Hi Everyone, I want some advice on how to deal with situations where the firearm may not be allowed. Just to make it clear, this isn't about how to sneak a firearm into a place that doesn't allow them or how to not know the obviously banned areas.
I have a concealed carry permit and I typically carry my firearm just about everywhere I go. On occasion, my wife and I are in the city or we plan on attending an event that I am just not sure about and I get a anxious because I don't want to show up and see a metal detector or leave it at home and face a situation - God forbit - where I could actually need it. (I.e. an open venue concert, a sight seeing cruise, etc.)
How do you deal with similar situations or if you as police are allowed to bring them past metal detectors what advice would you give me? Right now I pretty much just show up and do a visual check to determine if there is security and metal detectors etc. and if so either end up not going or secure it in a safe in a vehicle.

For context:

Gusto niya mag-try mag-barista pero hindi namin afford ngayon yun enrollment fee na 20k.
Ako - may stable job for 8 years na dito sa planta na dati rin pinagtatrabahuhan ng bf ko. Currently 5 months pregnant at pina-powertrip ng supervisor at manager ko kaya gusto ko na mag-resign. May utang akong 250k in total dahil sa na-scam ako before sa forex at crypto. Binabayaran ko pero usually minimum amount lang kaya nagkakainteres pa rin.

I attempted to unalive myself few times na during the course of my pregnancy pero tuwing ginagawa ko, gumagalaw ang baby ko kaya napipigilan ako. Nagta-try din ako now mag-aral ng freelancing, nag-uupskill ako so I can transition from corpo to wfh para paglabas ng baby ko, kumikita pa rin ako. May nakita akong barista course na free at ni-register ko ang bf ko dahil gusto naman niya, need niya lang makapagpasa ng requirements at makapunta sa interview para malaman if qualified siya. Hindi niya pinuntahan kasi mainit daw magbiyahe since Rizal pa kami nakatira at sa Fairview pa yun.
Ang tanong ko ngayon, worth it pa ba na i-save ko tong relasyon namin? Kahit pagod na ako galing work, nagpupursige akong mag-upskill para makapagstart ako magfreelancing at kumita ng malaki para makapagbayad ng utang at hindi mahirapan pag lumabas ang baby namin. Siya, after niya bumiyahe ng 6am to 10am, uuwi siya, matutulog at madadatnan ko siyang naglalaro lang sa phone. Pakiramdam ko dalawang tao na ang kakarguhin ko kapag nanganak ako. Hindi ko na rin alam kung mahal ko pa ba siya kasi gusto ko na magchange ng mindset ko to growth at magflourish lang sa life at hindi magsettle sa comfort zone kasi ayaw ko mapasa sa anak ko yun trauma ko at mga pains. I’m back again with another mock draft. This time, with a different simulator, because PFF decided to be a bitch and lock rounds 3-7 through their stoopid PFF+ subscription. So now, I’m using NFL Mock Draft Database. Therefore, here’s my mock draft 6.0.
1st round, 21st pick - Dalton Kincaid, TE, Utah
Dalton Kincaid has been a popular choice among Chargers fans this offseason, and Chargers TE coach Kevin Kroger has attended Utah pro-day, which could signal the fact Chargers are paying serious attention to him (even tho Kincaid didn’t participate). Dalton Kincaid took an unconventional path to becoming a productive Pac-12 tight end and potential NFL prospect. Despite only playing one season of high school football, Kincaid possesses impressive pass-catching abilities, including athleticism, strong route-running, good hands, and ball skills. His proficiency at the catch point, outstanding body control, and concentration make him a natural receiver who frequently wins through contact. While he is a willing blocker, his lack of mass and functional strength limits his effectiveness in this area. Kincaid also has a slight injury concern with his back, but its only minor. Overall, Kincaid has the potential to be a quality TE2 behind Everett, with the potential to later become a starter in year 2. (Note: If their’s one other player I would draft besides Kincaid, it would be Bijan)
2nd round, 54rd pick - Tuli Tuipulotu, EDGE, USC
If Chargers are looking for a backup behind EDGE who can become a starter later on, they might find someone at home. Tuli Tuipulotu, an EDGE defender for USC, is a promising NFL defensive lineman with a pro-ready build and alignment diversity to play different roles in multiple fronts. Tuipulotu showcased growth in becoming a better finisher in 2022, with a closer mentality in obvious passing situations and improved first step and fluidity. However, there is some fluidity in his role due to his weight and he may be regarded as a tweener unless asked to pick a lane and commit. Personally I think he fits in Brandon Staley’s scheme and he’s got what a takes to be an edge rusher, he just needs more development in order for him to be starter. Tuipulotu will provide the Chargers with very good depth behind EDGE while learning behind Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa.
