2023.03.26 00:15 ylenias Karl-Heinz Groß was found heavily injured on a desolate street on a cold evening 25 years ago, while on tour with his brother's music group, far away from home. What happened to him?
Karl-Heinz Groß was 39 years old and the manager of the traditional folk music group Kastelruther Spatzen, a very successful group in that genre from Kastelruth, South Tyrol. His brother, Albin Groß, is the group's keyboardist.
In March 1998, the group was on tour through Germany. On March 5, the band had a concert in Magdeburg in eastern Germany. The next day, the band travelled to Essen in western Germany for the next stop of their tour. Karl-Heinz stayed back in Magdeburg with one of the vans the group used to carry their equipment and merchandise.
At 10 AM, he stopped by in an auto repair shop in an industrial area in the north of the city, close to the city's port. He was hoping to get the car repaired as quickly as possible, so he could join the rest of the group in Essen before the beginning of the concert. However, it quickly became apparent that the issue would take more time to fix than anticipated.
Karl-Heinz, who had previously been working as a bus driver and thus knew some things about cars and was always very adamant that things had to be done his way, became agitated when he felt that the mechanics didn't correctly identify the issue the car had and started arguing with them. At around 4:30 PM, he calls his brother in Essen and tells him that he won't be making it to the concert and that he will join them for the next concert in Glauchau, the following day.
At 4:45 PM, he leaves the car shop without telling anyone where he was going. What he does and where he goes in the next 90 minutes is unknown. At 6:15 PM, about 2 kilometers away from the car shop, a truck driver going over the Steinkopfinsel, an island in the middle of the city's port, finds a man lying on the street in front of him. He's heavily injured and bleeding.
Since it's almost freezing temperatures and it's raining, the driver covers the man up with a blanket and calls an ambulance. The man is quickly identified as Karl-Heinz Groß from the ID in his purse. He is rushed to the hospital. Despite immediately getting help and an emergency surgery being performed, Karl-Heinz Groß passes away the same evening at 11 PM from his injuries.
Investigators quickly rule out a robbery gone wrong since the victim's valuables, including cash, a mobile phone and jewellery, were still on his person. They also rule out the possibility that an accident, perhaps caused by a heavy truck, as the sole cause of death, though some of the injuries in the torso area are consistent with the body being rolled over or squashed by a heavy vehicle. However, Karl-Heinz also sustained injuries to the head consistent with blunt force trauma. He had no defensive wounds on his hands or arms.
Police also quickly suspect that Karl-Heinz was not killed where he was found, as his clothes and shoes would have had to be more muddy and wet than they were. Due to the street's remote location, there were no witnesses. As this was in the 1990s, not too long after German reunification, most factories on the island were ruins. The port was the only business in operation at the time. This makes it more unlikely that Karl-Heinz went there by himself, as he had no reason to be there.
Police look into the mechanics at the car shop with whom Karl-Heinz had fought and searches the shop, but ultimately find no evidence connecting them to the crime. Over the years, hundreds of people are questioned with about five suspects being looked into specifically, but ultimately all of them are ruled out. Forensic scientists are able to garner DNA evidence from the victim's jacket but find no match.

For context: My tribemates are taking some days off to do RL stuff and I decided to prepare some stuff as a little surprise for them to return to. We (especially me) are rather new to the game and have made ourselves a cute little homebase on Lost Island. Think Stone house, Dino Pen, a few tames but no breeding or advanced weaponry.
Anyways, I managed to tame a 140 Dinopithecus - Rafiki (I know, creative) - this week and have been having a blast with my new monkey friend since his agility and damage output just clicked with me. Farming meat and hide or just slaughtering everything on my screen without worries just feels right. Today however, he decided to be a huge PITA. So much so, that from now on he carries the name "Stupid monkey".
One of my surprises was taming a few bodyguards for our shoulderpets and Dung Beetles that we keep in a rather unsafe enclosure. I managed to find two high level Carnos that would work nicely and lured them into my trap. Just before the second one tamed up, a Terror Bird attacked me from outside the trap. Rafiki, being the good (neutral) boy that he is, naturally went ahead and clapped its cheeks into oblivion. A few seconds later, the Carno tamed up as a 163. I was confused since I had given the finest of Prime Meat to enjoy and expected something in the low 200s.
Turns out Rafikis huge arms bitchslapped the Carno aswell and we're stuck with only one 200+ bodyguard.
But: Forgive and forget, right? Wrong! You see, my biggest plan for today was taming a Tapejara. Why? Because I love how they look and I heard that they're pretty quick and can carry up to three people (which is awesome in a 4 people tribe). However, after not finding any of them near ground all day, I gave up and tamed a few more Raptors in hopes of finding a good one to breed with. And right when I wanted to return home to log off for the night, the most beautiful Tapejara appeared. It had a light blue body and really nice contrasts on its wings.
No matter the level, I had to have it. It would be the perfect surprise.
It was a 140.
Quick.. go home.. get Rafiki.. get Bolas.. return..
When I arrived it had just started wandering around on the ground and minding its business. After the most beautiful long-range Bola and a few Tranqs, it laid before me in all its glory, waiting to be ours. To my delight, a low level Alpha Raptor showed up, willing to donate a few pieces of its body to my cause. Rafiki made quick work of it and we returned to our new family member.
I open my inventory and start typing..
P-R-I-
Something damages me, but I remember that it can only be some random bugs.. I'll take care of it in a second. I only took a few points of damage.

