i am using windows 11 and i downloaded battlefield 5 through gamepass it used to be that whenever i tried to open it it would open a black screen, maxamise the screen, then close then after a few days of trying evreything ive seen on online forums, reddit, youtube, aswell as reinstalling it several times and trying the built in repair feature, now it just says "your game failed to launch, an error on our end caused your launch to fail. try again a little later." it does not happen for all games, i recently played battlefield 1 with no problems and battlefield 2042 with only crashing a few times allthough that is likely due to my potato pc .im stumped and i dont know what to do i would appretiate any suggestions or fixes very much, thanks in advance

So, I got a 96 Ranger 2wd that started howling. NTB listened to it with their stethoscope for $60 and told me pinion bearings. I took it apart, and had a hard time seeing bad bearings. The guys at my local independent auto parts store agreed. I replaced the front pinion bearing (closest one to flange, right?), probably did the preload wrong cause I got a cheap torque wrench, measured the backlash, put it together, aaaaand it still howled around 15-20 mph. Replaced axle bearings, still howled. I decided to replace the rear pinion and ring gear bearings just to cover all my bases. When removing, the spider gears fell out, and I noticed a broken shim on one. New set ordered. Then my parts store guy (they remove and press on the pinion and ring gear bearings) called me to say he felt a strange wear pattern on the pinion gear and also suspected the shim under the pinion bearing was not spec.

1. Will a shop be able to machine the pinion gear or do I just order a new set (around 150 on rock auto)?
   
2. Does the new one come with the correct shim?
   
3. If I rent the $100 torque wrench from autozone to do the preload right, measure backlash on multiple gear teeth, and paint the gears to check contact pattern, what are my chances of doing this correctly?
   

I'm good with taking it to a shop to check my work when done. Do they do this? I'm happy to pay for their time. I really want to learn to do this myself.

I saw that dream when I was a teenager. Back then, I was practicing witchcraft on and off. I still shed tears when I try to remember that dream. It felt almost real. It had even led me to practice Kemetic Wicca. I'm ex-Pagan and I was a beloved priestess of Inanna/Aphrodite (I consider them as a same goddess).
In that dream I took a taxi to reach a certain destination. I didn't know the where was the village is. So, I handled down the city map to the driver. He took look at it and started driving. As he drove surroundings started changing. When we reached out to the village, I felt like I was in an another country. The village seemed strange and foreign.
The driver told me that was the destination I wanted to reach. I paid and got out of the vehicle. There was a small motel standing in front of me. I went inside. It had no doors and the building was looking old. It was run by a interracial couple. A black lady greeted me and took me to a room. Then, we started chatting each other. She told me that I was her "niece". She seemed familiar and motherly. She was also veiled like an African lady. Her white husband was sitting along with her. They also had a son in traditional Arab dress. He also seemed familiar, almost identical to my grandfather. PS: My grandfather has North African (Ottoman-Egyptian) and Kurdish ancestry and he can easily pass as an Arab but I don't have known black or Afro-Egyptian ancestors.
She got a chair to get me sat. Later on candle she started brushing and braiding my hair. She told me that I must close my eyes. It was going to be a surprise but it was obvious that she was a witch and casting a spell on me. The notes in walls and the books was the evidence. They were in Arabic (I didn't know what did they mean.) and occult themed. There were incenses burning and they were smelling like mrryh. Back then, I didn't even know what a mrryh plant is. I learned it after I started worshipping the deities but I still remember the smell. There were also white candles burning in the altar (goddess energy). PS: Mrryh is considered sacred in Ancient Egypt and can be offered to the Netjeru (the deities).
When I opened my eyes, I looked at the mirror. I felt extremely shocked. I was transformed. I wasn't even a white-passing teenager I was turned into a adult black woman. I was dressed in a khaki military uniform with badges. I even had a rifle and it felt extremely heavy. I could feel it. I kept staring at myself and everywhere. The lady said "Did you like it?" out of nowhere. I couldn't say a word.
Then, we went to the backyard. I saw a cow of theirs. It was my great grandma's cow we used to take care of when I was a child. I also remember seeing a beautiful rose (a flower commonly associated with Isis, Hathor, Inanna and Aphrodite). I woke up after smelling the rose.
I also used to had dreams of speaking Arabic and pseudo-Kurdish (Kurdish mixed with gibberish speech) with unknown people. It's weird because I can't speak Arabic or Kurdish. I can tell them apart but I can't even speak a word. Plus, excuse my broken language. I'm high on my emotions now.

