2023.03.21 15:29 Sensitive-Cycle-3435 2004 McGuire Air Force Base UFO Incident

2004 McGuire Air Force Base UFO Incident
I was an active duty United States Air Force Airman, assigned to McGuire Air Force Base in Burlington County, New Jersey, in the early 2000s. I myself did not witness anything, but I worked directly with people involved in this incident, including my roommate, as well as my supervisor. On the night of April 6, 2004, at around 0130 the McGuire control tower spotted what they believed was a small plane coming in for a landing. This had actually happened in the past, small planes would get confused and accidentally land at McGuire instead of Cross Keys. Not a common thing, but with fatigue and flying at night it had happened.
Relayed to me by someone in Air Traffic Control: as the "plane" approached the base, the tower contacted Security Forces, but the "plane" was not a plane at all, but instead it was a silver disc the size of a car that did have some kind of external running lights. The tower observed this craft descend onto the western side of the flight line in front of the National Guard ramp. I was told this was seen by multiple Airmen with binoculars, and was possibly also seen/recorded on the security system.
At the time, the National Guard was on alert with their KC-135s, and there were approximately 15 maintenance Airmen working on aircraft who witnessed the silver disc land directly in front of them. As soon as the internal Security unit drove out to confront whatever it was, it shot up straight into the sky at a high rate of speed.
Of note: I was told that on the morning of the next day, someone claiming to be from MUFON showed up at the main gate asking for information on the incident. That same day, April 7, a team of OSI agents showed up on a C-17 and inspected the area. I was told that the Airmen in the tower had to sign NDAs. No one working on the flight line or working in Security Forces had to sign anything.
By the end of the week, our commander told us there would be nothing in the Security Forces incident blotter, and that it was being called "a UAV of unknown origin."
Whatever happened, it unsettled quite a few people. I got to talk to some of the maintenance Airmen who witnessed it, and they were adamant that this was no UAV and no actual aircraft. "Chrome disk, classic flying saucer," was what they told me.
In the days after, Airmen I worked with scoured the internet, and saw that this was not the first time there were alleged incidents at McGuire, even more interesting that this alleged incident happened in roughly the same area. Here is another write up of that incident in 1978.
Some final notes: McGuire is right next to the site of one of the country's worst nuclear accidents, that no one seems to know about.