Alright, everything is ready, time to press "yes" and get the taming star-

Hello all. To preface, my friend (we will call her Lisa) have been friends ever since high school. We became friends because we were both being cheated on by the same guy. We decided to become friends and kick that guy to the curb and have been close ever since. In retrospect, I can see how this friendship has been more of a trauma bond. But nonetheless, I have never been closer to anyone in life. We finish each other’s sentences, have had the most fun together that I’ve ever had, and have been through a lot together. We always joked and said we were soul mates. Now that we’re both older and life is taking us in other directions, I am more triggered by her than anything.
After my first boyfriend (the one that was seeing both me and Lisa) I got another boyfriend a few years later. We can call him Kane. Kane told me that he was going on a trip to NY to visit family, but what really happened is that he left, and never came back. That was his easy way out of our relationship. I only found out because I saw a picture of him and the girl he left me for (we will call her Alice). It devastated me. It triggered me in such a profound way, that I became too depressed to work, and I ended up losing everything. My apartment, my car, and my job. For about 3 years after that, I struggled. When my depression over this man started to disappear, I just settled into my new identity that felt worthless and bummy.
Fast forward. I find out randomly one day that Lisa and Kane slept together on a drunken night years back and I never knew. It is still unclear when exactly this happened because they both have conflicting stories. I was angry for awhile. But ended up forgiving her because I did not want to lose my only friend. This was stupid of me, but I figured this happened so long ago I might as well let it go. Wrong. Typing this out I am realizing whatever justification I came up with for this isn’t good enough.
After numerous talks, and numerous apologies and validation from her, we have kinda settled into a good place. But I just saw on Instagram that she denied coming to my little get together with friends last night because she was actually going to a different one- with the girl my ex left me for.
I’m really triggered by this. It seems like they have all moved on, have found fun friendships in each other, but I have no friends and no life really outside of work and school. It makes me feel worthless. I don’t know why I struggle to make friends that I connect with, but the people who have triggered such dark times in my life have seemingly great lives.
I am in a new loving relationship now, my life is stable, I’m no longer in that dark place I once was, and I genuinely have no feelings for my ex anymore. But still, seeing my only close friend finding a community with them guts me and reminds me of how bad I was hurting during that time. I can’t help but think that there is something wrong with me.
She is with a new bf that she is really happy with. Of course, he is close friends with the girl my ex left me for as well. They’re also all apart of an artsy community. So it’s looking like eventually her life would be much easier without having to dodge certain people to appease me, which I certainly don’t want to force her to do. But eh. Still hurts feeling like my friend who I love dearly does not think our friendship is worth not being friends with these people.
Not sure what I’m looking for. Advice is welcome.

I took down hedges around my property last year since most of it was dying from the previous owner’s lack of care. I put up a PVC fence but now my neighbors can see into my backyard when they are on their deck.
I only plan on being in this house for ~5 more years so a local landscaper recommend six Cleveland select pear trees for privacy. Three on one side of the yard and three on the other side. He would get ~12ft tall, 2.5-3” caliper. He quoted me $4,300 including labor. I’m on Long Island, NY.
Thoughts?

Someone debate me on this (potential spoilers ahead)
I’m currently doing a rewatch of the show and stalking this sub to relive everything. And while a lot of people love Brooke, I must say, I’ve been surprised by the amount of posts talking about what a terrible friend Brooke is.
From what I’ve seen, Brooke puts the most amount of effort into her friendships when compared with Peyton and Haley. Yes, she’s done some terrible things as well (like making fun of Peyton’s mom’s death), but Brooke is a very extreme person - her high’s are HIGH and her lows are LOW. And in my opinion, Peyton has gone pretty low as well like punching Brooke in the face and giving her a black eye, tackling her to the floor, telling her “you’re dead to me”, etc. However, Peyton has never done anything as thoughtful for Brooke as Brooke has done for her, which makes me see Brooke as the overall better friend. Some examples:
So Brooke slept with Nathan when he and Peyton were broken up. This isn’t a huge deal to me since Nathan and Peyton’s relationship was extremely toxic and it was obvious that it wouldn’t last. They clearly didn’t love each other. What Brooke did was still very fucked up, but Peyton had an ongoing affair with Lucas while KNOWING that Brooke was in LOVE with him. That’s far worse in my opinion.
People on this sub also love to say that Brooke stole Lucas from Peyton in season 1 because she went after him, even knowing that Peyton had feeling for him. I call BS on this. Brooke was the very first person who showed interest in Lucas by calling him hot, telling Peyton MULTIPLE times that she wanted him. Sure, Brooke may have been aware that Peyton liked him too because of all the longing looks between her and Lucas, but that was IT. There was no other indication that Peyton liked him. Brooke practically came out and said “I really like Lucas, so if you like him too, please tell me and I’ll back off.” But Peyton didn’t say a word so that’s when Brooke tried pushing her towards Nathan again.
People still say, “well Brooke was aware that Peyton and Lucas had something so she should have backed off”. But you could say the same for Peyton! They both really liked him so why should Brooke be the only one to back off if Peyton wasn’t going to do anything about it? Why shouldn’t Peyton have been the one to back off and let Brooke have him? It’s a murky situation for sure, but I can’t really say Brooke was in the wrong here because she really liked Lucas too. Why should she sacrifice her happiness if Peyton kept saying that she didn’t like him?
And after Peyton was assaulted the second time by fake Derrick, Brooke spent every night with her and did what she could to make her feel comfortable at home. But after Brooke was assaulted in S6, Peyton moved out the very next day because she wanted to go be happy with Lucas.
The only time Peyton has ever really done nice grand gestures for Brooke is when she’s trying to get into her good graces again right after she cheated with Lucas (like helping her win the cheerleading contest and signing over her artwork for Clothes over Bros). So these don’t really count for much.
And don’t even get me started by saying that Peyton was just trying to be honest by telling Brooke that she had feelings for Luke the second time. Peyton had already kissed Luke and told him she loved him by this point, yet Peyton neglected to mention it. Where was the honesty then??
In conclusion, the one and only really terrible thing Brooke did to Peyton is making fun of her mom’s death. I am not by any means making light of this or trying to excuse it. However, Brooke also went above and beyond in the other facets of their friendship, and she put more effort in than Peyton. Additionally, Peyton went almost as low as Brooke in other ways.
I’m not saying Peyton was a terrible friend by any means. I actually like Peyton too. But if we’re comparing who was the better friend, I think it’s Brooke hands down. Thoughts?