ETA: Okay I just found a post here on nashville which clarified that I shouldn't face any big consequences (the comment from the user "freemytree" made me feel better, I'm not sure how to tag that user to thank them though because I'm very much a Reddit newb), but I would still like to know what will happen in the ticket situation.... Soooo I may be massively overthinking this but I am a champion-level overthinker so that's normal for me. If I'm not overthinking it though, I'm super worried that I made a huge mistake.
I got my registration renewal notice prior to my license plate (the original old white and green one) expiring in October, but I really did not want to get the new standard TN plate (the dark blue one) because I wanted to get a specialty plate instead. However, you have to go to the county clerk office in person if you want to get a new specialty tag which, between my work schedule + traveling a lot for work + being out of the country for a chunk of the winter, I did not have time to do until today (I know, I know - I could have forced a way to make time.... but I didn't and I can't go back and change that now).
Yesterday, I came back to my legally-parked car and was surprised to see a ticket - it was for having an expired registration. I was annoyed because I knew I was planning on going to get my new plate today, but I couldn't have known that a cop would see my plate and ticket me while I was at work the day before I was planning on (finally) getting a new plate.
So I went to get the plate today and I mentioned that I had been out of the country for a chunk and was sorry that I was so late getting the registration renewed. The gal who helped me was super understanding and handed me an affidavit to sign stating that I had not driven the car (it also said had not received any citations) since the registration expired as if that was totally fine - I told her that I had in fact driven the car but she just said "yeah it's fine, thanks for your honesty but it's all good, just sign this" and I honestly didn't know what to do at that point so I just didn't mention the ticket. Then she deactivated my old license plate number, I paid for the new license plate, and I left (absolutely panicking in my overthinker brain). I tried to pay the ticket online, but it wouldn't go through. I even called the ticket office people and they said it just isn't in the system yet and to try again next week.
My question is this - am I going to get into serious trouble if it becomes clear that I'm paying a ticket on what is now a deactivated license plate because I signed that form?? Or is it more likely that I will just pay the ticket and move on with my life and everything will be fine?

TL;DR - Didn't renew license plate after it expired because I wanted a specialty tag, got a ticket on my parked car yesterday for expired registration, got a new tag today and was made to sign a form saying I hadn't driven or received a citation on the car and was told it was fine even though I told the lady that I had driven it, now I'm worried that I'll get into serious trouble trying to pay the ticket on my now-deactivated old license plate.

I contacted this hell hole to get a service appt 2 days ago and today I got an email saying they issued me 24 month extension notice and so I no longer need the appt and it's closed.
Well the problem is I don't have my green card. So I called them to ask why they closed the request but they checked the queue system and said the request is still open. So I'm so confused. Has this happened to anyone?
Mind you the application has been in process for more than a year. 🙄

EDIT: Some progress. It seems the Pixel was several months behind on both security and play system updates. Updating those has allowed me to progress through place where I was stuck previously, but now, once I select what data I want to transfer, it says copying data, then immediately fails to copy everything, and I can't seem to get it to actually copy. I've tried a couple different cables to no avail. New thoughts would be appreciated!
TL;DR: Trying to copy data from iPhone to Pixel 6a, keeps getting stuck preparing to copy data, tried a miriade of things to no avail, looking for suggestions if anyone's experienced something similar.
I'm not sure if anyone has a solution or thoughts to this, but I've already searched the subreddit history and haven't found anything helpful.
I'm helping someone set up their new 6a from their old iPhone SE 2, and every time I get to the "copy data" page, I get stuck. I plug the two phones in together, and it acknowledges they're connected but then when it gets to "preparing to copy" it just spins endlessly and makes no progress at all.
I've tried multiple different cables (both USB-C and A), and even factory reset both phones (then resetup the iPhone from an iCloud backup).
Obviously some data can transfer manually, but the key thing missing right now is that I have no other way to transfer their entire text message history, which is why I can't use the wireless transfer setup.
We've been working on this for the better part of 3 days and had no progress. Of course, when talking to Google support, their only suggestion is to call Apple to have them help, and obviously Apple (understandably) says to call Google, so that support loop is entirely unhelpful.
If anyone has anything to try that we maybe haven't tried yet or has dealt with something similar please let me know. I've loved Pixel for years, but for a first time user this is becoming a truly heinous experience.

