred me to an ortho surgeon I have nothing scheduled as of right now it’s been 2 weeks with no ortho appt scheduled yet I guess there reviewing my files? The case manager has just been taking there time on setting everything up but I’ve Never had a history of an injury w this severity. I’m wondering how much longer do you think it’ll be until things get settled out? I’d think about a week or 2 from now? It’s hard for me to do anything now I haven’t worked in 3 weeks now and have bills to pay there Dr had told me I was completely restricted can’t even do light duty. So now I’m just waiting and I was wondering when would the benefits kick in? If it’s been almost 30 days when would I be expecting a check from work comp

Jeg synes det er en mildest talt røvirriterende måde at få præsenteret seriøs journalistik på, og jeg vælger aktivt ikke at trykke på historierne, hvis jeg ser det er en sådan type "artikel" jeg er på vej ind på.
Jeg føler det som helt utroligt fordummende at få det vist sådan. Den eneste måde DR viste højdepunkterne fra en af pokalkampene mellem FC Nordsjælland og FCK var på en sådan "story" (link) hvor bolden synes mere ude af fokus end i fokus. Jeg har hjemme en stor, flot 27 tommers, 1440p computerskærm, som jeg hjertens gerne ser et videoresume på, samt jeg også har motorikken i mine hænder til at kunne vende mit intelligente lommetelefonsaggregat 90 grader sådan jeg kan se højdepunkterne på den i fantastisk 16:9 format; men nej! 9:16 til dig, Karl-Smart! (Det samme med den anden kamp, AaB-Silkeborg).

Last Feb we bought a carbon edition Mazda 3 hatch. Wife loves it and it's paid off. We got a happy surprise since then, and are two weeks into new baby, but it's become obvious that a rear facing seat and that little Mazda don't go together.
Our situation: 2 adults 1 newborn 2 medium (35lbs) dogs 1 5-year old (mine from previous marriage, spends 6-8 weeks out of the year with me, coming up soon in July)
Cars: 23 Mazda 3 hatchback 16 Audi S4 (still owe 10k, but at 2% interest, I'm not getting pressured to pay it off right away)
Wants: Ultimately whatever my wife wants. It's her car, not mine and I want her to enjoy it. Fun sporty ride, not necessarily fast but doesn't hurt for it to be fast. Apple car play Heated seats Good sound Leather
Does not want: Minivan Big SUV (full size or bigger)
She has been looking at used: Audi Q3/Q5 Audi A4/Allroad Mazda 6 Mazda CX-5 Alfa Romeo Stelvio (4-cyl) Lexus ES Cadillac XT4 VW Passat
Ideally we're not spending more than trade-in plus 5k. So let's call it OTD for about $30k. She's gotten an offer for 27k for the Mazda so we're pretty sure we could get away with a near clean swap.
What cars are we not considering? What would you consider in this situation?
Alternatively, for those of y'all who've been in this situation, what car seats would fit better? We currently have a maxi-cosi mico30 and a Nuna Rava that we plan to swap to when baby is a little bigger.