- Dropped everything and moved back to Tree Hill the second Peyton called her (yes, Brooke wasn’t happy in NY, but still. She didn’t make the move until Peyton said she wanted to move back)
- After Peyton’s mom died, Peyton said that Brooke spent every day with her for a long, long time and never let her be alone
- Organized an entire scavenger hunt for Haley and Nathan’s first date. Again, Brooke’s grand gestures are always shown as no big deal in the show, but honestly think about how long something like this would take to set up!
- Immediately broke up with Felix and cut him off after he called Peyton a “dyke”. She hated him so much for doing that, she never even missed him for a second
- Organized Haley’s entire wedding and bachelorette party
- Wrote Lucas a letter every single day for 3 months when they were apart

Why should she sacrifice her happiness if Peyton kept saying that she didn’t like him?
And after Peyton was assaulted the second time by fake Derrick, Brooke spent every night with her and did what she could to make her feel comfortable at home. But after Brooke was assaulted in S6, Peyton moved out the very next day because she wanted to go be happy with Lucas.
The only time Peyton has ever really done nice grand gestures for Brooke is when she’s trying to get into her good graces again right after she cheated with Lucas (like helping her win the cheerleading contest and signing over her artwork for Clothes over Bros). So these don’t really count for much.
And don’t even get me started by saying that Peyton was just trying to be honest by telling Brooke that she had feelings for Luke the second time. Peyton had already kissed Luke and told him she loved him by this point, yet Peyton neglected to mention it. Where was the honesty then??
In conclusion, the one and only really terrible thing Brooke did to Peyton is making fun of her mom’s death. I am not by any means making light of this or trying to excuse it. However, Brooke also went above and beyond in the other facets of their friendship, and she put more effort in than Peyton. Additionally, Peyton went almost as low as Brooke in other ways.
I’m not saying Peyton was a terrible friend by any means. I actually like Peyton too. But if we’re comparing who was the better friend, I think it’s Brooke hands down. Thoughts?

