My iPhone was dropped and now my screen no longer comes up…I’m thinking some sort of hardware damage was done…..However I am pretty sure the phone is still working because I can feel it vibrate when I hit the buttons on the side….
I went and got a new iPhone 14, but I really need to get my saved data from the old phone transferred to the new one. Will I still be able to sync the 2 phones without having a functional screen on the old phone, since I can still at least get it to turn on?

Like the title says. I have an Asus ML249H monitor that I've been using for many many years. One morning I see the screen is black. I check conections,swap cables and swap with a cheap monitor. Everything works so the problem is the monitor itself.
Now I have a newer and better replacement monitor but I keep wondering if the old one could be fixed somehow. Problem is, I have no experience with electrical equipment (I've build a PC but that's about it) or any tools. I wouldn't even know where to begin
My gut says its probably a minor issue but my gut's pretty stupid so what do I know. Is there any way for me to try to find out what's wrong and try to fix it? Or is it too complicated/expensive to be worth salvaging?

It seems those were well received in 2022 by critics and consumers alike as good options for truly portable gaming on a 14 inch screen. They did tend to get hot, however, which is understandable considering how light and thin they were.
The 2023 models should be coming in a couple months or so and the top end ones will feature Ryzen 9 7940HS and a watered-down RTX 4090 (125W). I’m not experienced in gaming laptop prices at all, nor am I capable of estimating how much of a performance loss this 4090 will have compared to the full TDP (175W) models.
How much can one expect to pay for the top configuration? Is it close to Razer blade prices? Considering owners of 2022 top end models, is it worth it (are they durable and perform well)? Are the thermals manageable? What do you guys think?

Hello - just as title says. I recently downloaded Oblivion on steam and before I could exit the sewers a ton of quests started populating on their own? Like, I could only go a few seconds before a quest popped up on screen, and it happened maybe 15 times. I am wondering if it's a glitch? I have GOTY Deluxe Edition, if that helps. I've played GOTY on xbox, and that never happened. Is this a glitch?

Yes, I play crim, I know I am scum.
So anyway, doing a breach and steal today. Did my due diligence and shut down the coms near the mission. Find the ship, start the dog fight with the other crims and security that are always there. After I kill one crim, and switch to a sec ship, my controls lock up, and I get a message saying stay still, you're being arrested. My health is full, my ship is fine, but I'm frozen, and all controls are UN-responsive. Then black screen, and the Kleschner words pop up.
I didn't have time to try my mobi, or anything else, it was so fast I thought it was a lag spike.
WTF was this? New security buff that they just point at you and insta you to jail?

There is a crack in the wall of the house I’m living in. It goes all the way down to the floor board & the one side of the room dips down into the corner, if you were to set a marble on the ground it’s gonna fly over to that area. I was told the foundation is not off. How can that be? Another fear is there was a sink hole on this same street, is this house going to go under? It is over 130 years old

I'm not certain what 'genre' the music is - It seems to be related to tech house, or dark synth. I seem to remember that the video was mildly popular maybe 4 or 5 years ago, and is likely buried by tons of similar videos, though I haven't seen any that had the same zoom in, pulsating beat and the various girls all with a crazy glint in their eye. The girls come up on the screen for about 5-6 seconds and then the 'animation' replaces one of them with a different image.

Booted up my spreadsheet in Excel yesterday and the search bar on my pivot table that i put in to filter the descriptions for keywords (code can be found below), stopped working.
I admit i am not the best with VBA but after some trouble shooting i got it mostly working, except that it gives me a "Runtime Error 5: Invalid Procedure call or argument" error when i run it.
When i debug, when i hover my cursor over the line that it flagged for the error, the si.Name that it says it is experiencing the error on doesn't exist in this spreadsheet...
The error is happening on the line that says:

Anyone have any ideas on whats going on here? im at a loss here after about 3 hours lol

i’ve never actually grew up being homophobic. i was always taught to not judge anyone. i remember being a kid and seeing a gay couple on “say yes to the dress” and i asked my mom about it because i was confused. she educated me that two people of the same gender can fall in love and get married. i didn’t think that was ever an option.
i am unlabeled now. i learned that i like boys and girls. i just don’t like putting a label on myself because i always freak out if i’m really bisexual let’s say. it’s just easier for me and i’ve been comfortable not labeling my sexuality.
anyways, i’ve always been supportive of the lgbtq community. i’ve been supportive of my friends who have come out as gay, bisexual, trans, etc. i’m always educating some of the people in my life about the lgbtq community because sometimes they may have some internalized homophobia without realizing it. when it comes to my favorite medias, i’m always shipping characters together who aren’t canonically gay but i still ship them.
will and mike from stranger things were my first mlm ship. everything about them in s2 just screamed that they had to be in love.. at least will. will byers is now canonically gay and it’s amazing that i was right. when s2 came out, a lot of people were saying that it was weird byler became a thing and how will wasn’t gay. well now he is. i also shipped sonic and shadow together for some time. i just loved their dynamic. killua and gon are my all time favorite ship. there’s been many hints that killua is in love with gon. perhaps gon doesn’t have those feelings for killua, but what they have is real. i love their relationship.
i ship the classic amity and luz from the owl house. at last, a canon wlw ship. they’re so cute and i remember being so excited when they shared their first romantic moments together. not to mention when they officially became a couple. they’re so healthy and i’m going to miss them since the show is ending VERY soon.. like soon soon. the list goes on. i love ellie and her relationship with riley and dina from the last of us. i love tweek and craig. i love homura and madoka. i love norma and badya from dead end. i love kel and sunny. the list GOES ON!! ofc there’s other lgbtq ships i like but they’re not my favorite. as in they’re cute but idc abt them.
i remember being mad at my boyfriend when he saw a gay couple kissing on screen. it was some zombie apocalypse show on netflix. he’s NOT homophobic. he really enjoys lumity for example. but anyways it was two boys that kissed and he made a face. later on, i learned that he does that with any couple. straight or gay. sometimes he just makes faces when people kiss on screen. not to mention that he didn’t like the gay couple in the tv show because it reminded him of his friendships with the football guys. so for him personally, he just didn’t ship them! he always thought of the football guys like his brothers so it was odd for him. he thought their storyline was very creative and cute though. but when the football guys are like the brothers, he’s not gonna see it like that.
i’m only bringing that story up because i was fuming mad that he might be homophobic. i can’t stand homophobia. i used to go to a catholic high school and i remember when my religion teacher was trying to literally brainwash all of us into thinking homophobia was a good thing. it didn’t work for me. i lost some friends from that class seeing they agreed with the teacher. they revealed themselves to being transphobic and homophobic.
that’s just some context to my beliefs.. so why do i think i’m homophobic? i actually don’t even remember what this tiktok was actually about. i just remember it was talking about how netflix forces inclusion in their series and movies which makes it very unrealistic. obviously it’s not every show on netflix, but the point is that i agreed. i agree that netflix tries too hard to be inclusive at times. it’s more harmful when it’s stereotyping characters. they’ve queerbaited characters in the past too, like wednesday and enid. they’ve added the show dahmer under lgbtq shows to watch?!?! like WHAT? they cancel a lot of wlw shows or animation with lgbtq representation like dead end. they treat the community like it’s a joke. the problem is i don’t remember if it was talking about gay people OR race/ethnicity in netflix. whatever it was, i agreed. it seems force sometimes.
and because of that — i’m thinking i’m homophobic. despite me enjoying all these medias and shipping characters together whether they’re canon or not.. i keep thinking i’m homophobic. i never questioned their place in media before. like when there was an outrage in the last of us when episode 3 showed bill and frank, i didn’t care. it was a sweet episode. it’s sickening that homophobic people decided to review bomb that singular episode just because of gay men.
i didn’t mean to agree that netflix forces representation. i mean they do sometimes. i think a lot of huge corporations sometimes. it’s like when it’s pride month and we have all these stores turning their logos into rainbows and then taking it off as soon as june is over.