In the past few days, I rescued three separate hedgehogs from my dog's nuisance and then relocated them to my fruit and vegetable-filled garden for their well-being. While they are safe from harm in my garden, I've considered the possibility that these hedgehogs may have had babies and are unable to reach them now. I don't want to separate their families, so please let me know if the hedgehogs have babies at this time (we live in the South Caucasus) and whether they can reach their nests if someone relocates them. I’m the proud father of a baby boy born on May 4th after an unexpected C-Section at 34 weeks. Unfortunately my wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer but the rapid treatment plan we received caught it early enough to have it surgically dealt with during the delivery procedure and no further treatment appears necessary. An absolute miracle after a month of terror.
Unfortunately our tenure at the NICU started as soon as the last rollercoaster started slowing down. We’re now nearly 4 weeks in and I’ve never been so emotionally and mentally exhausted. Balancing the few chores we have, keeping the dog going, and driving into the NICU twice a day every day with us there from noon until 10pm every day has me about to throw myself off a bridge. Add in the fact that the area the hospital in is not a place you want to be at night, there’s been a shooting in the hospital itself by a janitor against a coworker, and I’m sure I’m asking for another miracle to hope I don’t get into an accident or find my car sideswiped in the parking garage by the end of this. Tomorrow I get to go back to work just to throw another wrench into things.
We are just waiting on maturation of feeding and his Brady’s to stop. Never had a Brady that wasn’t self limited, which we are told is great but doesn’t matter because each event resets our clock of discharge to a minimum of a week. He can eat a full 60mL of bottle every 3 hours one day but the next he won’t wake up for a feeding or can only half eat 2 or 3 of his bottles. “Just waiting for the lightbulb to go off” we keep getting told, but frankly I’m at a point where I’ve stopped being excited for that day because I am losing faith we can string together 7 consecutive days of perfection. No indication anything else is wrong, he’s very health we keep getting told, just not healthy enough to go home. Our updates are always the same “he’s doing great, he only had 1 (or 2) Brady events and he did okay eating. Doctors just want to see him keep improving and gaining weight”. Every. Day.
Is it awful I do t even want to go anymore at this point and just wait the 2 or 3 or however many weeks until we can bring him home? I’d rather that than just feel like I’m putting my whole life through the wringer to get a disappointing update being framed like it’s a positive. I won’t even be able to be there all those hours anymore, just the couple of hours in the evening I can spare between work, getting home to take care of the dog, and driving back to the hospital to catch the very tail end of the evening. I don’t feel like a Dad, I don’t feel like a meaningful contributor, and I’m just exhausted at trying to hope we can get our lives back on the rails again.