TL;DR - Summary
All of the reasons that people are saying that the lost to Shanks is taking Kid out of the race are the same losses that Luffy has taken over the course of the series. The loss of their ship and the crew being eradicated only made the Straw Hats stronger, and I think the wording being the exact same from the Narrator should not be ignored or taken as a sign that Kid is out of the race. It's simply far too on the nose to be used as a throwaway line of Kid's defeat. I believe the Underworld works out of Elbaf, and this sets Kid up through his Underworld connections to build a new ship of Adam wood just like the Straw Hats. Shanks leaving Elbaf also clears a path for Kid to still be the main villain of Elbaf. The Kid Pirates will come back stronger.Comparisons to Luffy's losses
Kid just got one shotted in a fashion I have rarely seen in any series. If Kid is your favorite character, I honestly feel bad. I wouldn't describe myself as a Kid fan, but this is still a character that I believe serves a larger purpose in the story than getting turned into scrap metal by Shanks. I just don't think Oda would have this character moved along throughout the story for 15 years just to make Shanks look good. Shanks doesn't need that to look good, they literally made a whole movie for this dude lol.I think what we're seeing for Kid is a series of defeats very similar to Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates that will make him actually strong enough to be a rival to Luffy. Obviously he's going to lose in the end, Luffy is going to be Pirate King. But I just couldn't disagree more with the people saying Oda is just cutting the fat to get to the finish line as fast as possible. I have more faith in his ability as an author than that, and I don't think disliking a character means that their narrative purpose has been served whenever they're done helping Luffy look good.
Like I referred to in the title, I think Luffy and Kid's greatest defeats are mirroring each other until they eventually square off.
Loss of their beloved ship
I see a bunch of people saying Kid has to be out of the race for the One Piece, just look at their ship. How can they possibly get to the finish line first? Well, let's ask Luffy the same thing. Did Luffy's journey end when the Going Merry passed away? Nope. They rebuilt and kept going, with the Merry carrying them as long as she could.
Losing a ship does not mean the end of the journey.
Kid's ship, the Victoria Punk, is named after his old friend and childhood crush who died when he was young. People think that because this is something Oda elaborated on in the SBS it's proof that he doesn't care about the character and is just trying to get it out of the way and move on. I disagree. I think he's building up the emotional connection that almost surely exists in them naming the ship after her. And while it's surely a tough loss, Luffy's crew is proof that you can absolutely rebuild. Loss of a ship is not the end of the journey.
I'll even take it a step further; I wouldn't be surprised if the Klaubterman for the Victoria Punk in some way has Victoria's spirit.
People say Kid has to be doomed because he sunk in the water with no ship or back up around to help them. But is this not exactly what happened to the Straw Hats at Enies Lobby? How were the Straw Hats supposed to escape from Enies Lobby? Well... by the end, they weren't. They were doomed, but Merry used the last bit of her spirit to save them with a little help from Iceburg. I don't think it would be a huge leap for the Victoria Punk to save the Kid Pirates and get them to safety.
We've seen ships do crazier things.
Death of a childhood friend
Victoria Shiruton Doruyanaika was Kid and Killer's childhood friend who was killed by a rival gang in their home country. As stated by Oda in the SBS:Q: Is there a reason why Kid and Killer became pirates? And what’s the story behind Heat and Wire joining them?I don't have to tell you about Luffy's childhood friends dying. Frankly, take your pick. Either Sabo being "killed" when he set sail from Foosha Village or Ace dying in Luffy's arms.
Oda: Of course there’s a story. These four were born on a certain island in South Blue, Kid and Killer knew each other since they were kids. The country they live in is not allied with the WG, and a gang ruled the country as if they’re royalties. There’re 4 districts on the island, each of them have their own outlaw group, and the 4 leaders are Kid, Killer, Heat and Wire. There were conflicts every single day.
One day, Kid’s close friend was killed by the gang, her name was “Victoria S Doruyanaika”(Kid and Killer’s crush revealed in previous sbs). Kid, in his rage, united the four group and took down the mightiest force in the country, the gang.
“I don’t want to stay in a closed world like this!” And like that he took his friends and form a pirate crew with them, naming their ship “Victoria Punk”.
What I found pretty interesting though is that the mindset of why Kid decided to set sail is very similar to Sabo, just living the opposite life.
I'm sure there are stories like this across a bunch of pirates in the story, I just think there's a pretty clear parallel in why Luffy and Kid both set sail. And it was largely inspired by the death of a childhood friend.
Getting absolutely dunked on by a Yonkou
Kid got absolutely destroyed by Shanks. But I don't see how it's any different than Luffy getting one shotted by Kaido. If anybody is in line for Haki blooming, it's Kid with the amount of shit he gets himself in.It's a tough blow, but it can just as easily be a learning experience like Luffy's first loss (and second... and third... and fourth...) was to Kaido.
Eradicated
Some people are saying that this has to take Kid out of the race because the Narrator came through and said that the crew was eradicated. There are even people using that as an argument to say he's dead (seriously what series are you guys reading who believe this). If the narrator coming in and saying that a crew is eradicated is proof that they are dead or out of the running for One Piece, somebody should really tell Luffy and the crew that they've been dead for the last two years.
The Straw Hats were eradicated on Sabaody Archipelago, and it wasn't until the following chapters when we learned what that meant. They took the ultimate loss.
There is no chance that a call back this direct is not on purpose. I'll use this to link back to a previous post I made pointing out the many parallels of Egghead Island to Sabaody Archipelago and Post Enies Lobby. Add yet another connection and proof of the validity of that analysis.
Kid is down, but he's not out
Kid is in about as bad a spot as we've seen a character, but I don't see how this eliminates him in the story. All of the reasons that people are saying this eliminates Kid from being a factor in the story are things that we've seen happen to the Straw Hats. Like people who are saying that he's out because he no longer has a ship, if that was the case Luffy's journey would have ended ages ago. I would argue that the Adam Tree is from Elbaf to begin with, being near Elbaf would put him right in position to get a ship upgrade. I think we have pretty solid information suggesting that the Underworld operation going on throughout the One Piece world traces to Elbaf (for example, Mother Carmel's operation).The Underworld headquarters is ran out of Elbaf
Like I pointed out, I think we can tie a large portion of the Underworld market in One Piece to Elbaf and I think that will be the main portion of conflict in that arc when we finally get there. Where else would be better to run a secretive operation outside of the eyes of the Marines than a secluded society filled with monsters that nobody wants to mess with? Just look at what Cipher Pol said to Mother Carmel after Big Mom killed Jorul
They never thought she would leave Elbaf.
Why would they think that this character who has been working for the Underworld for decades wouldn't leave Elbaf... unless Elbaf is the home of the Underworld? It puts the market for her activities right next to her. Not to mention Franky engaging in Underworld activities before he became a Straw Hat. This was how he was able to buy Adam wood with the money he stole from the Straw Hats before becoming their friend.
To this day we still have so much mystery surrounding the Underworld operations that Doflamingo was so tied up in.
And while Kid isn't a Broker, we did learn in Punk Hazard that he was connected with the Underworld and aware of the going ons. I wouldn't be surprised if this is how he knows who the man with the burn scar is to begin with.
Kid has some knowledge of the Underworld that we still need to learn as an audience and as the Straw Hat crew.
Why did Oda make Kid a Conqueror?
This is a question that I've asked in pretty much every discussion of Kid since it was revealed that Kid and Shanks were on Elbaf together. One Piece is a story written by an author, and that author makes decisions for what will close out certain narratives. That's how storytelling works. So the question I ask people who think that Kid will serve no more importance; Why did Oda make Kid a Conqueror?
The group of known Conquerors in One Piece is incredibly short.
People have suggested that Kid has Conqueror's Haki because it would boost his resume and make Shanks look good. And I truly do not understand this argument at all. If that was truly Kid's role in the story, he doesn't need Conqueror's Haki in order to serve that purpose. If Law went to Elbaf instead of Kid and got one shotted by Shanks, I doubt anybody would be sitting here saying "yeah that's cool, but Law isn't a Conqueror so it's not that impressive." Because that would be silly. Oda could have made Kid as good with his Devil Fruit as Law is and it still would have shown just how strong Shanks is whether he was a Conqueror or not.
Kid did not even use Conqueror's in the fight with Big Mom. Excluding the anime, all we have is Kaido telling us that Kid is a Conqueror and nothing else. So again, why did Oda add this at all? This isn't like Armament Haki where everybody and their mother has it at this point, this is a very exclusive group of characters. And being Conquerors serves a very in your face narrative purpose for almost all of these characters, with the rest still having future roles to play in the story.
- Shanks - Doesn't need to be explained
- Luffy - Really doesn't need to be explained
- Rayleigh - Right hand of the Pirate King, the Dark King himself, and Luffy's mentor on his path to being the Pirate King
- Hancock - Oda could have easily had Hancock be captured and turned into a slave again, but that hasn't happened as far as the story stands now. I don't know what her role will be now that she's left Amazon Lily looking for Luffy, but her strong will power was shown when she faced Blackbeard with no fear
- Doflamingo - A man who desires to tear down the entire Holy Land with knowledge of the National Treasure and controlled the entire Underworld of the One Piece world
- Don Chinjao - A gatekeeper of the old age of One Piece as a combatant of Garp, and Luffy's baptism into combat on the highest level in the New World
- Big Mom - a Yonkou, self explanatory
- Katakuri - The gatekeeper between Luffy and breaking the billion berry benchmark, and the person who gave Luffy the respect of eventually being able to beat a Yonkou (will you come back and defeat Big Mom)
- Sengoku - Fleet Admiral and an Admiral during the days of Roger and Whitebeard
- Kaido - a Yonkou, self explanatory
- Zoro - desires to be the greatest swordsman
- Yamato - future role still pretty up in the air post Wano, but is the child of one of the greatest Conquerors and desires to be Oden. Also the guardian of Wano next to Momonosuke (who will probably also have Conquerors by the end of the story, but that's speculation)
- Whitebeard - 2nd to the throne
- Ace - Ace died before ever truly reaching his potential, but his lived with the desires to make Whitebeard the King of the Pirates and is the son of the Pirate King
- Oden - Shogun of Wano and the central point of the entire saga of arcs that put us in Wano to begin with
- Gol D. Roger - King of the Pirates
If I die now, what was the point of my whole pirating career?
Conclusion
I think we're seeing the path clear for Kid to be the antagonist of Elbaf, even with as shaky as it looks for now. We can pretty confidently say Shanks is not going to be on Elbaf, that possibility was erased last chapter. Blackbeard probably has to get ready for war with Garp. Big Mom is definitely still a possibility, but she has much bigger issues to actually gather her crew first and get to Elbaf (including rescuing Pudding). I think Kid will come back having gone through the same growth that Luffy went through in the Udon mines and by the time Luffy gets to Elbaf, Kid will actually be strong enough to be his rival.Kid has not served his entire narrative purpose. And because of that, I'm keeping my Kid stocks. I would advise you all to not sell just yet.

I will turn 64 in a week. I grew up on Long Island, New York - just like millions of others. My father had no use for music in his life. It just didn't have an effect on him, at all. There are those like that. My mother loved listening to music. We had a beautiful console stereo in our living room and she had plenty of Lp's - many of which I have today. In addition, whenever we were in the car, my mother was sure to have WTFM on the radio. I worked in my father's German Deli when I was a teenager and I'm pretty sure that WTFM was tuned to there as well. So, I had much exposure to this kind of music before I came of age. For those who are not aware, the music is mostly orchestral, instrumental covers of whatever was playing on top 40 radio and Movie themes. The major players were Percy Faith and His Orchestra, Frank Chacksfield, Andre Kostalanetz, and Hanry Mancini. I have Spotify, which I love, and I was just looking for something different and thought about re-visiting Easy Listening music. Oh my, the memories flooded back and now I've created an Easy Listening playlist. I have so enjoyed listening to this music. The melodies are beautiful, the recording quality is usually great and the soaring strings are a joy to behold!