Orlando TV news journalist, 9-year-old girl killed in shootings near earlier homicide scene
An Orlando TV journalist and a child were shot and killed on Wednesday evening near a crime scene where a woman was found shot to death earlier in the day, in a brutal spate of violence in Pine Hills that prompted widespread shock and grief.
Orange County Sheriff John Mina said at a news conference that the journalist for Spectrum News 13 and 9-year-old T’yonna Major were among four people who were shot. The others were another member of the News 13 crew and the mother of the girl.
Spectrum News 13 released the names of their two journalists who were shot. Reporter Dylan Lyons, 24, a Philadelphia native and UCF grad who previously worked in Gainesville, was killed while photojournalist Jesse Walden was critically injured.
Mina said a suspect, Keith Melvin Moses, 19, was in custody — and he was also suspected in the earlier shooting of 38-year-old Nathacha Augustin.
The journalists were working on a story about Augustin’s killing in the Pine Hills neighborhood.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague and the other lives senselessly taken today,” Charter Communications, the parent company of Spectrum News 13, said in statement shared on Twitter.
“Our thoughts are with our employee’s family, friends and co-workers during this very difficult time. We remain hopeful that our other colleague who was injured makes a full recovery. This is a terrible tragedy for the Orlando community.”
According to WFTV-Channel 9, which also had journalists at the scene who were not injured, the shooter walked up to the News 13 vehicle and opened fire.
“The man walked by our crew who was working in their car. Our crew ducked,” WFTV’s Nick Papantonis tweeted. “The man then walked up to the other crew working in their car and opened fire.”
The Channel 9 reporters rendered aid as first responders were called. Multiple ambulances reportedly left the scene and took the victims to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Mina said the suspect walked up to the News 13 vehicle around 4:05 p.m. and fired into it, hitting the photographer and reporter. Both were taken to the hospital where Lyons was pronounced dead.
Moses then went to a house on Harrington Street nearby and shot a woman and her 9-year-old daughter, according to Mina. Deputies arrested Moses nearby not long after, Mina said. He had a handgun that detectives believe was used in the shooting.
Mina said the vehicle did not look like a typical news van with the markings of the TV station on it, so it was unclear if the Spectrum journalists were targeted due to their profession. It’s also not clear why Moses allegedly targeted the woman and her daughter.
“I want to acknowledge what a horrible day this has been for the community and our media partners,” Mina said.
News 13’s staff continued live reporting Wednesday night despite their co-workers being killed and wounded.
“This is extremely devastating for all of us,” reporter Celeste Springer said on air. “But I am proud to have such an amazing team backing all of us. .... Please, please say a prayer tonight for our co-worker who is in critical condition. And while you’re at it, please say a prayer for every victim of gun violence.”
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also tweeted out her condolences.
“Our hearts go out to the family of the journalist killed today and the crew member injured in Orange County, Florida, as well as the whole Spectrum News team,” she tweeted.
Earlier in the day, deputies found Augustin shot in a vehicle around 11:17 a.m. in the 6100 block of Hialeah Street. She was pronounced dead on scene.
Moses and the woman were acquaintances, Mina said.
A heavy police presence could still be seen at the scene of the incident by Wednesday evening, including several crime scene vehicles. Hialeah Street and surrounding streets were blocked off.
Mina said Moses is currently facing a murder charge in the shooting of the woman and is expected to face additional charges.
In a Twitter post, U.S. Sen. Rick Scott said: “This is absolutely horrible. My team and I are closely monitoring the situation and keeping these Floridians and their families in our prayers.”
A Florida Department of Law Enforcement criminal history report listed more than a dozen arrests for Moses dating back to January 2018, when he was arrested on motor vehicle theft and domestic violence battery charges as a juvenile. He pleaded no contest and was sentenced to a year of supervision.
Later arrests included charges of obstructing law enforcement, resisting arrest, burglary, failure to appear in court, grand theft and repeated probation violations, records show. Many of the arrests came when Moses was a minor and arrest reports were not available Wednesday night.
Court records show his most recent Orange County arrest occurred in Nov. 21, 2021, when he and two other young men were seen smoking suspected marijuana in a car near Balboa and Hernandez drives in Pine Hills. As deputies approached the vehicle, someone tossed a firearm from the passenger side, an arrest report said.
Moses, who was on felony probation from a juvenile case at the time, was arrested on charges of possessing cannabis and drug paraphernalia. The case was dropped the following month, with an assistant state attorney writing it was “not suitable for prosecution.”
In a statement, Orange-Osceola State Attorney Monique Worrell said that her staff is working to provide resources to the victims’ families and will be working closely with law enforcement officers to learn more details about the shooting.
“Our sincere condolences go out to the families of those whose lives were lost today. We are praying for the victims their families and their loved ones,” she said in a statement shared on Twitter. “We are also praying for the Spectrum News 13 family and the broader Orlando journalism community, including the other reporters who were on scene and rendered aid.”
Last year, Worrell held a press conference to address a rise in gun violence and said her team would establish a plan to make the Orlando community safer.
Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings also offered condolences to the victims’ families.
“We are saddened by the horrific shootings that took the lives of innocent victims in Orange County today,” he said in a statement. “We work daily with our local media organizations to accurately cover the news and it is incomprehensible that a journalist has been killed while doing his job and that a child and a young woman have been killed as well.”

My mind was blown when I read about Chino's choice of words when he confirmed in his pre-polygraph interview that he was in Jen's condo for work the week before she "passed away".
Talk about a Freudian slip!!
That, together with the housekeeper identifying him as possibly being the person in the HOTG cctv video, plus his prior criminal record makes it really hard for me to clear him as a suspect.
Excellent watch:

2023.01.21 19:32 Disgruntled_Veteran Great Article Expanding On New Charges

I found this article from yesterday that expands upon the insurance fraud cases. Apparently he tried to use photographs from one accident for other fake accidents. And in one case he purposely calls an accident so he could go ahead and submit the fake photos. And as we know, he also lied to the insurance companies about what the vehicles were registered for. I'm also wondering if they're going to get him for lying about being a veteran to get a military discount. Here's a link to the article.