TL;DR - Several months ago, apartment mice began in my NYC apartment kitchen but were kept under control by excessive cleaning and food removal, with one or two traps set up. 10 days ago, my roommate and our dog left for a few days and I spotted mice in other rooms of the apartment for the first time. Long story short they got BOLD and kept coming near me. Landlord/Super is not in the building half the time and when he finally came to check it out for the third time in 2 months, he gave me more traps and denied that there are any holes in my apartment (due to the fact he caulked up some a few years ago) even though I 100% have mice (it's not rats I got a VERY good up-close look) and virtually every neighbor in my wall line reported them and my landlord admitted there is an infestation in the basement and 1st floor. Also, the mice have avoided every single type of trap set while still eating the bait from spring traps.
THINGS I'VE TRIED: *NOTE* All traps were cleaned first with no harsh chemicals only sweet-smelling dish soap and traps were exclusively handled with gloves.
Baits used- Rotated and/or combined foods for bait; peanut butter; whole wheat bread; white bread; dog food; dog treats; powdered liver dog food topper; bagels; grease from cooked ground beef.
Traps used- Voltage kill-traps; snap traps; simple no-kill bait traps; poison kill-traps; bucket flip-trap for field mice (dog-proof that's why)
Misc. Measures used - physical barriers and reinforced edges with many layers of duct tape to isolate them to the rooms they enter and exit from. Poison pellets behind appliances, or anywhere the dog cannot reach.
Measures that HELPED a tiny bit (not eradicated) - Poison pellets (reports of dead mice in the basement level, didn't really help my apartment though), the physical barriers I sealed up w duct tape, and my dog simply existing in the living room.
Long story version of the above.
So, I live in a 1 bedroom apartment in NYC with a roommate and a dog. We've been dealing with a mice infestation in the building for months, with a few sightings in the kitchen and some eaten food. Luckily, until about a week ago, we had zero sightings or signs of mice in any other rooms. When this began about 2 months ago, we alerted our landlord and told him where we thought they were coming from to which he responded "Well I closed that off two years ago so they can't be coming from there," *Fun Fact* They are coming from there. And other places in the apartment too. The method we've used to curb mice for the last few months was obsessively cleaning our kitchen with vinegar and peppermint oil each time we cook and wiping surfaces after EVERY possible food contact. They did not leave but they stayed just in the kitchen and since we cut off access to our food, got more explorative in the kitchen, but less spotting altogether. In retrospect, what kept them isolated to the kitchen after the food removal was the fact that my large dog stays out of there usually.
Fast forward to about 10 days ago, my roommate went out of town, and our dog stayed with their friend after the first day or two. Once I was the only person left in the apartment, the horrors started. I saw my first mouse run from the bathroom to my roommate's bedroom (I sleep in the living room) and I then started hearing mice in the living room (my room), behind a large armoire that acts as a fake fireplace. I immediately cleared out the entryway room to become the only truly mouse-proofed room in the entire apartment, double-bagged all food and put it in there, triple-bagged all dog food + treats, and sealed sealed sealed the room up. Not a single piece of accessible food was left in any part of the apartment. The less accessible the food got, the bolder the mice became. Eventually, after grabbing a single cookie and holding it IN MY HAND, the only food in the house outside the mouse-proof room, within 2 minutes of sitting on the couch a mouse climbs on and comes face-to-face with me. I had been sleeping on the couch at this point due to a mouse having run across my bed a few days prior. After this I deep cleaned virtually every single spot in the living room I could reach using a mixture of vinegar, peppermint oil, and anti-bacterial cleaning spray and sealed up any places I could conceive of even a roach being able to fit through. The kitchen is not possible to seal without the help of my landlord since the oven, sink, and refrigerator are immovable (kitchen walkway is about 2 feet wide at most from edge of counter to opposing wall trapping my appliances to their position).
On the 5th day of leaving message after message to my super (who is only in the building about half the time anyways) he finally came back to check it out, and stated the entire wall line of the building and the whole 1st floor + basement was having mice infestations, and promptly told me the same thing he did last time without pulling out any appliances to check behind them or even bothering to offer any alternative possibilities to where they might be coming from. My interpretation of my Super's stance on the problem is "You have mice. The entire building and especially the lower floors also have mice. I mice-proofed your apartment years ago so I needn't check to make sure it's still sealed. I believe you have no entrances or exits for mice although I won't check. Here are some traps and poison pellets just in case you have mice. But you definitely have mice though." He's visited three times in 2 months for this and says this every single time.
Before the landlord arrived, I had several no-kill mouse traps baited with peanut butter that the mice seemed to avoid like the plague. The landlord simply put up a bunch of snap-traps for mice and I went on Amazon to order a few chemical kill traps and a bucket-trap for field mice (it's dog-proof that's why). My super also sprinkled a bunch of mouse poison anywhere my dog can't get to.
It's been about 4 days since my landlord came and I set up every new trap. I made sure to wear gloves, thoroughly clean each trap, and rubbed a lil bread (that they'd already eaten a portion of previously) on the outside of the trap because why not make it smell nicer and more inviting? My dog is back in the house, my roommate is home, and while mice are now back in just the kitchen mainly (likely because of the dog) they are still super active and avoiding every single trap I've set and managing to eat the bait from every snap-trap without setting it off. They avoid altogether the voltage traps, simple bait traps, chemical traps, and bucket-trap. As bait, I've tried using peanut butter, dog food, dog treats, whole wheat + white bread, and even a bagel. I also did the thing where I tried to make them enter the trap by giving them no other alternative and then they suddenly begin finding new ways to climb walls or find another access point to come in and out of.
I'm so tired, my roommate is even more scared of mice than I am, and the dog is helpful, but won't drive them out completely. My super sucks, wtf do I do now? I don't want to have to report the building as having "Unsanitary conditions: Pests: Mice" to the NYC311 (NYC govt-run non-emergency city services) but after months of this and the last few weeks of intense mice-battling I am really struggling.

So, my family is planning a beach getaway and one of the most important things to us is accessibility for me and my service dog. Has anyone here taken their service dog on an enjoyable beach vacation and if so, where did you go? One of the most important things I'm looking for is a beach that allows service dogs outside of pet-friendly hours so I can enjoy the beach without the worry of untrained dogs bothering him. Some of the destinations we were looking at include Myrtle Beach, Rosemary Beach, and Tybee Island but we're pretty open.

When I say books about anthropomorphic animals, I mean books like Spot the Dog or Franklin the Turtle, for example. Kids' stories where animals take on human roles.
So no, the Serpent in the Bible doesn't count, it's a very different type of book.