Sorry for another "should I move?" post. I'm a single 35M on SSDI currently on parole in Albany, NY, unfortunately for a violent offense committed while unmedicated and homeless. I have a criminal record from episodes of unmedicated severe mental illness. I'm originally from Southern California but spent many years in Texas, mostly in Dallas but a little bit in Austin. I've also lived in the Bay Area for a bit, and Long Beach for about two years. I used to have a Class B CDL and did a lot of work in Oklahoma, frequently in Tulsa and surrounding towns... this was all over five years ago, so I'm sure the city has changed a bit. Through my old jobs I've seen most of the US. Anyways, I really dislike Albany and hope to move away from the Northeast, possibly live somewhere closer to family in DFW but not be in Texas.
Family would like to help me possibly buy a house for around 150k. I'm Jay, 18M. So, for starters, i'm probably going to be homeless by the 1st. I'll explain how I got here.
I am not the primary income holder for the household and neither is my mother, her boyfriend is. Like a lot of people, he lost his job due to the pandemic and during that time because of his loss of income, we were unable to pay rent and since then he has gotten jobs, lost jobs, gotten jobs, lost them and got them again. Initially the issue started from the pandemic and quickly became about her boyfriend simply being an idiot and changing jobs as often as you change pants because there's always something he doesn't like about a job and wants to leave and find something else.
Well, recently, he did that same thing again when we were slightly* stable, and this time our landlord had enough with us not giving rent. We (more like they) owe the landlord over $15k in rent and so the landlord, like the very patient and tolerant woman she is, told us we didn't have to pay rent this month and she would NOT be evicting us as long as we vacate by April 1st and agreed to a payment plan to pay the rent back, we were told this last month. We are now about a week away from being homeless and so far haven't found any place to live due to credit (not mine) and not enough money for the ridiculous fees and desposits that are being required to move into a shitty ass apartment in our area (westchester ny). We've contacted relatives about temporary shelter, a no-go. Since the pandemic we've contacted and applied for section 8, emergency housing, welfare, basically every agency that could possibly help and we were denied every time.
Now you might be thinking, "OP, why don't you get off your ass and get a good paying job and contribute more to the household funds?!" I would do that if I was mentally and physically stable enough, but i'm not. I've been receiving SSI since I was 14 for my disabilities and of course as of July 2022 when I turned 18 they cut my check by almost $400, yes we fought and we lost.
Cherry on top, recently an employer reported false wages to my social security number and we called, they sent me a letter to sign which tells them I never worked or earned any wages everything seemed all set until this month I received a letter stating they were going to be taking almost $100 out of my check every month until my "overpayment" is paid off. I called, they claimed that they have no record of me speaking to any agent or them sending me any letter to sign or them ever recieving the signed letter and told me I needed to reappeal. So I reappealed, that was almost 2 weeks ago and I haven't gotten any call or letter from anyone at Social Security. So I plan on going to SS on Monday and probably fight with an employee and try not to have a stroke while doing so. My mother is also disabled and receives SSDI, well not anymore I guess, because yes, another cherry on top, they decided that they aren't going to give her anymore payments and now no longer has access to medicare and medicaid. That's what the letter we got today stated, with no explanation as to why of course.
Triple cherry on top, my therapist and case worker have been extremely unsupportive and seem to have literally no idea how to help me in this situation even though helping me, especially in situations like this, is literally their jobs. My therapist has gotten significantly worse over the years I barely speak to her anymore, she ghosts me, schedules appointments and never calls and her excuses are either her phone got wet and stopped working (??), she lost her phone, she went out or on vacation and didn't have good service (???), or her previous one that really baffled me; her birthday was coming up (the next week) and her coworkers wanted to celebrate and take her out in advance and so she decided that was a good enough reason to cancel a therapy session with her very clearly struggling and distraught very MENTALLY ILL patient. It's so disappointing, cause initially she was the best therapist I'd ever had and now when I need her the most she's unable to do her job. And my case worker, she's really sweet but virtually useless.
Last June of 2022, I graduated highschool a year early as Valedictorian and I genuinely believed that things would go well from there after the hell I had been through in the school system and the trauma and abuse of my childhood, but I was wrong, so wrong.
This isn't everything but just what I could write out right now.

I want to create an open world for my game. I imagine an island with rough waters. My biggest inspiration is Iceland.
I found a tutorial series about procedural landmass generation from Sebastian Lague that I find very interesting. I think this would be a nice starting point to create a random island in a specific size and customize further from this point. Add the details that I like to not create a totally random world.