3rd round, 85th pick - Marvin Mims Jr., WR, Oklahoma
Chargers fans might find a capable speed WR in Marvin Mims, a highly competitive and explosive playmaker who broke records in high school and became the go-to guy for Oklahoma in 2022. Despite being a smaller receiver, he excels at creating vertical separation, adjusting to the ball in the air, and producing after the catch. Mims is a consistent finisher and an effective blocker with twitch, fluidity, and elusiveness as a route-runner. He’s the type of player who plays above his weight class and his competitive toughness shines as a blocker. Although he may not be suited for an outside receiver role in the NFL, he has the traits to be outstanding as a slot receiver and a dynamic WR2/3 with field-stretching ability and dangerous yards-after-catch skill. He’s the type of player OC Moore needs to help Herbert stretch the field.
4th round, 122nd pick - Mekhi Blackmon, CB, USC
If we’re still in need of a replacement of Nasir Adderley, safety could be the move. However, I firmly believe Chargers will find a replacement in FA (JJIII?), so I went ahead with a versatile CB. USC cornerback Mekhi Blackmon, a scheme-diverse talent at the NFL level, has high-end football IQ, confidence in his route recognition and technique, and clean feet. He became a starter for Colorado Buffaloes in 2020 and enjoyed a breakout campaign for the Trojans in 2022 after missing several games in 2021 due to “soft tissue injuries.” While he isn’t physical and dense enough to shine as an outside player in press-heavy systems, he is an instinctual talent who is confident fulfilling any number of coverage assignments and has good ball skills. Blackmon's size and build are the catalysts of a number of shortcomings, but expectations for Blackmon should have him playing significant defensive snaps for the Chargers, possibly in slot CB.
5th round, 158rd pick - Jarrett Patterson C/G, Notre Dame
Notre Dame has been known for developing quality offensive linemen every draft, and Jarrett Patterson is the latest quality IOL who offers positional versatility in Day 3. Jarrett Patterson is a versatile offensive lineman who played center for three consecutive seasons before switching to left guard as a senior in 2022. While opinions may differ on his best position at the next level, his experience in both positions will be seen as a plus by NFL decision-makers. He has good size, excellent balance, and is a natural knee-bender. As a run blocker, he has very good pad level and leg drive, making him effective in combo blocks. However, as an average athlete, he struggles with lateral quickness and coordination when playing in space. As a pass blocker, he has good instincts, timing, and placement, but can struggle with defenders who are quick off the blocks. Overall, he is a tough, intelligent player who can be a backup for Lindsey, Johnson, or Salyer. Soon enough, he can become a starter in the future for the Chargers.
6th round, 199th pick - Connor Galvin, OT, Baylor
Currently, the only offensive tackle backup that the Chargers have are Jamaree Sayler and Forrest Sarrel, so more depth is need. Connor Galvin, a Baylor offensive tackle with an athletic build and sufficient lateral mobility, is best suited for wide zone offenses as a developmental swing tackle in certain NFL schemes. Although he has started 50 games for the Bears and is well-aligned to identify assignments and pressure opportunities, his functional strength and pad-level inconsistencies may limit him to playing on the edge rather than on the inside. His ceiling as a player may be tempered by his athletic profile, but he has the length and fluidity to potentially earn a role as a swing tackle.
7th round, 241st pick - Derius Davis, WR, TCU
Chargers are still in need of more speed at the WR position, and Marvin Mims is not enough. At the same time, they also need a special teams returner who can return kicks and punts. Its especially important since it doesn’t Derius Davis is a versatile senior receiver for TCU and a proven special teams player, with five punt returns and one kick return for touchdowns. He's primarily a slot receiver but has aligned in the backfield for manufactured touches. Davis is a smooth accelerator who can separate from defenders and make plays in tight, confined spaces, but his slight frame limits his ability to play as an outside receiver against press coverage. He's an immediate impact player on special teams and will need time to develop into a WR3/4.