My husband and I have been having a rough patch for a while now. A week ago we almost came to the decision to split up but then decided to work on it. Not even 24hrs later he told me he’s meeting up with friends and would be back at 11:30 pm and sent me $100 to “forget it”. Well at 10 I arrived back at our place after being at my parents with our toddler and at 11pm, instead of Coming home he headed to downtown without telling me anything. (We both mutually have eachothers location). I didn’t say a word to him all day, didn’t bug him, and didn’t spam him or anything. I decided it was time for me to pack up my things and head back to my parents house because I felt as though I was done, that it was the last straw. I was upset and frustrated and his mom was also texting me worried about him because he’s gotten himself into bad situations in the past this exact same way. Fast forward to 3:30 am and he turns his location off and at that point I am fuming. I start changing my socials because I felt very DONE. I had followed one person he had made me unfollow because I told him in the beginning of our relationship that him and I had a small thing in the 8th freaking grade and he told me to unfollow. So I did, but that night I decided to re follow him because I was planning on making my socials the way they used to be and this is just where I happened to start. I calmed down and soon enough felt dumb for being so emotional and doing all of that and just decided to sleep on it and see what the next day will bring. Well fast forward, he saw that I followed the one guy and then decided right then and there that he was done with me. That this was all my fault, that I had different intentions and he told me he “knew “ I was this person for our entire marriage. I apologized all day long because I agree that what I did was wrong and an emotional mistake and told him I was deserving of more compassion because I’ve given him lots in our relationship. He said he could never forget what I did and that I put the nail in my own coffin. We have been talking about our daughter over text and will slip into conversation about where we stand and one minute he says he needs time and the next he says he’s so done with me. Well today he told me to shut the fuck up and that is fucking disgusting for doing what I did. I understand that what I did crossed a line with him but I feel that what I did wasn’t infidelity and I’m not this disgusting person he thinks I am. I’m heartbroken and lost over it and am hating myself for doing it but I am not the only one who made mistakes. And he’s treating me like I had sex with another man. Please if you have any advice that would be great

I don't know when it started.
I'm almost an adult, and I've only just sort of come to the conclusion that my family is, in laymen's terms, in shambles. I don't know when it started. Maybe when I was six, and being yelled at by my father for crying (which was caused by being yelled at), the words "stop fucking crying all the time" engraved in my head. Or when I was 10, and being told my anxiety and panic attacks were just "embarrassment" and I needed to suck it up. Perhaps when I was 14, and my parents told me all the things they didn't like about me over dinner as though they were talking about the weather. I don't know how I never realised it.
Maybe it was childish hope. Maybe I just thought that, if I worked hard enough in school and avoided yelling back at them that everything would be okay, and they would make up like they used to. But of course, life could never be that simple.
My sister's never home. I don't blame her, really. If I could drive, away from the arguing and cold shoulders, I would take that chance in a heartbeat. They're terrified of her moving out. I sometimes wonder if they're scared I'll leave when I can, or if they're counting down the days. My parents argue so much more now than they used to. Sometimes it's about me, about my dad screaming at me over something minor, and I put my headphones in to try and shut out the wash of guilt. I think they would have split by now, if they had the energy to.
I can't talk to anyone about this seriously. I end up either making jokes or shutting up entirely, not wanting to drag down the mood. I mean, what can you really say when your family is falling apart, but not quite enough for sympathy. When they argue and make the house hellish to live in, but they don't get physical and they take interest in you enough that you're just seen as a whiny, privileged asshole.
I keep waiting for things to change, for my sister to be home and my parents to look at each other with care rather than annoyance, and for us all to sit and talk and laugh like we used to when we were kids. But it'll never happen. Because I'm a kid from a home with a crack down the centre, but no split to make it broken.

hi everyone.. i am visiting san francisco and decided to check out the filbert steps
about a quarter way up, my fear of heights kicked in and I had to lower myself to the ground and literally crawl up the rest of the way, it was super embarrassing
normally I am afraid of heights when I'm not locked in or restrained, and san francisco while beautiful is like walking around in a nightmare for me

I am having issues with an old Kodak camera (1999). It is stuck on the blue and yellow screen that just has the version and website information. That website no longer exists and the user manual as well has been taken down sometime ago. I can't find much information online either
I haven't tried much yet, since I know next to nothing about cameras. I've replaced the batteries and tried taking them out a couple times. I've pressed every button on the camera and there was no response, it turns on but it's stuck on the screen