this is a long post containing notes i have made over the last year or so about how and why eren does the things he does in attack on titan. i’ve never really used reddit before but it seemed like a good place to post something like this.
of course, this is my interpretation of his personality with a fair few of my own opinions about it, so you may disagree with me there, but if there is something regarding the actual plot events i have gotten wrong, please correct me!
(also despite this post containing manga spoilers, i often refer to events by their season in the anime because i’ve only read the manga for the war for paradis arc)
firstly, an overview of how eren uses the attack titan's memory sending ability (and related events to this)
eren only saw the entire memory of grisha (when he got the attack titan from kruger) in a dream after seeing the books from the basement, bc the info in the books prompted it
- side note: kruger says about the attack titan “No matter which era this Titan has found itself in, it has pushed ever forward, seeking out freedom. For the sake of freedom, it fights.” this need for freedom in the attack titan in all generations comes from EREN
when eren touches zeke to initiate the rumbling, he sees the past, present and future through paths simultaneously as he has activated the founding titan and it’s very confusing + overwhelming for him to experience.
it is at this point he finds out he won’t succeed in the rumbling. previously when touching historia’s hand he only saw memories of the rumbling up until its peak of freedom (freedom panel), because this was the memory he sends back to grisha for himself to see.
eren is now connected to paths by the founding titan, and zeke takes them through grisha’s past, thinking he’ll show eren how grisha brainwashed him.
eren manipulates his dad by sending memories of him telling him what to do (and memories trying to show the necessity of eren being a titan) into injecting his 10 year old self with the serum so he can eat his dad and inherit the attack titan
eren also manipulates dina’s titan to eat his mom and not bertholdt because he needs bertholdt alive for the events to happen that get him to the rumbling
side note: eren cries in chapter 1 when he’s woken up because he has just dreamt about all of this (though he doesn’t remember the dream, as we often forget dreams instantly after awakening)
and now the longer part of this post- the analysis of his character and his motivations
eren is a childish and emotional character who is so caught up in his corrupted desire and his black and white view of the world, that even when he saw that people beyond the walls weren’t evil, he was still chained to this desire and an inevitable future. eren is not a good person because in the end all of this destruction/death happened because of his inherent need for freedom and to fight for it. he is an anti hero and while we cannot support what he did objectively, we can empathise with how he felt and how he suffered. personally, i love his character, but that does not mean his actions were right or moral.
his main reasons for the rumbling were his own freedom and to give his friends long lives. he prioritised his few loved ones and his own distorted desires and emotions over billions of lives and that’s unforgivable. but it’s also understandable and he had his reasons. his desire for freedom is very linked to kenny saying we’re all a slave to something and we get drunk on that thing to keep pushing on. eren says he will keep moving forward (aka pushing on) to get freedom- it overwhelmed him and controlled him. he was consumed by it. it could be said that we all have the potential to be consumed by something that strong, we just have to hope it’s something better for us and the people around.
he didn’t actually know he would be stopped and killed in the rumbling until he got the power of the founding titan and then saw everything, past and future and present at the same time bc of the paths. and that’s when he realised his friends would stop him and he decided to make them the heroes after he dies. he knows that he’s the villain for doing it and he intends it this way, all hatred would be aimed at him only.
he hopes to rid the world of hatred by making himself the sole enemy that everyone could unite against and then making the world owe paradis bc their soldiers killed him (similar to how everyone in marley loved the tyburs).
he also did it to end the power of the titans as he knew ymir would only stop if she saw mikasa kill eren.
eren’s freedom was all about ridding the world of titans (and then when he’s older ridding the world of hatred that titans brought between eldians and the rest of the pop.) so he is able to see what was in armin’s book
then the titans were humans, and he fought them
and then it was the humans outside the walls - he found out they existed and the world wasn’t free for him to explore and go to (because civilisations were built and everyone hated eldians) like armin’s book as he wanted it to be- so he fought them.
he wanted (the freedom) to be able to go anywhere and see anything, without the civilisations there.
bc of all the civilisation built and the hatred towards paradis eren couldn’t do this
he acknowledges maybe it would be better if paradis were annihilated and eldians died out, bc less people would die, but he can’t accept this. he needs to be free.
i think s4 wasn’t him faking being sad and cold but him genuinely being cold and miserable. he was in a spiral of depression after his illusion of free will was taken by him having already seen the future where he activates the rumbling despite having met ppl outside the walls and seeing theyre the same as him (not enemies).
eren is presented as a child in the freedom panel to signify that he is achieving the freedom his younger self dreamed of, AND that he has reverted to this younger version of himself that is unaware of anything except a desire for freedom, in order to ignore the actual atrocity of what he’s doing and the ppl dying below him.
everything that did happen and the future he saw was bound to happen anyway bc of his ambition and personality. the whole attack on titan story itself debates nature vs nurture and the reality of free will, mainly through eren.
eren was blind to anything but his own views on the world and his own feelings about himself and the people he loved. he was rash and reckless and selfish and angry because he was so committed to the set notions he had about the world and himself and how strongly he held those. i personally hold my opinions and morals and viewpoints on the world in the highest regard (granted, mine don’t involve mass murder so eren uh that’s not great) so i can understand the intensity of eren’s viewpoint. he just happened to live in a world where his desire for freedom manifested in these actions.
a sad thing is that i think even if eren did do the entire rumbling and survived, he would at first be ecstatic and happy with his freedom, but then he’d get bored without something to fight for. for him, he lived to fight for freedom, and he’d be empty without it. this is evident in the school au isayama wrote where eren is completely bored and dreams of having an apocalyptic event where he could fight for freedom. eren needs to fight. he needs to “keep moving forward”, he needs to want something more.
he says when he’s talking to falco in that hospital that most ppl go to war bc others tell them to or for a better situation, but some go to war by pushing themselves to in search of greater meaning. they push themselves because of their inner drive to find what’s on the other side of the hell of fighting - hope or another hell. he believes that this is moving forward
the ironic thing is ppl say he changed too much in s4 but after what he found out in s3, it was the only way he could’ve gone bc his base desire and values and the things he cares abt have always been the same since he was a kid, he just found out more abt the world around him !
eren cares abt very few things but the amount he cares abt them is so intense he would quite literally do anything for it.
in conclusion, eren is probably one of the most tragic characters ever. he is my favourite attack on titan character and i of course wish he got to be happy, but i still find myself very satisfied with his character arc and ending because it made sense, and made for a brilliant story.

- most of this is fact, but some parts are based on inferences i/the community have made

then the titans were humans, and he fought them
and then it was the humans outside the walls - he found out they existed and the world wasn’t free for him to explore and go to (because civilisations were built and everyone hated eldians) like armin’s book as he wanted it to be- so he fought them.

- same with the cruelty of zeke’s euthanisation plan. that’s not freedom for them to go anywhere.

- this is why he asks what sasha’s last words were and when it’s what he saw in his memories he laughs bc he sees how inevitable everything is.
- he was begging for her to give him an out from the rumbling and to change the future. her telling him she loves him then and there is the ONLY thing that could’ve prevented the rumbling. if mikasa said she loved him then the rumbling would no longer have to be a fixed future, and eren could maybe be happy loving mikasa without killing everyone. maybe if she said she loved him, her love coi;d be more important than freedom.
- reiner confesses it was and that confirmed to eren they were the same as he was abt to kill the world for his own desire of freedom, not for the good of the eldian empire.
- it relates to how reiner after being in the walls became a “half assed piece of shit” bc he knew they weren’t devils and helped them sometimes, but still attacked them even tho it’s wrong.

eren cares abt very few things but the amount he cares abt them is so intense he would quite literally do anything for it.
in conclusion, eren is probably one of the most tragic characters ever. he is my favourite attack on titan character and i of course wish he got to be happy, but i still find myself very satisfied with his character arc and ending because it made sense, and made for a brilliant story.