I wrote a short summary about what Auckland Council / Wayne Brown wants to do in this year. I'm curious: are you okay with this?

• Maintaining the currently reduced number of public transport services (as of December 2022) for 2023/2024
• Reducing regional services such as education programs, regional events, economic development, and other social services activities and local boards

• There is actually a question where they consider using proper rates to fund Auckland infrastructure, but they are not sure if this is a good idea, so they ask around, waiting for answers.

Is a trip to Vice City in your near future? There have been many Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) leaks over the last few years, but the most recent suggests that players will return to a classic GTA location. Rumor has it that Grand Theft Auto VI may take place in Vice City.
This particular rumor started through the usual sources -- Twitter and Reddit. Twitter user Vector Hold, also known as Peter Brian Rice, claimed that Rockstar Games’ music rights representatives have been contacting Synthwave artists. Rice is a synthwave artist himself and has reportedly heard this information from fellow musicians. Rockstar Games hopes that the artists will contribute music for a radio station in the upcoming game. The tweet was posted earlier this week, but Rice has since deleted it.
There was also a reddit post that was created several months ago by user “markothemexicam.” The user claimed that their information was from their roommate. The roommate supposedly formerly worked for Rockstar North. They contended that GTA 6 will be set during an “unspecified” time in Vice City. This post has also been deleted, but has been saved elsewhere on the internet.
It would be tempting to discredit this reddit post as these kinds of claims are a dime a dozen on the Internet. However, another GTA leaker also recently suggested that GTA 6 would be set in a location familiar to players. Both markothemexicam and the GTA leaker have a fairly decent track record with regards to GTA predictions.
Other information on the internet suggests that the storyline of GTA 6 will be focused on drug smuggling. Players will reportedly travel between Vice City and Central or South America. This theory was originally suggested by YouTube channel “The Know” and has since gained quite a bit of popularity.

It is important to keep in mind that all of this information is simply speculation. There have been plenty of fake GTA 6 rumors in the past. For example, a Twitch channel called "GTAVI" appeared this past spring. The channel promised it would provide information about the game during a livestream on April 1st. However, this channel turned out to be an elaborate April Fools’ prank.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was released in 2002 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC. It was the best-selling game of 2002 and received a number of awards. 17.5 million copies of the game have been sold and it has now been ported to several other platforms. It is easy to see why so many players would be thrilled to return to Vice City. Unfortunately, we will know nothing for certain until Rockstar Games decides to make a formal announcement.

Hello everyone, quick question from new player here. I opened up the trader menu to see what perks I could buy, saw one which had biscuits at some buildings, and closed the menu to check if I already had biscuits available. I did, and opened up the menu to buy something else, but all my amber (20) was gone.
I definitely didn't buy anything from the trader, and I don't think I did anything else that removed all the amber (orders, glade events, etc). I've only got 2 glade events active, requesting 6 tools and 12 fabric, respectively. Does anyone know what may have happened or how to prevent this? Some images here https://imgur.com/a/w1ljzmS

I don't always have a specific idea of what I want when I get nails done and other times I'll have an inspo picture to show if I have event/outfit/trip/holidays coming and I'm looking for a particular thing.
When I don't have something specific in mind I may just pick a colour or some hues etc, maybe some nail art or whatever and I'm genuinely very laid back about it and tell the tech they can play around and do whatever or not if they don't want, is that frustrating for you guys? Grand Theft Auto V is one of the most profitable entertainment franchises in the history of games. It came along as a return to form after what many fans would argue was a misstep with the more gritty and realistic GTA 4. Originally released back in 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3—yes, it spans three console generations—developer Rockstar has supported the game's online mode with continual updates adding new content, new areas, and even all-new mechanics.
GTA V was such a runaway success—and GTA The Trilogy: Definitive Edition was such a dumpster fire—that Rockstar gave up working on a Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC, and has now reportedly abandoned plans to remaster more of its beloved older titles to instead focus on both further GTA Online content as well as the development of GTA 6.

Naturally, expectations for GTA 6 are incredibly high, and given the advanced age of GTA V, fans are chomping at the bit for any bit of news. That's why there's so much buzz around a report at Bloomberg that focuses on Rockstar's new corporate culture. Company co-founder Dan Houser left Rockstar in 2020, and ever since then the development house has been trying to reshape a corporate culture that the report refers to as being "like a frat house".
Given the nature and tone of the humor in the Grand Theft Auto series, it's really not surprising to hear that the atmosphere inside Rockstar was juvenile and chauvinistic. The report remarks that the workplace culture at Rockstar was "full of drinking, brawling, and excursions to strip clubs." That may sound like a good time to some, but it's admittedly not very professional.