I have holdings in Ally and find that they were not mentioned in the original 8K or the supplemental 8K as a broker notified by Sorrento. So I'm still fairly new to bass, been playing for a little while and absolutely loving it, and I love my trbx504, think it's just wonderful.
I was thinking of picking up a cheap second bass to learn to do maintenance myself, and to modify and make my own, so was wondering about some solid bases (lol) to start off with where I can change pickups, maybe wiring, tuners, bridge, controls, etc and just build up to something fun and unique, and different than my 504? Might even end up changing the neck if I can find some affordable ones. Will also act as sort of a practice run for things like changing strings, doing a full setup on my own and all that kind of stuff, so then I'll feel more confident doing it on my nice, expensive (to me) main bass.
Was thinking a cheap passive pj (maybe just a p bass) to have a different option and set of pickups, give a bit of tonal variety, so I was looking into a full scale ibanez talman which I can get for around £200. There's also cheap Harley Benton basses that can go all the way down to like £95, and some east cost basses which are in the middle. Squier affinity series are also around that sort of price range I believe. If someone has any reason that a j bass might be better then I'll definitely take a look into some, but I really like that mids heavy bass tone that seems to be very common with p pickups. Think the talman is probably my first choice right now despite being on the more expensive side, I think they look great and ibanez is a big name so the quality should still be decent.
For pickups I really like the sound demos I've heard of the dimarzio model P's. Don't really know much about bridges or tuners, so that'll be fun to research but switching to something lightweight could be good just for playability.
Was also thinking maybe a 5 string? I listen to a fair bit of metal and heavy rock, and 5 strings just offers lower options without having to mess with the tuning on my yammie. Maybe even something short scale lime the TMB35.
If anyone has any ideas for additional mods that I haven't thought about I'd love to hear them? Or any mods you've done to your own bass that were/weren't worth it and why? Just seems like a fun little project that will end up with me having two nice, different basses.

Halos 2 years na akong nagrereview for the board exams pero lagi akong nagrerelapse and nagsusuicidal attempts, kaya hindi ako matuloy tuloy maka-take. My mom cannot understand me and even physically abused me pag nagagalit siya na wala pa ako nararating. So, I asked my boyfriend to move in with me para makalayo sa abusive kong mother. Now that I live with my SO, we only meet our needs pero I can't afford my therapy. I still try to review pero never naging consistent because I would always get panic attacks and depressive episodes. Dati nung college ako, I occasionally went to my psychiatrist and took my meds too pero the effects were not as effective as it was supposed to be to me. Hindi ko na alam gagawin ko. I want to overcome this phase of my life na makapasa but I can't because parang cycle nalang siya. I don't want to live anymore, I don't even want to survive. Pero sa kakabalak ko magboard exam, parang di ko na rin mamotivate sarili ko because wala na din ako ganang mabuhay. I always wanted to just sleep and not wake up.

I have been confused for sometime about how expense ratios are charged with mutual fund or ETFS.

1. How vanguard VOO has an expense ratio of 0.03%. Is this an annual charge of 0.03% of my money in that fund? If so, when does the charge actually happen? Let's say I don't have my money in that VOO fund the entire year am I still charged the 0.03%, even though they only managed my money for half the time?
   
2. I have my 401k in the S&P 500 right now because the expense ratio is lower than a target date fund and I am young. But when I get older, 45-50 years of age, I want to move all my money from the S&P to the target date fund 2060. Let's say the expense ratio for that target date fund is 0.08% and I move $50,000 over. Will they instally charge me that 0.08% on the $50,000 or do they wait a year?
   
3. This is a side question to question 3. I really do have my 401k all in the S&P 500 due to low expense ratio fees. And plan on keeping it there till I am older and then moving it to the target date fund where it will lower my risk. Is this a good or bad move? Am I hurting my funds by not having it in the target date fund now? I really don't see why I would put it in the target date fund if the S&P has cheaper fees and gets similar or better returns than the target date fund.
   

Please give me some insight on how these Fund Expenses are charged to me when using them.

I am in a situation where I could assume a 2.25% VA loan but the loan servicer is not allowing a second mortgage through them (or anyone else) to buy out the seller's principle. They have left me with the choice of either:

1. Taking a personal loan (unfeasible, since the principle buyout is 100k+)
2. Forgoing the assumption and taking a normal mortgage at current market rates.

Is there anything I'm missing here? I'd hate to pass up the opportunity to assume a mortgage at that rate, but it doesn't seem like they are leaving me any other choice.
My DTI is not the issue, since my spouse and I have a very decent combined income and zero debts. Our DTI even with the second mortgage should be well within a lender's appetite for risk.