 | Challenge (100 % Successful) : As many books as possible from existing TBR. submitted by Ykhare to Fantasy [link] [comments] Sometime I read up to half a dozen books or more that could have fit a square, for this card I selected the one I rated highest, and in case of ties the more obscure ones, guess they can use whatever tiny boost I can provide. If there was still a tie, the most original and ‘out there’ one won. Some squares had less or no competition though I could find at least a 3/5* read to fill each one. **LGBTQIA List (HM) : Armistice (The Amberlough Dossiers #2) - Lara Elena Donnelly 3.5/5*\* As in the first book, the overwhelming majority of characters are involved willingly or not in intelligence work or in the running of goods/people/information through unofficial channels, either for some form of government, political movement, or to line their own pockets or fulfill some other personal goal. The character work, politicking, double dealings and so on are still just as delicious, though maybe a bit lacking in speculative elements for my mood at the time I was reading it, as the only thing to place it on the SFF spectrum is the secondary world setting, in a WW2 analogue era. **Weird Ecology (HM) : Into the Rain (Phantasia #1) - M.U. Riyadad 3.5/5*\* YA Science-Fantasy. The protagonist's star system is progressively invaded by highly adaptive, assimilating aliens strongly reminiscent of WH40K Tyranids. As the story starts he and his associates are headed for their final exam (in the form of a survival/monster-slaying trip) to graduate from an academy for students gifted with MMORPG and superhero-flavored abilities, trained to fight against the invaders, and their own native critters should they be taken over by the aliens. He hopes to qualify for a tournament that would allow him to join an elite soldiers program with his best female friend, though the more things progress and take them through a variety of wondrous places, the more the organization sponsoring said program begins to take on shades of Final Fantasy 7's Shinra... **2+ Authors : Salt in the Water - J. Ray & S. Cushaway 4.5/5*\* Science-Fantasy, Shadowrun X Mad Max, on another planet. A very coveted resource can be found when and where some celestial bodies make landfall, but those have also had strange effects on the flora, fauna and sometime people nearby, similar to Shadowrun's Awakening. While cushy high-tech cyberpunk enclaves exist and not too subtly pull the strings in their areas of influence, the book is concerned with the dusty and thirsty struggles of characters who can only dream of ever accessing them. The main character is a nearly legendary scout, who has been able to carve out a place of more respect than granted most other meta-humans (he's an elf) in human desert settlements, but the mission he's sent on this time might prove his match. **Historical (HM) : The Sixteen Burdens - David Khalaf 4/5*\* YA Mystery in Alt-Golden Age Hollywood, if some of the most talented and famous people around were also secretly gifted with superhero-type abilities or knacks. The protagonist starts in a much more humble place, in a orphanage... of sorts. While the kids aren't encouraged to steal outright, there doesn't seem to be a lot of formal education involved, and they're definitely made to hustle. The young protagonist has developed an obsession that unwittingly puts him on the path of danger, and discovering information some people would rather remain hidden. **Set in Space (HM) : The Truth Beyond the Sky – Andrew M. Crusoe 3/5*\* Juvenile/YA Science-Fiction. Though he’s gone on to become an apparently successful and well-adjusted young profesionnal, the protagonist remains haunted by his mother’s unexplained disappearance several years ago. When he discovers a wondrous spaceship and its pilot temporarily stranded, he seizes the opportunity to go look for answers, go places, have adventures, meet a quite special girl, and possibly help quite a few people. Optimistic, fairly pleasant if a bit lightweight overall. **Standalone (HM) : Naheli’s Sacrifice – Rabea Scholz 4/5*\* YA Fantasy. When she was much younger, the protagonist performed a feat of magic, something rare enough to mark her to be groomed as a future willing sacrifice to the Goddess of the Sea, for the sake of her own secluded community of telepaths in their tower and the other ordinary people on the island. As the day looms near, some disquiet and lingering nostalgia for a lost love motivate her into a forbidden last visit with a long-time common friend. **Anti-Hero : The Ways of Khrem – D. Nathan Hilliard 4.5/5*\* Sword & Sorcery in a Lankhmar-esque urban setting. The protagonist, a successfully and comfortably retired thief, gets roped into helping with a few cases by an overeager young officer who has discovered his past. His intimate knowledge of the pathways in, above and below the city will prove quite valuable. Some ghosts from his past might still linger and maybe be finally confronted or put to rest. **Book Club : Grave Peril – Jim Butcher 3/5*\* Urban Fantasy. Still going on with the Dresden buddy read. It’s not… bad. But I could probably name a half-dozen UF series that are just as good or better and whose protagonist doesn’t make me want to club them over the head sometime. Boobs ? Yeah. Roughly one in two humans has them. Get over it. **Cool Weapon (HM) : Dark Siren – Katerina Martinez 4/5*\* Urban Fantasy. So our ‘cool weapon’ is a named, special photo camera, woohoo. Nicely polished UF with a bearable romance sub-plot, the female protagonist is competent and has her own supernatural thing going on, even if right now she needs help from her (maybe not so-) ex, with whom she stayed in refreshingly civil if distant terms. Slightly puzzled by the take on a supernatural creature that goes by a name associated with a fairly specific definition in past decades of table-top RPG lore, but this doesn’t seem to be quite what it is here. **Revolution/Rebellion (HM) : The City Darkens – Sophia Martin 5/5*\* Alt-pre/early WW2 analogue era, in an Europe that was mostly subjugated by nordic countries. The protagonist is a young woman in an arranged marriage. She doesn’t see her noble husband much as he seemed content until now to let her live with their young son on his estates. That changes quite abruptly as she is taken to the capital and strong-armed into being the highly visible and pliant wife at her husband’s arm that the new political climate she has yet to fully grasp apparently requires her to be. Initially in shock and with few other apparent choices but to adapt and outwardly submit, her determination to recover her son doesn’t waver and eventually leads her to juggle a quite interesting double life. **Name in the Title (HM) : The Devil and Preston Black – Jason Jack Miller 4/5*\* Appalachian contemporary magical realism. The story of a young musician circling down the drain, with or without supernatural help depending on how you interpret some events. **Initials (HM) : Leviathan Wakes – James S.A. Corey 4.5/5*\* SF/Space Opera. The ingredients are quite simple and not tremendously original, at face value, be it the characters, the prose or the plot, but the mix very successfully sucked me in. **Published in 2022 (HM) : A Touch of Light – Thiago Abdalla 3.5/5*\* Didn’t quite work for me. The POVs come from/through a carefully and interestingly described variety of backgrounds and situations, but from quite fairly early on the main points