As part of the report, author Jason Schreier casually reveals that GTA 6 will have at least two playable protagonists, and that one of them will be a Latina woman. This technically isn't the first playable woman nor even the first playable Hispanic woman in the GTA series; the very first GTA game featured a Latina named "Katie" as one of its eight playable characters.
Still, very few of the series' modern fans even remember the old DOS-based Grand Theft Auto, so we can forgive everyone for forgetting about poor Katie. Regardless, the new girl will apparently be part of a Bonnie-and-Clyde-like crime duo, calling to mind the partnership between Claude and Catalina in the beginning of Grand Theft Auto III. Hopefully the partnership between the new player characters in GTA 6 doesn't end the same way that one did.

[01] When does the server reset?
For global, dailies reset at 19:00 UTC and weeklies reset on Sunday.
[02] Should I re-roll this account?
This will depend on your priorities with PvE, PvP, or both, but you can generally see the “ideal” units as Iori, Hibiki, and Tsubaki for most content, while Shun and Haruna are great for PvP.
[03] Who should I spend my elephs on? Who should I mystic unlock?
At the start, prioritize spending your blank elephs on getting Serina to 2-star for the increased healing stat, Tsubaki to 3-star for the extra tankiness when she is reloading. It is generally advised not to spend your elephs on increasing characters to 4-star and 5-star ratings, since there is only a stat increase and the amount of elephs needed is quite high.
[04] What do my support students’ stats do?
Aside from increasing the stats of their own skills, support students will provide additional stat boosts to your striker team. The specific increase(s) can be viewed by clicking on “Support” on the right side of the team formation screen.
[05] What should I buy in the shop?

• Credit Shop - Buy out the bottom row of materials, then the first two tiers of enhancement stones as needed. Feel free to buy the higher tiers of enhancement stones if you feel that you have an excess of credits, which is very common.
• Eligma - This will depend on you, can reference question [03].
• Total Assault (raid) - Prioritize Maki’s elephs (until you unlock her) and save the rest of your currency for future updates that will add more low-rarity students to the shop, meaning you can unlock mystic for them without spending your eligma. You can also purchase the skill discs/blu-rays depending on your needs.
• Tactical Challenge (PvP) - Buy out the energy drinks as needed (warning: they are instantly consumed, they won’t be moved to your inventory). Many suggest to save these for events in order to buy drinks, refresh the shop, and repeat.

[06] What does the “leader” position do?
This is purely cosmetic, as it changes which student’s chibi shows up on the map.
[07] What benefits are there to joining a club?

• 10 AP are given daily and deposited automatically on teacher's mailbox, upon checking in.
• A maximum of two assistant can be set for Total Assault and Joint Firing Drill respectively.

1. Students assigned to assist with TA cannot also be selected to assist with JFD.
2. 20 credits are rewarded every minute by setting assistants.
3. The specific unit that is borrowed can be only used once a day.
4. There's a fee of 40,000 credits, when borrowing a assistant student.
5. The donor receives 50,000 credits instead; even though the fee is 40,000 credits.
6. The fee can only be received 20 times a day.

• It can be unlocked after clearing Mission 3 Act 4

[08] How does the pity system work?
You need to pull, at a minimum, 200 times in order to get 200 recruitment points that are redeemed for the character you want. The recruitment point system does not carry over from banner to banner, it is only shared between banners that are concurrently running.
[09] Why can’t I find my friend’s club?
While the servers’ updates are separated from JP and global, the global servers are separated further into smaller divisions. You need to be on the same server as your friend, which you can check from the home screen: top-right menu button > account > version info. The server must be the same.
[10] When is X banner coming? Should I save for X student?
We never know for sure, due to the fact that global servers are on an accelerated schedule compared to JP. Please refer to this guide for some more info.
[11] Should I use Pyroxenes to refill my AP?
If you want to prioritize progression, the first three daily refills are decently valuable, this is because the Pyroxene cost of refilling will increase for every three refills. If you are focused on character collection or future banners, you should be saving your Pyroxenes.
[12] Why can’t I buy X student’s eleph in the shop?
You can only buy elephs of students you own.
[13] What should I craft?
At the start, prioritize crafting cafe furniture until your comfort is maxed out, then students’ gifts, then whichever upgrade materials you need. The crafting system is the only way to get furniture and gifts at the moment.
[14] What is the “Anniversary” in account settings?
This is your birthday, used for characters to wish you happy birthday.
[15] When will the beginner guide missions for Nonomi end?
This is a permanent addition, so feel free to take your time with the tasks.