2023.01.07 22:45 RAS310 Orlando viewers... anyone know why J! is airing twice tonight?

On WFTV channel 9, the Saturday repeats of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune are pre-empted by football, which is routine during the season. When this happens, the shows are moved either after the 11:00 news, or Sunday at 5:00 (WOF) and 5:30 PM (J!). I saw that WABC channel 7 in New York aired the shows early at 1:00 and 1:30 PM this afternoon just before the games, so I was curious if WFTV would do that as well.
Instead, I saw that for tonight, WFTV has two episodes of J! scheduled after the 11:00 newscast (which just starts whenever the game ends and then slides back the shows after it). On the guide, the first one is not listed as any specific episode, and the second is listed as the repeat from last season. After that is just one episode of WOF, its Saturday repeat. Neither show has an airing on Sunday.
Usually when either J! or WOF gets pre-empted on a weekday, the affected episode moves to the weekend, so I'm guessing the first of the two episodes is an episode that got pre-empted earlier this week. The shows were fine on Thursday and Friday. Does anyone who watches on WFTV know what happened during the week, if anything? I find it surprising because when WFTV pre-empts half the 7:00 hour for a local special or something, they always bump WOF, or if they do air their special at 7:00, they move J! to 7:30 and still bump WOF, so it was interesting to apparently see a pre-emption that affected only J! instead of WOF or both. Maybe it was a severe weather report? I tried searching "@wftv jeopardy" on Twitter to see if anyone complained about a pre-emption, but there was nothing relevant.

2022.12.21 22:07 Magoatt Mike Videos With Updates

Steven Koecher:
A little over a week after marking 13 years since Steven Koecher disappeared an update has finally come out. A new witness has spoken publicly with them having an interaction with Steven sometime between 11:54 AM and Noon. Reportedly the witness remembers Steven coming up to their house and ringing the doorbell. He told the witness “I need money.” The witness said that he last saw Steven walking on the side that did not have the walkway before he shut the door.
The family of Steven is working with private investigators to try and find any additional information on the case. The private investigating team is a company called “Utah-based EyesOn Private Investigations”. Recently it was revealed the full list of items in Stevens car included gifts for his family in addition to frozen food, a pillow and a blanket. To both his family and investigators makes it seem like Steven intended on returning to his car.
Kevin Wyatt a private investigator working the case proposed that the conversation Steven had with the neighbor may of had fatal consequences. “I think he went to the home that he was supposed to go to and actually says, ‘Oh, kind of funny, I told the guy and asked him if he wanted some money,’” Wyatt said. “I think that’s what resulted in Steven’s disappearance — was that error.”
A police report also makes indicates a neighbor was interviewed after the disappearance. Reportedly the same neighbor acted nervous while being questioned about the case. The person also said that they did not recognize Koecher, had no friends along with “not trusting anyone due to the drug lifestyle that people tend to have.” Police reports also includes a separate neighbor saying that on the day Steven disappeared a separate neighbor moved out that same day.
After police tried to question the occupant of the house they noticed it was empty. During the private investigators search they obtained photos from a home in the neighborhood taken shortly after Koecher’s disappearance. The photos show several holes in the walls and other damage. It is the same property the men suspect Steven was heading in those last moments caught on video.
The private investigators suspect that Steven is dead and likely buried somewhere in the Las Vegas valley.
Jennifer Kesse:
A small update in the case of Jennifer Kesse has recently occurred. The investigation was handed over to the FDLE as part of a cold case review earlier in the month. The investigation is pretty much restarting from the beginning. After overlooking the police files on the case after suing in order to get access to said files Drew Kesse has said that him and his team identified several people they believe need to be interviewed again. This also includes evidence which he saids should be retested. The Kesse family has said that this is their last resort and that beyond this their is nothing left they can do. Investigator Lee Massie who is the agent in charge of the FLDE case has not revealed what they have learned or how long the investigation will take though says they will continue to try and find answers.
DeOrr Kunz:
Klein Investigations and Consulting has announced they are rejoining the DeOrr Kunz disappearance case after being rehired by a new client. Klein has stated that the team is going off past statements made and mapping up which includes a trash dump, mapping had begun but was not completed when Klein’s team left the case. Klein says their will no longer be updates on the case until they solve what happened to DeOrr Kunz.