When it comes to videogames, I play a lot of RTS, indie, survival, sandbox (Project Zomboid, Minecraft, Crusader Kings, Stellaris, Terraria etc.), but I also like horror, RPG and management. I play Overwatch or Battlefront sometimes, but I’m not too much into competitive/shooter stuff.
Topics I’m all about are Star Wars, Half-Life, science fiction, fantasy, writing, worldbuilding, history and all the stuff like that! I’m also interested in travelling and outdoor activities like road trips and camping.
I’m not watching anything rn but I’m waiting for the next season of The Witcher and Andor. I’m also pretty thrilled for the upcoming Ahsoka series and of course always open for recommendations! I don’t watch a lot of anime but I love Studio Ghibli movies.
My music taste is a bit random, but I listen to pretty much anything (a lot of electronic, synthwave, orchestral and game soundtracks tho).
I’ve been in a small friend group for quite some time and rarely venture out of my comfort zone. I have a bit of a dark humor, but if I have to, I can behave myself. I went to the Renue site for the highly reviewed Lipo Berberine and discovered their other outstanding products, especially the 4 Pathways to Restore NAD+. Now I'm lost. Does Defender replace Lipo Berberine? Is there a page or chart that shows all of their products, indicating which products do what so that I don't overlap products? Is there such a thing I have overlooked?

One of the best books I've ever read in my 60+ years of reading. Raises nuanced questions about issues that are often over-simplified, or about which we've collectively come to facile conclusions, and avoids pedantry or spoon-feeding the reader easy answers. Helps us to see familiar stories with fresh eyes, which is a miraculous gift for a writer to possess.
I find it difficult to offer thoughts about the story, characters, or themes without tipping the author's hand, so I apologize for the vagueness of this post. It's best to come to the book knowing little about the story or issues in it. A reviewer who can review it more specifically without giving something pivotal away is a more adept writer than I am.
But even if you're coming to it after having seen the excellent film, the book will pack its own muscular punch. I don't know enough German to say how well the translation cleaves to the original. But as a reading experience, it is flawless, flowing, not showy, and impactful.
Assuming this post results in any discussion amongst other readers (sorry: the pun is unavoidable), those who have not yet read the book should assume that there will be spoilers below. I would recommend reading the book before reading any discussion here.

On the second day we did a lot of walking. My mother and I counted each brownstone, took note of what features we would put in our own homes:
Wooden doors with knockers carved into the head of a lion, just like ours at home. Windows with shades that covered only the bottom half, so you could see the chandelier in the hallway, a glimpse of a person's life. Stained glass reminiscent of the ancient churches on every block. Window boxes, checkered tile at the entrance, castle gates.

I tried not to think about you. I tried not to think about you and me and a big dog in a brownstone. I tried not to think about you when we walked to a memorial park I don't know the name of, and saw couples on blankets watching their children pass a soccer ball. I tried not to think about you when I saw couples mesh into each other on park benches, new and fresh and loving. I tried not to think about you as I got anxious ordering coffee, knowing you would have told me it would be alright. I tried not to think about you.

As we crossed the street, I saw graffiti on a box attached to a telephone pole. Some sort of electric circuit, I suppose. I saw this, and I thought of you. In messy spray painted writing it said quite simply: "I Miss you".

I posted a little while back about living in the UK (I'm an Aussie), marrying a British man, and my mum finding every excuse possible not to fly to the UK for my wedding. It's too expensive, we said we'd pay. She has a dog, we offered to find her a dog sitter. It's just too hard, we offered every solution under the sun. There was a problem for everything.
I get not wanting to travel. That's fine. It's the problem for every solution attitude that gets me.
No one else in my life is having this attitude. My friend said she'd be coming for sure, which upset my mum because other people were planning on making the trip. My sister then said if she could travel with my friend, she'd come. My other sister and her fiance were a hard no because travelling to the UK doesn't interest them.
I think mum thought everyone would say "it's too hard," which would effectively be an "I told you so" to me for marrying a Brit and living here.
My cousin is visiting at the moment, and he and his girlfriend told me they also would definitely be coming. He then said his brother and parents would likely be definites too. His mum is my mum's sister, and their relationship is turbulent to put it nicely. I get along really well with my aunty, so I'm thrilled and grateful to have more of my family express interest in making the trip.
What I'm not thrilled about is what my mum will say when she finds out that the majority of the extended family wants to come. The only people in my family at this rate not coming will be my mum, one of my sisters and her fiance. It's gone from punishing me for moving away, to them looking like they blatantly just don't want to, especially after we offered to get them here.
I know this will be my fault somehow. Like I shouldn't have invited them or something. I feel a mix of super happy my family are coming, and sick at the thought of what mum will say.