You can run any map to farm EXP, as the EXP gain is equal to the amount of AP spent (i.e. 10 AP spent = 10 EXP gained). You should be looking at the stages that drop the equipment upgrade materials that you need.
[17] What is the “Secret Tech Sheet” in the Total Assault shop?
This is used to upgrade a student’s (non-EX) skill to level 10.
[18] Is it worth doing a raid if I can’t pass X difficulty level?
It is always more efficient to clear the highest difficulty you can finish instead of failing/forfeiting a higher difficulty.
[19] Can I claim the Limited Students through exchanging Expert Permits? How often does the Expert Permit shop resets?
You cannot get the limited students via this method. You will still need to pull for them. There's no specific mentioned but it's expected to be monthly.

2003 Sci-Fi/Fantasy 20th Anniversary Summer Rewatch Interest thread

Various pieces of Grand Theft Auto 6 news has been circulating lately, with a variety of leaks and information hitting the web. For example, just yesterday we learned that famed rapper 50 Cent might play a role in the next -- as yet unannounced -- installment of the GTA series. However, fans are growing tired of waiting and have begun to come up with thier own GTA 6 content to tide themselves over.
Posted to YouTube earlier this week, creator TeaserPlay envisioned the Grand Theft Auto 6 world in Unreal Engine 5. Based on prior leaks and information about the game, the technical or concept demo shows a part of what could be Vice City, as we follow a female character walking and driving around. You can check out the full demo below. It is pretty slick looking save for a few minor things.

Interestingly, this is not the first time we have seen fan content for GTA 6, but it is one of the more recent and diverse creations. In any event, fans seem to be chomping at the bit for new GTA news, but Rockstar is keeping its cards close to the vest. Sadly, this is likely due in part to the leaks that happened in 2022, whereafter Rockstar seemed to hold onto any information in an effort to control the narrative around the game. Despite this, there still have been numerous leaks showing off new characters, a bit of the game world, and some of the tech for making GTA 6.
At the end of the day, we hope it won’t be too long before we get some official GTA 6 news, as there has been speculation of a 2024 or 2025 launch. Realistically, that is not all that far off anymore, so stay tuned as we keep our eyes peeled for any new GTA 6 announcements or information.

On the 14th December 2022, I put down a £200 deposit on a £1,995 1993 MK5b ford escort 1.6i 16v LX with the seller, an LTD (limited) trader (not private), 17 days later, on the 31st December 2022, i paid the full price for the vehicle £1,795. I barely used the car in the 3 months and 25 days i have owned it, and i do not use it for work commute.
The advert on Autotrader for the car does not state anything wrong with the car, it only states:
"Lovely and increasingly rare Escort MK5b 1.6i 16v LX 5dr... Outstanding history file with comprehensive documentation back to original order form."
the car had 101,720 miles on it, i put 166 miles on it after purchase on the 31st December, 101,886 miles.

The story:

When i went to look at the car which is the same day i put a deposit down, i did not inspect the car (my mistake), the paintwork of the car was exceptional, but i did not notice anything obvious just glancing at the car. I asked the seller if it starts up, he tried to start it, nothing, then he got an old used diesel battery, put it in the car, didn't start, so he got 4 more diesel batteries, hooked them up via jump leads to the just replaced diesel battery in the car, tried to start it, it started BUT i noticed smoke coming out of the battery terminals and told him "why is there smoke coming out of the battery terminals" to which he brushed off and said "It'll be fine".
After putting the deposit down after him attempting to start the car, he said he'd get an MOT and service done on it within a few days before i purchase the car in full (1.7k). When i picked up and paid the 1.7k for the car on 31st December, he handed us the service history, both keys and the relevant 90s ford service/radio guide books. I go to drive the car, not even a 30 second walk from his garage place of business, the car stalls. I walk back to him as car will not start, he comes out and jumps the car and offers to drive me back home in the purchased car with his son following behind us with his son in the sons own car, i agree. As we drive back i ask why he's revving the car on each gear change, he said "I'm keeping the revs above 1500rpm to make the alternator charge the battery". I arrive home in the car just fine, he parks it on my driveway and gets in his sons car and drives off.
I leave the car for a week or 2, then i take my father out on a short 15 miles or so drive, car starts fine, SEEMS to work OK except the smell of a burning clutch despite being easy on the clutch with no over-revving one time in the short drive, i also notice the vibrations and poor acceleration, brakes being terrible, sloppy gearbox, rolling back with the handbrake on. Once i take it back home, over the course of the next month and a half i randomly once every 2 weeks go out and start the car, turn it off and on, within that month and a half, 3 times i go around the block in the car (no more than 1 mile each time). After the month and a half, i get concerned at the noticed problems which are horrendous, but no different from when i took my father out. I believe at the time, this is just how a 90s car, especially a ford escort drives as i had never driven one or been in one.
I go to a friends house, roughly 20 miles, again, i notice the same problems wrong with it as before when i went out in it with my father, except this time, the suspension also being very dreamy/light.
I go out one morning to start the car, it does not start. I pop the engine bay and notice oil is low, i look under the car, it's got a leak out of the oil sump.... i also suspect at this point one of the 4 cylinders is dead, i also noticed cracked/illegally worn tyres on all sides, corroded/rusted front brake discs, rusted battery bay, pedals footwell rusted (but with a new bolt/washer in the brake pedal), a blown number 9 radiator fan fuse, possibly stretched or worn throttle/clutch/handbrake/footbrake cables, parting seat backing on passengedriver seats, the actual seat where you sit on both passenger & drivers seat cover completely ripped and now putting orange dust everywhere, a broken built in clock, the carpet covering for the rear brake lights in the boot of the car, rusted brake lines, rusted wishbone joints, brake calipers. And lastly, i double check the cars tax, because i paid tax, and the tax expires December 1st, 2023 when that is not when i taxed it in December on the 31st 2022, i check paid car plate checking site "Un-named-car-checking-site-dot-com" and it lists 6 owners, him being the 6th owner, except for, traders are NOT listed as owners anywhere officially. This 6th owner, which is him purchased the vehicle on 14/05/22, and has held ownership for the car as of today, 9 months and 27 days, whereas i should technically be the 6th owner as he is a trader, and there is no 7th owner regardless which would ALSO be me if the trader bought the vehicle under his personal name and not the company name, but the purchase forms state that his company owns and is selling the vehicle.
At this stage, frustrated, i book an appointment for a pre-mot, visual check, and roadworthy/safety check at TC harrisons, ford, on the 21st march 2023 with the intention of getting the paperwork of things wrong with the car from ford, going back to the trader, giving him copies of the official papers from ford and under the consumer act 2015, telling him to repair the car. As if i say X thing is wrong with the car, i understand it is his duty within 6 months of purchase to prove the car when sold and currently had/has no faults, and if found, to repair them. And if i have that paper from ford, he can't just say the car is fine if i say the car is bad because then it's word vs word and he's the trader. I also am currently compiling screenshots of the misleading advert he put up to confront him with.
After booking the appointment, i take out the old battery, charge it up for 2 days, put it back in the car, no bueno, doesn't start. I get a relatives car next to mine, jump my car off of theirs and the car starts but dies if i do not keep the car above 1500rpm, at 2000rpm. The car is now only just running. So i take the opportunity to check out that dead cylinder and the oil. I fill up the oil, car when running is leaking oil faster than if turned off out of the oil sump plug and potentially an oil sump bolt. I also use an old trick to diagnose which cylinder is dead, engine running, i pull off the HT leads/spark plug wire off of cylinder 1's spark plug, i notice the electricity arcing to the spark and can hear the clicking sound, also i notice the engine runs rough when pulling the lead off of the spark plug. I can't access 2 and 3 as they're blocked by an air hose, so i go to cylinder 4, pull the leads off of spark, then engine does NOT change idle BUT i see electricity arcing to the spark and hear the click, BINGO, the vibrations, poor acceleration is due to a dead 4th cylinder. Then the car 10 minutes after being turned on (still running) immediately seizes with a check oil light on the dash, i check oil and oil level is still the same as how much i put in, in between max and min, barely any leak on the floor. I turn the car off and leave it for a day as the appointment was tomorrow, the 21st. (This was NOT related to the spark plug)