I'm not a fan of how a lot of fics (and even canon) focusing on their relationship will retcon it to be gentle, if distant as if they didn't argue heatedly in episodes 2 and 3 like they'd been doing it for years. I think Obi-Wan cares about Anakin and just doesn't know how to handle him and I think Anakin wants Obi-Wan's approval, but is naturally rebellious, requiring more discipline.
I don't need to see that dynamic specifically (that's my own take on it), but I would like to see more fics that show how tense their relationship was while showing that they at least tried to make it work. Or in cases of angst, showing how their lack of connection led to the breakdown of their friendship. (No shipping fics pls)

I'm a 41(M) with a PhD in Audiology. I've worked in clinical settings for the past 15 years and I'm burnt out. The profession isn't a good fit for me. I need a life change.
I've done some hearing conservation testing and work-relatedness determinations for local industry so have some familiarity with OSHA noise standards. I don't have any qualms with learning whatever I need to learn with certs, self-study, and the online masters from CSU.
Im concerned that even with a masters and some relevant certs that it will be a challege w/o experience. How hard will it be for me to break into the field considering I'm coming in from a different area? Any suggestions? Unfortunately, deploying on HuggingFace is a monthly payment, instead of by-call, which isn't ideal because I don't expect to have many users, if at all. Does anyone know about any website that would make me pay on a call-by-call basis instead? Preferably using a custom model like anything-v3?

Sorry if this is super wordy. Including all details because I feel like I'm going crazy.
Last year I went to psychotherapy for a couple months through a telehealth service. I found a small organization and therapist who seemed to specialize in what I was dealing with and had good recommendations. It cost $150 per 45 minute session. Conducted by phone weekly.
One of the sessions was scheduled in the middle of the day so I had to take off work. Never received a phone call. After 15 minutes I emailed asking what had happened and if we could reschedule. A full hour after the appointment time he replied saying he had called once, and offered a reschedule time the next week. Also let me know if that happened again he would drop me, essentially. I sent a screenshot of my call history, including missed work calls, but nothing from him. No reply, I thought we had an understanding.
He later charged my card full cost for a "no show." I sent him an email explaining that I didn't think it was reasonable, I did everything I could have, used vacation, etc. He sent a somewhat condescending email back about how I should make sure my spam filter is off (it is, I work in IT. No other issue with his calls.) and I should call him if he doesn't call me after 10 minutes. I did not know this was possible, as he relays through an out of state service. Also, it seems like only trying once is kind of ridiculous. He clearly wasn't devoting the time to me since my email went unanswered until after the session should have ended. He refused to discuss billing further outside our appointment time.
At this point I also cancel further meetings since I felt a bit taken advantage of, and lay out my final case. He responds that he understands. But no refund. After a month, I call and leave a message with the parent organization and it is forwarded to him.. He plays dumb saying "I understand you have further billing questions?" and once again ignores my reply. This was almost a month ago.
The documents I signed specify I am financially responsible for no shows or late cancels, but doesn't define those terms. It definitely doesn't say I'm responsible for all technical issues on either end, or what my options are if I don't get a call.
Is that a valid case for chargeback? I don't want to be a jerk, but that $150 means a lot to my family right now.

I was looking at running an adventure with dungeon crawling and a Hex-crawl, and one of the things I'd like to focus on is resource management. D&D 5e doesn't have a great system for managing resources over the span of a day or the span of weeks (an expedition), so I was looking to homebrew a lot of solutions into that if I end up running it in 5e.
I was instead looking at running this in Pathfinder, and hoping there might be some prebuilt solutions for me.
Some vague ideas I had in 5e, to kind of show what I'm looking for: Remove magical conjuration of food and water. Limit magical healing to use hit dice and reduce hit die recovery while resting in the wilderness. Increasing death saves until death, but only recovering them with bedrest.
Pathfinder 2e seems to provide a lot of out of combat healing, and I've read that it is balanced for combats expecting the party to fully or nearly fully heal between each fight. I don't know enough and don't want to touch that balance, so I'm just wondering if there is a standard "overlay" that doesn't break the parts of the game that are well balanced, but adds an additional layer of resource management over the course of a single adventuring day, and something that adds resource management over the course of an expedition. As I see it now, the only two daily resources a party has are time and non-focus spells. An martial party seems to theoretically be able to keep going all day with treat wounds between fights.