of their arcs all seem to blur together into establishing them as (or having them become) some form of magically enhanced badasses (all possibly ultimately linked to the same underlying source or cause, but with different manifestations). **Urban Fantasy (HM) : Love Song for a Vampire (Dale Bruyer #2) – J.L. Aarne 4.5/5*\* Queer (m/m) Urban Fantasy. A severely compromised monster hunter who now seems to see more of them on a daily basis than regular people (and on mostly peaceful terms), the protagonist is alerted to a situation developing in nearby New Orleans where someone seems to be handing out microdoses of vampire blood like candy, and nearly nobody wants that. Had fun with the gloriously wacky take on ‘Dracula in the modern world’ (no, he’s not the primary antagonist), but I suppose anyone overly attached to the classical picture of him should probably give this book a veeery wide berth. **Africa (HM) : The Rage of Dragons – Evan Winter 4/5*\* Heroic Fantasy in a not-Africa setting. Undergoing a Heroic Blue Screen of Death after the last of several grievous injustices hits particularly close, the average-guy protagonist swears to become enough of a badass to obtain vengeance from people placed well above him by their social station, training and inborn fighting abilities, and turns into The Determinator. Cue over-the-top training montage. Heh, it’s probably one of the finest examples I can think of if that’s what you’re looking for. **Non-Human : Moonlit Miles (Kris Grant #2) – Jon Kershner 4/5*\* Urban Fantasy. Having freshly ‘acquired’ the territory of a much older and nastier vampire in what to outsiders looks like it must have been an incredible stroke of luck, the fangy protagonist soon faces what looks suspiciously like the first probes and challenges from local contenders and possibly other powerful neighbors or visitors as well. **Timey-Wimey (HM) : The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August – Claire North 4.5/5*\* That one probably doesn’t need an introduction. It’s good. Not fast-paced, particularly flashy or action-heavy though, **Short stories (HM) : Outcasts – Nick Wisseman 3.5/5*\* OK, not particularly memorable. Preferred this author’s full-length novel The Red Wraith some years ago. **Mental Health (HM) : Amanojaku – Damien Lutz 4.5/5*\* Dark Cyberpunk thriller. An ex-con released through a program involving an implant to control violent urges, and now doing specialized maintenance work in the harder-to-reach corners of a very vertical (wretched) hive city, the protagonist comes to suspect with dismay his implant doesn’t dull just violence when an intriguing female android sparks his interest. Hitting some snags and delays in his plans for a much-desired change of scenery doesn’t help either. **Self-Published (HM) : Beneath the Fading Sun – Richard M. Ankers 4/5*\* An unlikely crossover between Vampire Hunter D. & Moorcock’s Dancers at the End of Time. Yes it works. Mostly. In a far future Earth left much darkened by a weakening Sun, vampire hybrids rule the world long after regular humans went extinct, toying with the remains of fantastical technology that they can’t comprehend or elaborate upon but that allow the more powerful among them who gained control of such artefacts to shape their surroundings nearly effortlessly (unfortunately, most of them have pretty tacky tastes and not a lot of imagination). The protagonist is one of the last born, and the few to rebel at their endless petty quarrels and their lack of interest in remedying their still far-off but inevitable doom, though for a while he is… fairly petty himself. Until a few events and things witnessed send him on a more focused path. **Runner-Up (HM) : The Path of Flames – Phil Tucker 4.5/5*\* In a sundered world whose dominant religion believes in reincarnation, and largely ties individuals’ intrinsic moral worth to where they were born, the protagonist Asho was given a rare opportunity to elevate himself and train to become a knight under the lord whose life his father saved. Yet many only see as far as his origin, and he himself comes soon to witness both the death of his protector and troubling revelations about the faith. Still, he is determined to support his lord’s widow and new liege to the best of his abilities. So far feels like very solid and fairly classical Epic fantasy with a welcome fresh coat of paint (like the orcs initially present as hired shock troops in the opening battle, but then having a POV and developments back home rather than being just endless disposable mooks irretrievably in thrall to some villain). **BIPOC : Resurgent – C.C. Ekeke 3/5*\* Science-Fiction, Space Opera, Superheros. Rogue alien elements have been executing increasingly successful terrorist hits. They might kinda have a point, because at the end of the previous conflict, Earth-born humans took over their home planet in retaliation, largely shaped it to their own needs and scattered the remaining native populations to mostly servile and unpleasant fates, just so you know. Anyway, in this mess the main protagonist is a non-Earth-born human, begged to come back take over leadership of some very beleaguered special forces he retired from not too long ago, though it looks like disaster struck in the interval and they’re weeks away from being poached out of any worthwile personnel left. **Shapeshifters (HM) : Deep Magic – Gillian St. Kevern 4.5/5*\* M/M Paranormal Romance, rural Wales coastline, Merfolk. One of my annual or bi-annual « I don’t read much Genre Romance but it looks like I picked up this one at some point and it was indeed quite fun. » Long kept from home, or from settling anywhere else for very long with his mother by a strange restlessness they both suffer from, the protagonist comes back to his grandmother’s cottage after she’s taken ill. Maybe walking the paths of his childhood vacations for a while will grant him some peace, or answers a child couldn’t find. **No Ifs Ands or Buts (HM) : Eeny Meeny Criminy Crow – Julie C. Eger 4.5/5*\* Murder mystery. Magical realism, of the darker sort in an impoverished part of the rural USA, though seen through the lens of some fairly resilient kids whose closest adults mostly try their best for them. A young girl sneaking in a place where she definitely wasn’t supposed to be, was hidden observing as a masked boggeyman walked out of his just murdered victim’s home. Afraid to be scolded or killed too, or that she won’t be believed and convinced she doesn’t have much to tell anyway, she only confides in her closest friends. After they decide to cautiously try and uncover more, the make-believe occultish game their slightly older ring-leader convinced them to engage in seems to lead them with uncanny clarity to elements about the situation, present and past. **Family Matters (HM) : L’Héritière – Jeanne-A. Debats 4/5*\* French Urban Fantasy, Paris. After her mother passes away, the protagonist somewhat reluctantly becomes involved in the main family business with her grand-father. I had bought it to replace my Orient Mako II that was losing two to three minutes a day.Two to Three minutes a day may not be a big deal to some, but it bugged the hell out of me, it game a little over two years so I wasn't disappointed and I gifted it to my brother in law as his first automatic. I went with the kamasu with green dial to brighten up my collection and it has a sapphire crystal. I picked this up from Long Island watches, a switch up from my usual Jomashop.