I book the TCH appointment in for the 21st, on the 21st, i install a NEW battery and fill up the oil. After putting in the new battery and oil, the car fires straight up and i notice it's actually not vibrating nearly as much, running smoother, and the engine is not moving as much, BINGO, the dead 4th cylinder was due to the bad used battery the trader put in the car (not spark although spark was terrible) and is also the one he must of fried when smoke was coming from terminals (which i think might've also blown the number 9 radiator fan fuse). I take out the 4th spark plug, and notice it's the incorrect plug for the car, it's for a ford fiesta, looks old, yellowed, carbon/oil fouled, beige/white (heat damage) on the spark and that the gap on the plug is too much for what the escort's spark plugs require. the previous day, the car seizing with a check oil light on is irrelevant because when it did, the 4th cylinder wasn't actually firing yet so the damage on spark is not due to the previous day. (unsure of what the current other cylinders' spark plugs are in the car). Meanwhile, while all of this is going on, i go out and buy new sparks, oil, coolant, tools to work on the car which cost a fortune.
Anyways, on the 21st i installed the new battery and oil, oil leak was bad but not a constant stream of oil that'd be dangerous to other road users, i get in the car, there's no oil light anymore, reverse it out my driveway, everything is working fine, until, 20 seconds down the road it feels like the clutch is slipping while stopped at a T junction (it wasn't the clutch), the car drops rpms a bit but brings itself back up quickly, i notice nothing further, 10 seconds from the T junction as i am about to enter a dangerously fast main road, the car cuts out/stalls and the engine immediately seizes and i mean no classic engine drop in rpm when turned off and the vibrational feel, i mean like IMMEDIATELY SEIZED AND STOPPED. At this point I'm already 2 hours late for the TCH appointment, i also notice for half a second thick white smoke out the exhaust, a check oil light on the dash. I do not turn the car back on, i check oil while being an obstruction at the 2nd T junction to enter the dangerously fast main road, it has enough oil, i check coolant, the car ate the coolant, which was at the max mark no more than 3 minutes earlier when i left my driveway. I push the car all the way back to my house, wait an hour for the car to be cold, start it one more time for 8 seconds to which it instantly starts, has slightly above the min mark of coolant in, the engine bay then starts smoking, the engine bay is also extremely hot in only 8 seconds of a cold start, i turn the vehicle off immediately. I suspect the head gasket out of nowhere decided to blow up, due to heat, coolant eating, exhaust smoke, engine bay smoke. BUT in driving the car all the other times, i did not notice any head gasket-like symptoms, yet for the car to suddenly blow a (suspected) head gasket like that and THAT severely and quickly, it had to be extremely bad from purchase, considering all the other problems with the car from purchase.
The day after, 22nd, i get the car recovered to ford, book a new appointment for early next week from now (25/03/23) and I'm hoping they'll in the invoice actually give me the technical breakdown of things wrong with the car, although apparently, they may NOT test the head gasket, only say "engine overheating" due to the checks they're performing potentially not including the head gasket. I also noticed the night prior, the night of the 21st, the trader guy (owner of the company with his wife) STILL did not transfer ownership of the car as it was still under his personal name and/or the company name, a whole 3 months and 21 days later. He gave me a new keepers slip, but did not tell me to do anything with it, he said he sent off the v5c to dvla when i purchased the car (31/12/22) which is also when i paid £295 tax on the car which never got added because i never owned the car (for some reason). I have an insurance policy on the car, and despite being allowed to be insured on a vehicle with another registered owner, i told my insurance i was the owner as i believed i was, making my insurance invalid but i only found that out AFTER recovering the car to TCH on the 22nd, day after the appointment (close call). I'm sure that would of meant i was driving with no insurance and the car would of been seized and sent back to the company, that's a massive fine and points.
After the car was recovered to TCH which was costly!!!, i went to the traders garage/business, recorded the conversation via phone voice recorder so i had records and he couldn't claim intimidation, told him i had not received the logbook/v5c 3 months and 22 days later after he said he sent them when i purchased the car. He said that DVLA must of lost it, or it got lost in the post but then also said he will send them again. I'm no genius, but HOW CAN HE SEND THEM AGAIN IF HE ALREADY SENT THEM AND THEY GOT LOST?!??!??? He also said he owns the car in trade and that they don't get a logbook, and that he said that "they" (dvla) "take 8-10 weeks to send a logbook", it's been 3 months and 25 days. He said he'd call me tomorrow (23/03/23) in the evening but did not specify when, when asked. He did call, but i missed his call. I also noticed the tyres on the car are 175 when they're supposed to be 185s and the "extensive" service history was actually missing quite a lot, including the tyre change, recent repairs/replacements, and a few owners.

