I've seen the articles claiming the best ones to try out and the ice cream trail, but I just want to know if anyone has created bucket list for each one and where to find that list? Thank you!

I'm trying to figure out what my options are for adding Ortlieb panniers to my S5. I've seen other posts talking about the scratches to the frame and that you need to add a soft pad to prevent that. But nothing about mounting itself.

Gotta raise ph? Baking soda, crushed coral, limestone or alkaline buffers work
Lower ph? Dirftwood, Catappa leaves, tannis, adding peat moss to tank all work
Algae problem? Cut lighting for atleast 3 days and don’t over feed your tank
Ich? Raise tank temp to 80-82F and treat with ich-x, ich-rid, etc
Fin rot? Melafix is a good med for this along with salt baths
Cloudy water? This is mostly likley an algae bloom and will go away although you can buy a water clarifier
Sudden fish death? Check water parameters and check for any fish bully
Accidentally over fed your fish? Fast them for at most 3 days they’ll be fine
Need to take care of sudden fish fry? Brine shrimp or crushed up flakes are good to feed them and you can buy a breeder box to keep them safe
Snail infestation? Add lettuce or cucumber to tank, wait for snails to slither…? Over to it and remove
Leak or crack in tank? Place fish in a bucket with tank water, buy new tank during petcos 50% off sale or anywhere of your liking, and ofc cycle tank

Went to Grand Fir Brewing (Portland, OR) with a few coworkers this week and was pleasantly surprised to find Doug Adams (chef/owner) working the pass! A bit stunned and fully fangirling, I was just enjoying being in his restaurant and then my coworker told one of the hosts that I was fan and the host said she would see if he could stop by to say hello. Totally embarrassed and not wanting to be an imposition it felt like a long shot. But then, a few minutes later he was there! Everyone in my group had either lived in Texas or is from Texas, so we talked rural Texas, BBQ, beer, Southern food vs. Texas food, Buc-ees, and differing culture shock and politics across the two states. He was as genuine and kind as he appears to be on the show. Grand Fir is his collaboration with his wife and has incredible “elevated” bar food with award winning beer. All around great time - best chicken wings of my life and a knock out burger. Check it out!!

My wife and I bought a new (to us) house, and we’d like to mount our TV above the fireplace.
Here is what I’m working with.
The switch powers the gas fireplace. A friend suggested I could splice into that wiring before the switch and run that up. My only other option (that I see) would be to splice the wires from the outlet to the right, but that would involve drilling through 5 studs (and maybe fire block) as opposed to 2 studs for the switch.
Is tapping into the wiring before the switch an OK method? Thanks in advance for the help. Also, sorry if my terminology is incorrect; I’m still learning to do a lot of DIY stuff.

Found out about this app earlier today and absolutely loved it. Everything from the UI to the features and the really neat instant mix mode are great. I really want to switch but the only thing holding me back is the lack of scrub/seek support with transcoding enabled. I host my music in an S3 AWS bucket and filesize is a concern because all my music is raw FLAC ~60MB a track. To resolve this, I use opus transcoding. DSub has always had the ability to seek/scrub through a track with this enabled and it works quite happily with Navidrome as the server. I'm unsure if its only Subsonic that doesnt support this.
It seems the devs have purposefully disabled seeking with transcoding enabled as setting the option locally in Playback -> Wifi max bitrate disabled the seekbar entirely, but doing it on the server-side the seek bar just becomes unusable and goes back to the start when attempting to move it.

She is ill, made me EOE & POA; sister mad, trying to change mom’s mind, ruin our relationship; she recruited our toxic, rich, alcoholic aunt to help her, tactics include likely gaslighting, verbal abuse, alienation, exclusion from holidays, family events.
2 mos ago sister proposed we visit Graceland w/mom. I agreed for mom’s sake. Sister commandeered planning of entire trip. I had no say. She booked Airbnb, not hotel we discussed, she decided we would rent a gas hog, drive the 8 hr trip instead of flying. She gave me an itinerary full of activities & dining all chosen by her. Said we were splitting all costs 3-ways & that she needed my share in advance. I sent the money.
Last week mom & sister sprung on me that toxic aunt was coming on the trip. I asked, “How long have you been keeping this from me?” After an extended pause mom said, “All along. This is an 17 year old SR Smith 6' tall slide. I describe it as a 6 foot freefall followed by a 90 degree turn. It does have a water line, but it simply dumps into a little pool at the top of the slide where you sit and flows down the slide. The slide itself has a 3" diameter hole in the seat. I use a 3" diameter rubber plug/cap with a hole drilled in the middle and run the small water hose through this hole. The rubber is dry rotted and needs to be replaced.

1. Any idea what the part is called? It's white rubber, 1.75" tall and 3" in diameter. It is closed on one end and open on the other, like an upside down cup.
2. Are there better options that would fit into this opening? I've seen, and own, the standard "add water to your slide" kit, but I haven't found a good place to mount the nozzles.

Which would you spring for if you were in my position? I'm heavily leaning towards the MG08 for two reason: First, it can be readily field stripped and disassembled for cleaning and maintenance. Secondly, there are plenty of parts kits for spares should something break. I reached these two options as I set three parameters for my search: 1. An original C&R gun 2. A budget of $20k ($25k for the right package) 3. No subguns

Which would you spring for if you were in my position? I'm heavily leaning towards the MG08 for two reason: First, it can be readily field stripped and disassembled for cleaning and maintenance. Secondly, there are plenty of parts kits for spares should something break. I reached these two options as I set three parameters for my search: 1. An original C&R gun 2. A budget of $20k ($25k for the right package) 3. No subguns
Which would you go for? Any advice of what to look for when buying a German MG08? Thank you.

Took my two kiddos to a neighborhood playground (a different one than we typically go to). Kids had fun, I was pushing one year old on the swing. 3.5 was playing on the structure next to/quarter turn behind me. I was keeping an eye on both. Had already told him to stay in the bark chips. A little girl and her mom were playing on the structure with him. I look over and don’t see him. Look again, don’t see him. Panic ensues, he had wandered off.
He is 100% mister no fear. No stranger danger. Will talk to anyone, hardly looks back to check for me. He had been gone at least a minute or two before I found him.
I started looking and screaming his name, other parents started looking. Horrible scenes flashed into my mind. There’s a tiny trickle of a creek, and he had crossed the bridge and was in the wooded area.
Needless to say, won’t be going to this park again. But this was 100% on me, I know. How do I help teach him stranger danger without making him fearful of everyone. His father has major anxiety, and I want to teach my kids to be friendly. But now I have a whole new bucket of fears, and even though it’s been two hours, I still feel so sick to my stomach. This could have ended so differently.