As i understand it, if i take copies of the official ford documents about things noticed on my car when i receive them next week to the trader, a screenshot of the misleading description of the car, my own written statement of what i noticed, and the consumer rights act 2015, saying to him: "Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, this car should be of a satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. My rights have been breached because the car you sold me is faulty/doesn’t match the description. I would like you to put this right by repairing the car at your cost." while voice recording the whole thing to have records and dismiss any potential "intimidation" arguments, i should be good? I only want to take the docs to him once i have full ownership of the vehicle though, which will mean keeping him in the dark, just so he transfers ownership to me, then hitting him with the paperwork. I want to keep the car, but get all of my money back. From citizens advice i understand that since i am within 6 months of purchase, i can go to him with the paperwork, request a repair, since the car must of been faulty when purchased, but he would need to prove it which he can't just say the car was fine when sold since the ford document stating things are wrong with the car says otherwise, my statement, meaning he would need to actually fix the problems (which are going to be insanely hard as it's a head gasket + others). Once the repair (if he accepted) is done, as long as he doesn't take too long (i will get in writing from him when he will complete the repair and if longer than said date, get a partial refund and a repaired car), if the repair hasn't solved the problem(s) or another has developed, i may only get part of my money back, depending on how much i've used the car. But i could also ask for a discount if i still want the car. I am unsure of how much money he can deduce by giving me back part of my money divided by the amount of miles I've done or any other factor if there's any guidelines on how little he can pay me since i have used the car. And that i can use an out of court ‘alternative dispute resolution' agency like the motor ombudsman, but i can't if he/his company does not follow the ombudsman's codes which he does not. So it's looking like I'm going to have to go to court (small claims?) if he refuses to pay out after the repair or if the amount he pays out is minuscule in comparison to the price of the car, or if he denies a repair, denies a repair on grounds that everything is currently fine and was fine when sold despite the ford doc and me being within 6 months or any other clause he can use to get out of losing anything. The MOT however, is done by a guy that the trader knows well and is right next to his garage. The DVSA agree that on a 3-5 year old car a test can be completed in 30 minutes and upwards, above 5 years, 45 minutes is acceptable, and older cars as long as it takes, and the MOT failed on 2 things at 11:23am and then passed at 11:47am, 24 minutes, which violates the DVSA minimum time of 30 minutes while considering the trader knows the MOT guy extremely well, paid him to pass it (but can't prove it), and the fact that with what ford come back with in the pre-mot alone, not even with the other checks, WILL fail the pre-mot, and with what I've found, means that, that car should of NOT been passed or been on the roads. I know the trader will attempt to slither his way out of it by way of not paying or repairing or doing anything he can considering he knowing sold a misleading dodgy car, caused immense distress, financial loss and that if i was on a dual carriageway which i needed to go on to reach TCH, if that engine seized, the wheels would of locked up, i would've spun out caused an accident or death to another person or myself, flipping onto the roof of my car. This means, that i think i will end up taking him to court. Which although i feel like my case is clearly the winning side, i feel like i could end up with less or nothing from court, or the court would reach a fair judgement where he actually pays less, or i'm required to give the car back for all of my money, half my money back or a 2nd repair from him. I will have to probably solicitelawyer up (?) which would be the easiest pay days of their lives. I aim to keep the lovely car, but get as much money back as possible. I am not sure on the massive grey areas of the consumer rights act 2015, my specific case or where i stand, but i believe i am massively in the right of winning everything outright in court, or potentially losing, or only gaining half of everything. Also, his company's first accounts made up to 31st march 2021 were due by 2nd december 2021 which he has not filed, he was going to be struck off the register but the Compulsory strike-off action has been discontinued if that means anything. Can i have some guidance on what to do please? i am in a shitty situation with no knowing of law. Thank you for taking the time to read this abhorrently long post.
